대학생의 취업스트레스와 중독행동의 관계: 불안의 매개효과를 중심으로

전 세계적인 경제여건의 악화 및 고용시장의 불안정으로 청년실업이 사회문제로 부각 되고 있는 가운데, 생애 첫 노동시장 진입을 앞둔 대학생은 상당한 취업스트레스를 겪고 있으며, 이로 인해 부정적인 심리사회적 결과를 나타내고 있다. 본 연구는 대학생의 취업스트레스가 다양한 중독행동에 미치는 영향에 주목하고, Agnew의 일반긴장이론에 기반하여 취업스트레스와 인터넷중독 및 음주문제간의 관계와 불안의 매개효과 검증을 목적으로 실시되었다. 조사대상은 전국 14개 대학의 3, 4학년 446명이었으며, 자기보고 식 응답을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 변인간의 관계를 구조방정식으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 조사대상 대학생의 17.9%가 인터넷중독으로, 63.5%가 고위험음주 이상의 문제음주자로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 취업스트레스는 인터넷중독에는 유의미 한 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으나 음주문제의 경우에는 유의미하지 않아 취업스트레스는 중독행동 유형별로 영향력에 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 불안은 취업스트레스와 인터넷중독, 음주문제의 중독행동 사이에서 모두 매개효과가 검증되었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 취업스트레스를 겪는 대학생의 심리사회적 어려움에 대한 사회복지영역의 실천적, 정책적 함의를 논하였다. While unemployment issue arising from the global economic downturn and the unstable job market is regarded as social problem, college students are under heavy job-seeking stress so that the negative psychosocial consequences happened to them. In this study, a model of the relationship between job-seeking stress and additive behaviors among college students based on Agnew`s general strain theory was tested empirically. A survey was conducted with 446 undergraduate students enrolled in 14 universities in Korea. Through structural equation analysis, the major results are as follows. Firstly, it showed that 17.9% of participants have the internet addiction and 63.5% of participants are regarded as problem drinkers. Secondly, job-seeking stress showed a significant effect on internet addiction but it shows a non-significant effects on drinking problem. Thirdly, mediating effect of anxiety showed in this model. Theoretical and practical implications of job-seeking stress and addictive behaviors among college students are discussed, and future research directions are outlined.
