초등학교 사회과 수업에서 학습자 참여 수행평가 준거 설정 활동의 교육적 효과

본 연구는 학습자를 수행평가 준거 설정 활동에 참여시키는 것이 교사 주도로 수 행평가 준거를 설정하는 것보다 초등학교 사회과 수업에서 교육적 효과가 있는지를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 연구결과, 학습자들이 수행평가 준거 설정에 참여하고, 공 유된 수행평가 준거에 기초해 실제 수행평가를 실시하는 것이 학생들의 사회교과에 대한 학습동기를 고무시키고 학업성취도를 향상시켰다. 학생들은 수행평가 준거를 개인적으로 설정해 보고 이를 바탕으로 모둠별 토의와 수행평가의 준거에 대하여 공 유하는 참여과정을 통하여 자신들이 수행할 과제에 대하여 인지수준이 높아져서 보 다 명확하게 파악할 수 있고, 자신의 수행해야 할 과제에 대하여 책임감과 목표의식 및 주인의식을 가지게 되어 수행평가 과제에 대한 관심과 동기를 높이며 아울러 사 회과의 학업성취도를 향상시킨 것으로 파악된다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of student-participated rubrics for performance assessment on students motivation, academic achievement in elementary social studies classes. The subjects of this study were 53 students in two third-grade classes. The selected two classes were assigned to an experimental group and a control group. The students took pretest and posttest about learning motivation and academic achievement. In experimental group, the students generated the rubrics for performance assessment by themselves. After each students made the rubrics, they had discussions with their group members to generated their group s idea. the teacher had a discussion with the leader of each small group in order to generate a common criteria for the class. In control group, teacher generate the rubrics for assessment and it was not shared with the students. The results indicated that the experimental group showed significantly higher scores in learning motivation, and academic achievement than the control group. The educational implication were discussed.
