      • An Accelerated Iterative Hard Thresholding Method for Matrix Completion

        The matrix completion problem is to reconstruct an unknown matrix with low-rank or approximately low-rank constraints from its partially known samples. Most methods to solve the rank minimization problem are relaxing it to the nuclear norm regularized least squares problem. Recently, there have been some simple and fast algorithms based on hard thresholding operator. In this paper, we propose an accelerated iterative hard thresholding method for matrix completion (AIHT). Then we report numerical results for solving noiseless and noisy matrix completion problems and image reconstruction. The numerical results suggest that significant improvement can be achieved by our algorithm compared to the other reported methods, especially in terms of CPU time.

        In Vitro and In Vivo Studies on the Complexes of Vinpocetine with $Hydroxypropyl-{\beta}-cyclodextrin$

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate complexes of vinpocetine (VIN), a poorly water-soluble base type drug, with $Hydroxypropyl-{\beta}-cyclodextrin$ ($HP-{\beta}-CD$) in aqueous environment and in solid state, with or without citric acid (CA) as an acidifier of the complexation medium. The apparent stability constant ($K_c$) calculated by phase solubility was 282 $M^{-1}$ and the complexation in solution was structurally characterized by $^1H-NMR$ which showed VIN was likely to fit into the cyclodextrin cavity with its phenyl ring and ethyl ester bond. Solid complexes of VIN and $HP-{\beta}-CD$ were prepared by kneading (KE), co-evaporating (CE) and freeze-drying (FD) methods. Physical mixtures were prepared for comparison. The study in the solid state included the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and infrared absorption spectroscopy (IR). From these analyses, CE and FD products were found in amorphous state, allowing to the conclusion of strong evidences of inclusion complex formation However, the dissolution test showed that only $VIN/HP-{\beta}-CD+CA$ complexes by CE and FD method could provide satisfying dissolution behavior (rapid, complete and lasting) when compared to that of $VIN/HP-{\beta}-CD$ complexes. Interestingly, the addition of CA in inclusion complexes could significantly decrease the amount of $HP-{\beta}-CD$ needed to solubilize the same amount of VIN and thereby reducing the formulation bulk. Furthermore, in-vivo study revealed that the bioavailability of VIN after oral administration to rabbits (n=6) was significantly improved by $VIN/HP-{\beta}-CD+CA$ inclusion complex.

      • High-Frequency Isolated Medium-Voltage AC Grid-connected PV Power Generation System Structure based on DC Bus Collection

        This paper proposes an isolated mediumvoltage AC grid-connected PV power generation system structure based on DC bus collection with high-frequency link concept. The proposed system structure consists of centralized photovoltaic power plant, inverter unit based on isolated bridge converter (I-BC), and capacitor at the junction of dc bus. PV plant is divided into many arrays, each PV array is connected in parallel with each phase inverter unit. Inverter unit is composed of two I-BC. Compare with conventional two-stage PV inverter, I-BC can totally eliminate the individual DC-link capacitors at the highvoltage side, which leads to extremely reduced system volume and voltage-balancing control between individual capacitors. Second harmonic power oscillations seen in typical system structure can also be eliminated or reduced through use of the proposed system. This paper presents the analysis and operation of the proposed PV system structure with experimental results on a scaled-down laboratory.

        Anomaly Detection with GRU Based Bi-autoencoder for Industrial Multimode Process

        The anomaly detection for multimode industrial process is a challenging problem, because the multiple operation modes present various main distributions of monitored variables, and the dynamic sequential characteristics exist within each operation mode. This paper proposes an anomaly detection method based on sequenceto-sequence gated recurrent units (SGRU). First, to better model both the cross-mode trends and mode-specific sequential characteristics, a main reconstruction module and residual reconstruction module are integrated to improve the ability to represent complex process. Both modules are implemented by SGRUs. Second, a reconstruction error prediction module is designed to estimate the mean values of mode-specific reconstruction errors, which helps to determine the more reliable alarm thresholds. Third, the two anomaly indicators are utilized to represent the deviation degree of monitored variables against the normal conditions, according to the statistical errors and biases of reconstructions, respectively. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated on simulations with multimode process, and on the practical data set collected from the Cleaning-in-Place multimode process of an aseptic beverage filling line in a real factory.
