      • Sports injury treatment and sports rehabilitation employing the Nanoparticles containing zinc oxide

        The combination of physical activities and individual skills in sports creates an entertaining and competitive environment governed by a set of rules. In today's world, sports attract significant attention and are approached differently by various groups. Inevitably, injuries occur in sports, significantly impacting an athlete's performance and ability to participate in exercises and competitions. Addressing this issue, one of the crucial measures involves restoring the athlete's ability to engage in sports and compete. Sports rehabilitation serves as a treatment to mitigate the effects of injuries, and when combined with surgery, it can expedite the recovery process. Therefore, the primary objective of this study is to utilize a biocompatible technology for synthesizing zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles in sports rehabilitation, ensuring minimal harm to the environment.

        Non-salt roasting mechanism of V–Cr slag toward efficient selective extraction of vanadium

        Developing a clean method for the sustainable utilization of reducing slag containing vanadium and chromium(V–Cr slag) is necessary, with the non-salt roasting method exhibiting considerable potential. Inthis study, we conducted a detailed analysis of the mechanisms driving non-salt roasting of the V–Cr slagby investigating phase transformations, valence transition, and redistribution of vanadium and associatedtransition elements. Based on our findings, we performed efficient selective extraction experimentsand revealed that spinel (Fe,Mn)(V,Cr)2O4, the carrier of vanadium, is converted to acid-soluble products,including VO2, Mg2V2O7, and Mn2V2O7, and acid-insoluble products, such as (Fe,Cr)2O3, TiO2, MnO2, andFe2TiO5 at a roasting temperature of 700 C; At roasting temperatures > 850 C, MnO2 is converted to halfMn2V2O7 and half (Fe,Cr,Mn)2O3. Vanadium is separated from Fe, Cr, Ti, Si, and half Mn via selective leaching. Under optimized conditions, the leaching efficiency of V reached 94.55%, and those of Fe, Cr, Ti, Si,and Mn were 0.71%, 0.50%, 0.44%, 0.23%, and 50%, respectively. This study provides a technical and theoreticalbasis for cleaner and safer utilization of V–Cr slag.

      • A Feature Selection Algorithm towards Efficient Intrusion Detection

        Feature selection algorithm plays a crucial role in intrusion detection, data mining and pattern recognition. According to some evaluation criteria, it gets optimal feature subset by deleting unrelated and redundant features of the original data set. Aiming at solving the problems about the low accuracy, the high false positive rate and the long detection time of the existing feature selection algorithm. In this paper, we come up with a feature selection algorithm towards efficient intrusion detection, this algorithm combines the correlation algorithm and redundancy algorithm to chooses the optimal feature subset. Experimental results show that the algorithm shows almost and even better than the traditional feature selection algorithm on the different classifiers.

      • A Feature Selection Algorithm based on Hoeffding Inequality and Mutual Information

        With the rapid development of the Internet, the application of data mining in the Internet is becoming more and more extensive. However, the data source’s complex feature redundancy leads that data mining process becomes very inefficient and complex. So feature selection research is essential to make data mining more efficient and simple. In this paper, we propose a new way to measure the correlation degree of internal features of dataset which is a mutation of mutual information. Additionally we also introduce Hoeffding inequality as constraint of constructing algorithm. During the experiments, we use C4.5 classification algorithm as test algorithm and compare HSF with BIF(feature selection algorithm based on mutual information). Experiments results show that HSF performances better than BIF[1] in TP and FP rate, what’s more the feature subset obtained by HSF can significantly improve the TP, FP and memory usage of C4.5 classification algorithm.

        Analysis and experiments of a novel and compact 3-DOF precision positioning platform

        A novel 3-DOF precision positioning platform with dimensions of 48 mm×50 mm×35 mm was designed by integrating piezo actuators and flexure hinges. The platform has a compact structure but it can do high precision positioning in three axes. The dynamic model of the platform in a single direction was established. Stiffness of the flexure hinges and modal characteristics of the flexure hinge mechanism were analyzed by the finite element method. Output displacements of the platform along three axes were forecasted via stiffness analysis. Output performance of the platform in x and y axes with open-loop control as well as the z-axis with closed-loop control was tested and discussed. The preliminary application of the platform in the field of nanoindentation indicates that the designed platform works well during nanoindentation tests, and the closed-loop control ensures the linear displacement output. With suitable control, the platform has the potential to realize different positioning functions under various working conditions.
