The purpose of this study is to investigate freshwater algae flora of Sayon and Daeam Reservoirs in Ulsan (Kyungnam Province) from January to December 1994, Bacillariophyceae was investigated and classified by Simonsen`s classification system and the others by Smith`s. 327 taxa of the freshwater algae were examined from Sayon and Daeam Reservoirs. These taxa are composed of 8classes, 18orders, 8suborders, 36 familes, 88genera, 248species, 1subspesies, 63varieties, 11forma and 4unidentified species. The composition of algae in Sayon and Daeam Reservoirs is characterized by the higher persentages of Bacillariophyceae and Chlorophyceae. Concentrations of Chlorophyll a varied in the range of 0.2 and 164.7㎍/ℓ in the surface water. The highest concentration of Chlorophyll a which are observed in the surface water of both site are in Jun and July. Bacillarophyceae significantly appears in the lower water temperature of winter and Chlorophyceae in the higher water temperature of summer in the various species.

In order to study Chrysosphaerella and Spinigeromonas(Paraphysomonadaceae) from Korea, Samples were collected at 7 dams during the period grom May, 1991 to April, 1992. As a result 11 species and 1 forma for a total of 12 taxa were identified. among these, Spiniferomonas alata, S. silverensis are recorded for the first time in Korda. According to frequncy of S. trioralis which appeared in 81% of the total samples(84) was the most common taxa, while S. bourellyi appearing in 61%, C. brevispina appearing in 31% and C. annulata appearing in 24% were also common taxa, S. takahashii f., S. bilacunosa and S. serrata appeared throughout all seasons but with a low frequency. Other taxa were found but with a poor distribution. When arranged in order of number of taxa appearances, the present condition of the study areas is as follows: Kaldam-Dam 11 taxa, Damyang-Dam 10 taxa, Taech`oˇng-Dam 9 taxa and Hapch`oˇn Dam, Ch`ungju-Dam, Ch`unch`oˇn-Dam and Uˇiam-Dam 8 taxa each respectively.

The present study gives the Classification of Scale-bearing Chrysophytes collected from Chunam Reservoir in Changwon city from April and October in 1995. As a result of the present study, a total of 28 taxa represented. Mallomonas acaroides Peterfi emend. Ivanov var, obtusa Ito is new recorded from Korea Peninsula, a total of 97 taxa has been known Korea peninsula.

본 연구는 1994년 1, 4, 7, 10월의 4회에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 조사 결과 동정 분류된 식물성 프랑크톤은 대암호가 6강 84분류군, 산남저수지가 5강 109분류군으로 전체 6강 169분류군이 출현하였다. 월별 종조성은 4월에 산남저수지, 대암호 모두 14분류군으로 가장 빈약하였다. 대암호는 1월이 32분류군, 산남저수지는 10월에 49분류군이 출현하였다. 강별 구성비에서 두 지역 모두 녹조강(56.0%)이 가장 많고 다음이 규조강 순이다. 대암호 7월에 Mycrosistis aureginosa가 수화 현상을 유발하였으며 이 때 chlrophyll a가 164.4 pH 9.99를 나타낸 것이 특이하다. 그 외 환경요인은 두 호소 모두 유사한 경향을 보인다. Phytoplankton flora of Sannam - Reservoir and Daeam - Lake were studied. A total of 169 taxa (Sannam-Reservoir 109 taxa : Daeam - Lake 84 taxa) were indenfied. The Major taxa of two localities was Chlorophyceae 56.2% and Bacillariophyceae 25.2%. The Characteristic Phenomenon on the Daeam-Lake were the blooming by Cyanophyce ae Microcystis aeruginosa during the July(Chlorophyll a 164.4, pH 9.99).

The present study was to examine of Scale-bearing Chrysophyta in natural swamp Daep' yeong from May 1991 to November 1991. This study shows that 32 taxa belong to 2 Class, 2 Order, 2 Family, 5 Genus, 21 Species, 2 Subspecies, 3 Variety, 6 Forma. The present condition of occurrence on monthly show that 9 taxa from May and June, 10 taxa from July, 25 taxa from Auguest, 21 taxa from September, 16 taxa from October and 15 taxa from November. Therefore, the conservation of natural swamp plant shows 36taxa. Newly recored species in this station is 11taxa belong to Mallomonas elongata, M. matvienkoae for. matvienkoae, M. areolata Synura petersenii for. praefracta, S. petersenii for. kufferathii, S. echinulata, Chrysosphaerella brevispina, Spiniferomonas serrata, Paraphysomonas gladiata, P. circumvallata subsp. circumvallata, P.bandaiensis. Nutual relation between water temperature and pH for the scale-bearing Chrysophyta is representative of acidophil, low temperature and oligotrophic lake, but present study was experience of occurred at high temperature water and alkaline waters.
