PIE(Photo in education)를 활용한 창의적 공간디자인 교육에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 PIE를 활용하여 창의적인 공간디자인 교육방법을 제시하고 학생들의 창의력을 향상시키는 것이다. 공간디자인교육의 중요한 방향은 창의성 교육이다. 창의적인 사고를 하기 위해서는 학생들이 창의적인 발상과 적극적인 표현능력이 개발될 수 있도록 지원하는 교과목이 필요하다. 따라서 창의적 공간디자인 능력을 개발할 수 있는 체계적인 교육과정이 필요하다. 이제 시각적 소통과 반응이 더 친숙한 학생들을 위해 새로운 교육적 패러다임이 필요한 때가 되었다. 이 연구에서는 공간디자인 교육을 위한 기초조형교육에서 전통적인 교육방법인 그리기, 스케치 대신 사진을 활용하여 기초디자인 발상과 표현의 방법을 찾아보았다. 사진은 리얼리즘의 가장 대표적인 수단이지만 본래의 기능을 넘어 의미와 사상을 표현하는 도구가 되기도 한다. 연구의 방법은 세 가지 카테고리로 구성되어 있다. 첫째, 공간디자인 교육의 역사를 고찰하고 사진과의 연관성을 살펴본다. 둘째, PIE와 공간디자인 프로그램의 비교를 통해 공간디자인 교육의 방향성을 모색한다. 셋째, 기존 사례를 통하여 PIE를 활용한 창의적 공간디자인 교육 방법을 제시하고 수업의 결과물을 분석한다. 교육계획을 요약하면 아래와 같다. 점, 선, 면의 구성요소를 찾고 촬영하는 교육, 빛과 사물의 위치에 따라 실루엣이 형성되는 사진을 촬영하는 교육, 수평, 수직, 황금분할을 찾아내고 촬영하는 교육, 중첩되어 나타나는 형태의 질감과 패턴을 촬영하는 교육, 원근법을 찾아내어 촬영하는 교육, 포토몽타주의 제작 기법 교육, 스토리를 만들고 사진으로 촬영하는 교육, 사물을 색다른 시각으로 바라보는 사진적시각 교육을 제시한다. 수업 과정은 PIE 프로그램 별로 진행이 되었다. 이러한 과정을 실제 수업에 적용해 본 결과 학생들은 수업에 흥미를 가질 수 있었고, 유추, 창의력, 상상력, 시지각 능력, 관찰력뿐만 아니라 호기심 유발과 연상, 집중력을 높여 학생들의 창의력 향상과 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 이와 같은 교육 방법은 공간디자인 교육과 연계하여 학생들이 자발적으로 참여하는 창조적인 사고를 키워 적극적인 수업 참여가 이루어질 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study is to present a teaching method of the creative space design education and to improve creativity of the students using the PIE. The important direction of the space design education is creative education. The subject of creative thinking may need which could support to creative thinking and positive expression. Therefore, systematic curriculum to develop creative space design is needed. It is time to prepare new educational paradigm for students who are mostly more familiar to visual communication and reaction. In this study, I looked into the ways of design based thinking and expressing using photographs instead of conventional drawing and sketching in basic plastic education for space design. Photos are the most mean of realism. but also a tool which presents the idea and meaning of the object beyond its original function. This method of study has three categories. First method of study is reviewing the history of the space design education and study the connection of the picture. Second method is sought of the direction of education through the compare of PIE with the space design program. The thirdly, it suggests the teaching method of creative space design using PIE through existing cases and the results of teaching will be analyzed. The teaching plan for each elements summarized are as follows. To teach how to find out the elements of an object such as points, lines and surfaces, and shooting. To teach a technique of shooting photos that show silhouette formed in accordance with light and position. To teach how to find and Shoot horizontal, vertical and golden sections. To teach how to shoot the patterns and textures of overlapped images. To teach how to shoot the perspective. To teach the technique of producing photomontages. To teach making a story and shooting it. It Suggests how to teach photographic vision different from optical vision. The courses were conducted by PIE program. As a result, applied this program to the classroom lessons, students are able to have more interest in learning, curiosity causes, association of idea, high levels of concentration as well as, analogy, creativity, imagination, visual perception ability, cognitive ability, which improved creativity of the students and their positive impact. It is expected that students will be keen to contribute the classes with growth of creative thinking which encourages voluntary attitudes, in conjunction with education of space design.
