This paper presents a novel prototype of the utility AC power interfaced soft-switching sinewave pulse modulated inverter using the high-frequency flyback transformer for the small seale distnbuted renewable energy power conditioner The pioposed sinewave power conditioner circuit with a high-frequency isolation link has a function of electrical isolation, which is more cost-effective and reliable for the small-scale distributed renewal energy utilization system from a safety point of view The discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) operation of the high-frequency flyback transformer is adopted to establish a simple and low-cost circuit configuration and control scheme For the simplicity, the circuit operating principle is described on the basis of the modified conventional full bridge inverter, which is the typical conventional high-frequency full-bridge inverter employing the high frequency flyback transformer to enable the effective function of the electrical isolation Then, the new circuit topology of the utility-interfaced soft-switching sinewave pulse modulated inverter using IGBTs is proposed The proposed circuit topology si additionally composed of the auxiliary power regenerating snubber circuits, which are also mathematically analyzed for the purpose of the parameter design settings Finally, the performance of the proposed inverter is evaluated on the basis of computcr-aid simulation It is noted that the sinewave pulse modulated output current of the inverter is synchronous to the AC main voltage
Agent based Simulation of Hot Strip Rolling Mills with Controllers

Currently, operators try to improve their operating situation under the changing production circumstances. Their operations are some kinds of empirical fruits of manufacturing experiences. It is an important problem in the future to maintain and to extend their technologies having been built up. For the purpose, methods and systems for technical inheritance of advanced techniques like the skilled engineers are needed which can train the unskilled operators and also assist skilled operators. In this research, simulation technology for hot strip rolling mills based on distributed agents is presented aimed to the diagnosis of hot strip rolling mills with controllers. In the operation of hot strip mills, human operators try to maintain rolling conditions in an appropriate situation. To help the operators, it is needed to build an intelligent rolling simulator which can check the whole rolling performances including control apparatus. To help human experts, it is necessary to simulate rolling phenomenon considering operating conditions in detail. It is also required to simulate results by changing control parameters. Visualization of three-dimensional rolling process, and simulation of defects in rolling mills that scarcely occur are studied. In the paper, development of agent based rolling simulator is presented.

The purpose of this paper is to improve power conversion efficiency of three-phase soft-switching voltage-source inverter with an auxiliary resonant de link (ARDCL) snubber circuit Firstly, the operating principle of ARDCL snubber circuit is described. Secondly, this paper proposes an effective generation method of zero voltage vector for three-phase voltage-source soft-switching inverter m which power losses in the ARDCL snubber circuit can be reduced. In particular, zero voltage holding interval in the inverter DC busline can be controlled due to the new generation scheme of zero voltage vector Thirdly, a simulator for power loss analysis, which includes switching and conduction loss characteristics based on actual system, is developed The validity of developed simulator is proved with experimental results Finally, power efficiency of three-phase inverter is estimated according to high carrier frequency by using the simulator
