Markov Chain Approach for CUSUM Chart under Multivariate Normal Process

CUSUM charts for monitoring mean vector with Markov chain approach are investigated. Properties of multivariate Shewhart chart and CUSUM chart are evaluated for matched FSI(fixed sampling interval) and VSI(variable sampling interval) scheme. Numerical performances of the charts show that multivariate CUSUM chart with VSI scheme can be recommended for small or moderate shift. And, we obtained stablized numerical results with Markov chain method when the number of transient state is greater than 100.
A Comparative Study on Multiple Response Optimization for Robust Design

In the Taguchi type robust design, the product array approach using orthogonal arrays is mainly used. However, it often requires an excessive number of experiments. We propose how to optimize multiple responses when we use the combined array approach to assign control and noise factors. An example is illustrated to show the difference between the product array approach and the combined array approach, and to show the performances of the proposed test statistics.
