        The purpose of this study was to investigate the physical properties of three dental amalgam alloy manufactured in Korea. Roughness was measured by surface roughness measuring instrument and hardness number was measured by Vickers hardness tester. Microstructure was observed by metallurgical microscope and phtomicrograph was observed by scanning electron microscope. The roughnesses of three dental amalgam alloys manufactured in Korea (A, B, C) were lower than the control group D amalgam and the roughness of B amalgam showed the lowest roughness value. The hardness numbers of three dental amalgam alloys manufactured in Korea were lower than the D amalgam and the mean number of hardness was also lower. It was appered that the particle shape of the a and D as-manufactured amalgam alloys are fine cut and spherical, B and C amalgam alloys are fine cut. It was appeared that the microstructure of A and D amalgams, B and C amalgams are respectively similar and A amalgam was coarser than D amalgam, B amalgam was coarser than C amalgam. Summing up the above results, polishing procedures after amalgam filling were colsely related to the surface roughness, hardness, and microstructure of amalgam filling body. Accordingly, the final high polishing of amalgam filling body is very significant in the clinical field by reveisiting the dental office.

        역삼투막 공정을 이용한 붕산수 중의 실리카 제거에 관한 연구

        Hydranautic사의 셀룰로오즈 아세테이트 재질로 된 RO S/W 4040을 이용하여 2성분계의 붕산수용액 및 붕산수에 함유된 실리카의 3성분계 수용액에 대하여 조업온도, 운전압력 및 공급유량 변화가 투과량, 붕산회수율, 실리카 배제율에 미치는 영향에 대한 실험을 수행하였다. 붕산수용액의 경우 35℃, 20atm 및 원액의 유속이 2.82l/min에서 붕산회수율 및 투과도는 각각 58.7% 및 2.82l/min, 35℃, 10atm에서는 68.1% 및 1.56l/min이었다. 또한 실리카 및 붕산이 함께 함유된 용액의 경우 35℃, 3.2atm에서 붕산회수율 69.7%, 실리카 배제율 97.5% 및 투과도 0.47l/min의 결과를 보여주었으며, 35℃, 20atm에서 원액의 유속이 2.92l/min의 경우 붕산회수율 56.4%, 실리카 배제율 96.1% 및 투과도 2.72l/min의 결과를 보여 주었다. This studies concern the separation of aqueous boric acid solution and same solution containing silica using cellulose acetate RO S/W 4040 module manufactured by Hydranautics Co. The operating conditions of the applied pressures, temperatures, and feed flow rate are also investigated to characterize the permeabilities, biroc acid recovery, and silica rejection, so that the optimum operating conditions would be found out. In the case where the operating conditions are the temperature 35℃, The pressure 20atm, and the feed flow rate 2.82 l/min, for the boric acid aqueous solution, the boric acid recovery 58.7% and the permeation rate 2.82 l/min were obtained. And also the results showed the boric acid recovery 68.1% and the permeation rate 1.56 l/min at the operating conditions, 35℃ and 10atm. For the boric acid solution containing silica, when the feed solution are at the conditions of 35℃ and 3.2atm, the boric acid recovery 69.7%, the silica rejection 97.5% and the permeation rate 0.47 l/min were obtained. And the operating conditions were at 35℃, 20atm and the feed flow rate 2.92 l/min, the results showed the boric acid recovery 56.4%, the silica rejection 96.1% and the permeation rate 2.72 l/min.
