Based on ±35kV-scale MVDC hybrid distribution system to demonstrate MVDC distribution technology, this paper presents scenarios of contingency fault analysis and modeling for impact evaluation on MVDC hybrid distribution system in order to examine the operation characteristics of MVDC facilities and customers. And also, this paper proposes a modeling of the ±35kV-scale MVDC hybrid distribution system using PSCAD/EMTDC, which is composed of distribution substation, MVDC distribution feeder, converter station and PV system. From the simulation results of fault analysis in MVDC distribution system based on the modeling for impact evaluation on distribution system with the fault scenarios, it is confirmed that tremendous fault current can be momentarily occurred due to discharging of DC link capacitor in converter station regardless of fault type. Furthermore, it is found that the faults in MVDC feeder can cause the phenomenon of under-voltage at customers in other feeder of the main transformer. In addition, it is clear that the malfunction of recloser in other feeder can be prevented due to ungrounded system of MVDC system, and also the voltages of AC 22.9kV bus and MVDC feeder are maintained in a stable manner even if ground fault is occurred in AC 22.9kV feeder.

This paper proposes a performance improvement of synchronous generator using exciter control with field coils parameter estimation technique. In general, the generator excitation system controller uses the PID controller. When the Field winding impedance changed, the PID gains must be changed. General method is difficult to apply varying capacity of the synchronous generator. The proposed control method determine automatically measure the internal impedance of the synchronous generator‘s exciter and configure the controller. This method can be applied regardless of the generator capacity. So it is possible to apply a variety of synchronous generator systems. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulations and experiments.

In this study, the effect of water level and temperature on the power generation was investigated in a water tank with an aquavoltaic PV module to perform feasibility research for the development of salt farm aquavoltaic system. The silicon solar cell attached to the bottom of each water tank is a 1-cell mini module, and the underwater effects of the crystal phase (19.0~19.9% of single- & 17.9~19.9% of poly-crystalline) of the PV module were investigated, and power generation characteristics for water level (0~10 cm) and temperature (10~40°C) were analyzed. The deterioration coefficients according to the water level and temperature of each single- and poly-crystalline module were investigated at very similar levels such as, –2.01 %/cm and –2.02 %/cm, –0.50 %/°C and –0.48 %/°C, respectively. Therefore, in salt farm aquavoltaic system, water levels need to maintain as low as possible, and heat-induced degradation is similar to those shown in general land, and no factors have been found to be affected by the underwater environment depending on the determination.

There are many researches for head detection and tracking. Most of them are based on RGB images or RGB-D images. However, RGB based methods are sensitive to skin color and lightness. And RGB-D based approaches have a problem of calibration. Also for head tracking, a problem of occlusion by hands should be solved necessarily. To this end, we propose a depth-based head detection and tracking method. Also, using sub-block matching method we solve the problem of occlusion by hand.

In this paper, a new topology which can add a small reactor in series to a condenser-bank type reactive power compensator to limit current is proposed. And also the proposed topology can add or remove a power condenser safely without any addition of inrush-current suppression resistance. The proposed method tests variable resistance of the drain source of a switching device which is controlled by gate voltage in a two-way switch with a diode rectifier and FET switch. In other words, the proposed method is a inrush-current suppression method with the structure of variable resistance. In particular, the proposed method creates smooth current without any resonance in inrush-current as well as is not limited by the time of switch on and off.

최근 , 하루 중 대부분의 시간을 실내공간에서 보내는 현대인에게 있어 쾌적한 실내 열환경은 필수불가결한 요건 이다 . 본 논문에서는 오피스텔을 대상으로 사무공간과 주거공간에서의 재실자의 활동에 따른 온열감을 예측평균온열감 (PMV; Predicted Mean Vote) 지표를 사용하여 검토하였다 . 또한,오피스텔에 ス}무공간과 주거공간별로 세가지 난방방식 (바닥복사난방, 천정형 시스템에어컨 , 바닥복사난방 겸용 천정형 시스템에어컨)을 적용했을 경우의 온열감에 대하여 PMV를 활용하여 비교,검토하였다 . Recently, comfortable indoor thermal environment is an indispensable requirement ror modem people who spends most of their time in the indoor space. In this paper, thermal comfort was investigated according to the activities of the people of office space and residential space in the officetel using PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) index. In addition, thermal comfort was compared when three heating system (the radiant floor heating, the air conditioning system, the air conditioning system with radiant floor heating) applied in officetel.
