중국 현대소설을 통해 본 성과 계급 ― 배제와 분리를 통한 지배

        李玲子 한국중국현대문학학회 2007 中國現代文學 Vol.0 No.40

Patriarchy is a male dominated system, in which women suffer from an unequal share of power and resources. This system uses sexuality and labor control to maintain women subordination. Women from Eastern and Western civilizations have suffered from educational discrimination for the past thousand years. Women subordination is not limited to a cultural one. It also has material bases in the form of male control over female labor resources, the exclusion of women from the economic life, and a horizontal and vertical separation of gender in the economy. Feudal and modern China have constantly rejected peasants. Feudalism has rejected them from their land, while socialist China has given them the smallest share of national wealth. Today, subordination of women and peasants is maintained through their exclusion from education. History tells us that a minority of men, has been dominating a majority of men and all women. Such historical facts can be found in literature.
