      • Finger Vein Image Quality Evaluation based on Support Vector Regression

        Lizhen Zhou,Gongping Yang,Lu Yang,Yilong Yin,Ying Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.8

It has been found that poor quality images decrease the performance of finger vein recognition system, due to missing, vague or spurious features. Therefore, it is important for a finger vein recognition system to evaluate the quality of finger vein images. In this paper, a new method based on Support Vector Regression (SVR) is proposed for finger vein image quality evaluation. In our method, we first manually annotate quality scores for finger vein images in training set and extract five quality features of these images. Then quality scores and quality features are used to build a SVR model, which will be applied to evaluate quality for testing images. In addition, we explore the use of quality score and ascertain that quality score can be used as ancillary information to enhance recognition accuracy for finger vein. Experimental results show that our proposed method is effective for finger vein image quality evaluation.

      • Design and analysis of integrated-circuit package antenna (ICPA) for dual-band wireless transceivers

        Tong, Ming-Sze,Yang, Mingwu,Cao, Qunsheng,Kim, Hyeong-Seok,Lu, Yilong,Chen, Yinchao,Chang, Tae-Gyu Wiley Subscription Services, Inc., A Wiley Company 2006 International journal of RF and microwave computer Vol.16 No.3

<P>This article presents study of a dual-band integrated-circuit package antenna (ICPA), which operates concurrently on dual bands at 2.4 and 5.25 GHz. The antenna is designed and printed on the top surface of an IC package and fed by a single coaxial line, while the transceiver is implemented on the opposite side of the package, through the separation of a common ground plate. This “cavity-down” arrangement minimizes the electromagnetic interference between the antenna and transceiver, and satisfies the miniaturization of the design. The study consists of numerical computations, which are performed through an in-house computer solver based on the nonuniform finite-difference time-domain (NU-FDTD) method and experimental measurements. Together with the data computed using the high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS) software, the results show excellent agreement between the numerical and experimental data, and the proposed structure is deemed as a useful application in the area of highly integrated wireless transceivers. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Tunable Nanostructure of TiO2/Reduced Graphene Oxide Composite for High Photocatalysis

        He, Di,Li, Yongli,Wang, Jinshu,Yang, Yilong,An, Qier Korean Society of Microscopy 2016 Applied microscopy Vol.46 No.1

In this study $TiO_2$/reduced graphene oxide ($TiO_2/rGO$) bipyramid with tunable nanostructure was fabricated by two-step solvothermal process and subsequent heat-treatment in air. The as-synthesized anatase $TiO_2$ nanocrystals possessed morphological bipyramid with exposed dominantly by (101) facets. Polyethylenimine was utilized during the combination of $TiO_2$ and graphene oxide (GO) to tune the surface charge, hindering the restack of graphene during solvothermal process and resulting in 1 to 5 layers of rGO wrapped on $TiO_2$ surface. After a further calcination, a portion of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) with a diameter about 2 nm were produced owing to the oxidizing and cutting of rGO on $TiO_2$. The as-prepared $TiO_2/rGO$ hybrid showed a highly photocatalytic activity, which is about 3.2 and 7.7 times enhancement for photodegradation of methyl orange with compared to pure $TiO_2$ and P25, respectively. We assume that the improvement of photocatalysis is attributed to the chemical bonding between rGO/CQDs and $TiO_2$ that accelerates photogenerated electron-hole pair separation, as well as enhances light harvest.

Optimal type and ratio of foaming agent, foaming stabilizer and fluxing agent of foam glass fabricated with red mud and coal gangue

        Jina Wang, Kaidong Xu,Zhixin Li,Yilong Yang,Qingxiao Li,Yun Bao,Huan Yang,Lingling Ding,Ruixin Zhang,Yuanyuan Wang,Lan Yao 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2022 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.23 No.1

In order to effectively reuse red mud and coal gangue, foam glass was successfully prepared by sintering. The foaming of foamglass is ensured by adding foaming agent, foam stabilizer and fluxing agent to the raw materials including red mud, coalgangue and waste glass. Furthermore, the defects in the foam glass are also reduced. The obtained powder was dried at 105ºC and characterized by XRF, DSC-TG analysis, etc. According to cellular structure, apparent density and water absorption, the optimal type and ratio of foaming agent, foaming stabilizer and fluxing agent were revealed. The results indicate that theoptimized formula of foaming agent, foaming stabilizer and fluxing agent is 3% MnO2-2% Na3PO4-2% borax. The foam glassprepared under optimized conditions exhibits uniform porous distribution and suitable pore size with an apparent density of0.575 g/cm3 and water absorption of 4.61%. The research in this work could establish the technical foundation of red mudbasedporous material for industrial production.

AR model-based crosstalk cancellation method for operational transfer path analysis

        Wei Cheng,Yan Zhu,Xuefeng Chen,Chao Song,Le Zhang,Lin Gao,Yilong Liu,Zelin Nie,Hongrui Cao,Yang Yang 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.3

To reduce the crosstalk effects between the signals at reference points in operational transfer path analysis (OTPA) and improve the reliability of solutions, a novel OTPA method based on auto-regressive (AR) model is proposed in this paper. The key to this method is to obtain the power spectrum by AR model for estimating the prior transmissibility function matrix. Firstly, in view of the lack of noise reduction process in conventional crosstalk cancellation method, singular value decomposition (SVD) is applied to reduce the noise of original signals. Secondly, Burg algorithm is used to calculate AR model parameters. Thirdly, auto-power spectrum and cross-power spectrum are obtained by AR model and the periodogram method respectively. Fourthly, the transmissibility function matrix is obtained by Landweber iterative method based on corrected signals at reference points. Finally, the proposed method can significantly reduce the crosstalk effects, resulting in more accurate evaluation of transfer path contributions. Generally, this study can provide accurate and reliable evidences for vibration & noise monitoring and reduction for mechanical systems, and thus benefit for the active control of vibration & noise.

Polysomnography and Neuropsychological Analysis of Patients With Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Two Years After the COVID-19 Pandemic in Wuhan

        Junhua Mei,Yanjie Xu,Xue Gong,Jinmei Xu,Guohua Chen,Weiqi Chen,Yicong Wang,Zhaohong Kong,Yilong Wang,Qing Yang 대한신경정신의학회 2024 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.21 No.3

Objective We used polysomnography (PSG) monitoring and neuropsychological scales to explore the characteristics of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) patients diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Wuhan, two years after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods A total of 42 patients in the Sleep Medicine Center were diagnosed with insomnia between December 2021 and May 2022; they were divided into the PTSD group (patients with PTSD diagnosed with insomnia after COVID-19 infection) and the non-PTSD group (patients with insomnia without PTSD). A healthy control group was simultaneously included. Results The PTSD group was more significant than the non-PTSD group in partial manifestations of sleep disorders, neuropsychological clinical symptoms, and partial PSG data. Patients with different COVID-19 subtypes showed significant differences in the course of disease, sleep disorders, neuropsychological clinical symptoms, relevant scale scores, and PSG data analysis. Conclusion The emotional anxiety and depression of COVID-19 patients diagnosed with PTSD two years after the COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan are more significant, and will not be self-alleviated with the passage of time. It is necessary to continue to pay attention to the PTSD symptoms and sleep psychology of COVID-19 infected patients, and take appropriate measures. Patients with severe and critical COVID-19 have more severe sleep and mental disorders, and there is a significant correlation between the duration of the disease and the severity of mental and mental disorders and sleep disorders after recovery.
