본 연구는 자폐아동을 대상으로 명사와 동사 이름대기 과제에서 단어유형(명사 vs. 동사)에 따른 정반응를이 일반아동과 어떠한 차이를 나타내는지를 비교하였다. 대상아동은 자폐아동 14명과 그림어휘력검사 결과의 등가연령을 일치시킨 일반아동 14명이었다. 이름대기 검사는 명사 60문항, 동사 60문항으로 된 그림이름대기과제로 실시하였다. 연구결과, 낱말 유형에 따른 집단 간 차이에서 자폐아동이 동사 이름대기에서 일반아동에 비해 낮은 수행력을 나타냈다. 반면 명사 이름대기에서는 두 집단 간에 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 집단 내에서의 명사 및 동사 수행력을 살펴보면, 자폐아동의 경우 명사와 동사 중 동사 이름대기에서 더 낮은 수행력을 보였다. 대조적으로 언어연령을 일치한 일반아동의 경우 명사 이름대기에서 더 낮은 수행력을 보였다. 따라서 자폐아동은 명사에 비해 동사의 습득에 더욱 어려움이 있을 것으로 보인다. The purpose of this study was to examine the naming abilities of the children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders(ASD). The children with ASD have some difficulties in learning the wording for what they are expected to express, and this is especially true for verbs more than nouns. The subjects were 14 ASD children who were matched with typically developing children on a standardized Korean word-comprehension test. A picture confrontation naming task was used in this study. The naming task included 60 nouns and 60 verbs. To elicit the children’s responses, the examiner asked each children “what is this?” for the nouns and “what’s happening?” for the verbs. Data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA with repeated measures. As a result, the children with ASD demonstrated a higher frequency of misnaming than did the typical children, and this occurred only for the verbs(t = 3.848, p = .001). This result supports previous studies that showed that the children with ASD have more difficulty in producing verbs than nouns, when using adopted spontaneous speech samples.
