실시간 온라인 Zoom 수업의 상호작용 개선을 위한 학습분석 기반 시각화 도구 설계 및 개발

Zoom has often been used in remote class, but it is difficult to directly observe interactions or level of participations, and learning patterns in real time. If the instructor can grasp the learner's class participation and interaction level in real-time, the quality of the class can be improved. In this study, a learning analytics-based visualization tool was designed and developed to improve the interactions, as a result of this study, developed a tool that can be objectified through real-time data analysis. This visualization tool notifies the instructor of the results of data analysis through real-time chatting. The tool shows the learner's camera and microphone on/off status, the learner's level of participation in the presentation, the learner's video and microphone running time, keywords mentioned in the presentation, the level of team activity, and the quiz score. And after class, students can check their level of participation and level of interaction through a comprehensive visualization tool. It is expected that this will improve the interaction problems that appear in real-time online Zoom class and increase the quality and satisfaction of class. Future research will provide and utilize the learning status of learners from a more long-term and integrated perspective. It plans to upgrade such as using AI technology and building online data services. Zoom은 원격수업에서 많이 활용되고 있으나 상호작용을 직접 관찰하거나 참여수준 혹은 학습 양상을 실시간으로 파악하기에는 어려움이 있다. 만약 교수자가 학습자의 수업 참여와 상호작용 수준을 실시간으로 파악할 수 있다면 수업의 질을 높일 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 실시간 온라인 Zoom 수업의 상호작용 개선을 위한 학습분석 기반 시각화 도구를 설계 및 개발하였다. 본 연구는 실시간 데이터 분석을 통한 학습자의 카메라 및 마이크 On/Off 상태, 학습자의 발표 참여 수준, 학습자의 카메라 및 마이크 작동시간, 발표에서 언급된 핵심 키워드, 팀 활동 수준, 퀴즈 점수를 객관화할 수 있는 도구를 개발하였다. 본 시각화 도구는 데이터 분석 결과를 실시간 채팅으로 교수자에게 알려주며, 수업 후에는 종합적인 시각화 도구를 통해 학생들의 수업 참여 정도와 상호작용 수준을 상호 확인할 수 있다. 본 연구 결과는 실시간 온라인 Zoom 수업에서 부족한 상호작용성을 개선하고, 수업 참여와 상호작용의 질을 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 향후 연구에서는 더욱 장기적이고 통합적인 관점에서 학습자의 학습 양상을 제공하고 활용할 수 있도록 AI 기술 활용 및 온라인 데이터 서비스 구축 등으로 업그레이드할 필요가 있다.

의학계에서 수행되는 임상 실험의 경우 변인들을 모두 통제하면서 통계적으로 유의미한 실험규모를 구성하기 어려운 경우가 존재한다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 다수의 기존 연구들을 체계적으로 통합하고, 결과를 통합하여 분석하고자 하는 시도들이 이뤄지고 있는데, 메타 분석(meta-analyses)의 경우 충분한 수의 연구가 뒷받침되어야 한다는 제약이 있다. 반면에 근거 매핑(Evidence mapping)은 비교적 적은 수의 연구들에 대해서도 수행이 가능하다는 점에서 장점을 갖고 있다. 그러나 이러한 방법론으로 접근한 기존 연구들에서는 비교적 단순한 시각화를 사용하여 연구의 동향이나 증거 수준을 파악하기 어렵다는 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 의료 학술 문헌에 대해서 수행되는 체계적 고찰과 근거 매핑을 효과적으로 수행하기 위한 대화형 시각화 도구를 제안한다. In medical research, conducting a controlled study with a significantly sufficient number of patients could be daunting. As a remedy to this problem, systematic reviews and meta-analyses has been adopted to synthesize and analyze results from multiple prior work. However, large numbers of prior work are required to apply such approaches. Evidence mapping, conversely, can be applied to a lesser number of previous studies. Still, visualizations from prior evidence mapping research, are incapable of supporting finding research trends, or evidence level of studies. In this paper, we propose an interactive visualization tool to support effective systematic reviews and evidence mapping on medical research papers.
