Robust Decentralized Fault Estimation for Loss of Actuator Effectiveness of Multi-motor Web-winding System

        Xiaoyan Chu,Xiaohong Nian,Miaoping Sun,Haibo Wang,Hongyun Xiong 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.17 No.3

This paper develops a method estimating the actuator power loss faults for the multi-motor web-windingsystem. Firstly, the web-winding system is regarded as a synthetic system with several dynamic subsystems andtheir dynamic models are given. Then, the nonlinear coordinate transformation is introduced to obtain a transformedsystem with block triangular structure and the interconnections among subsystems are allowed. Next, a decentralizedadaptive high-gain observer with sliding-mode is designed for the obtained transformed system to estimate thesystem actuator power loss faults. Meanwhile, the estimation error dynamics can be obtained. Sufficient conditionsof asymptotic stability for estimation error system are derived by Lyapunov theory, and the sliding-mode gain andfault estimation law are achieved. After that, the fault estimation observer for original multi-motor web-windingsystem is designed by inverse coordinate transformation. Finally, the simulations and analysis are implemented onthe three-motor web-winding system to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Motor Model-based Optimal Robust Guaranteed Cost Control for Two-motor Web-winding System

        Hongyun Xiong,Yipeng Lv,Bin Cheng,Xiaohong Nian,Xiaoyan Chu 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.11

In this paper, a novel comprehensive model for the two-motor web-winding system is proposed, which combines the classical web-winding system model with the driven-motor model. Based on the proposed model, the state feedback robust control (SFRC) strategy is designed to handle systematic uncertainty and time-varying parameters. And then in order to reduce the control cost of the web-winding system, an optimal robust guaranteed cost control (ORGCC) approach is studied. First, the reference control inputs and error dynamic model are derived based on the proposed comprehensive model. Then, the SFRC strategy and ORGCC approach are designed to calculate control compensation. By regarding some suitable parameters as interval variables, the proposed controllers have good robustness for parameter variations and environmental disturbance. Finally, the simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed model and control.

Effects of sludge pyrolysis temperature and atmosphere on characteristics of biochar and gaseous products

        Shuai Guo,Xiaoyan Xiong,Deyong Che,Hongpeng Liu,Baizhong Sun 한국화학공학회 2021 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.38 No.1

In view of the importance of inert-atmosphere sludge pyrolysis for effective waste recycling and carbon emission reduction, this study probed the effects of temperature (300-700 oC) and atmosphere (100% N2, 10 CO2/90% N2, or 100% CO2) on the properties of biochar and gases obtained by sludge pyrolysis in a horizontal tube furnace. The emissions of NO, SO2, H2S, and CO increased with increasing temperature, as the inhibitory effect of CO2 on the formation of these gases (observed at <500 oC) concomitantly weakened and was superseded by the reaction of CO2 with carbon at higher temperature to afford gaseous products. The specific surface area (SBET) and pore volume of the biochar produced in the presence of CO2 increased with increasing temperature up to 500 oC, while at higher temperatures the inhibitory effect of CO2 on pore structure development resulted in a decreased SBET and an increased macropore content. These results show that pyrolysis is an effective treatment method for sludge; it can remove 48% N and 50% S in sludge and mitigate the emission of polluting gases. When CO2 participates in the pyrolysis reaction, the SBET of biochar increases significantly. In general, sludge biochar has the potential to be applied as fuel and as an adsorbent.

Characterization of Carbapenemase Genes in Enterobacteriaceae Species Exhibiting Decreased Susceptibility to Carbapenems in a University Hospital in Chongqing, China

        Yun Xia,Zhenzhen Liang,Xiaoyan Su,Ying Xiong 대한진단검사의학회 2012 Annals of Laboratory Medicine Vol.32 No.4

Background: Our study was to investigate the prevalence of carbapenemase genes in strains of Enterobacteriaceae species exhibiting decreased susceptibility to carbapenems in our hospital. Methods: The carbapenemase producing Enterobacteriaceae species were confirmed by modified Hodge test (MHT) and EDTA-disc synergy test which indicating the production of class B carbapenemases. PCR and sequencing analysis were used to identify the drugresistant genes. DNA fingerprinting based on enterobacterial repetitive intergenic consensus (ERIC)-PCR was applied to investigate the homology of Enterobacteriaceae species. Results: From a collection of 1,472 Enterobacteriaceae species, 18 isolates with decreased susceptibility to carbapenem treatment were identified and 9 of which were positive by MHT, and 6 of which produced class B carbapenemases. PCR and sequencing analysis of the 18 isolates revealed 4 different carbapenemase genes (blaIMP-8, blaoxa-1, blaIMP-26, and blaoxa-47) in 10 isolates, with the blaIMP-8 and blaoxa-1 genes being the most common (60-70% prevalence). ERIC-PCR showed 5, 2, and 2 unique genotypes for Enterobacter cloacae, Escherichia coli, and Klebsiella pneumoniae, respectively. Three E. coli strains isolated from different patients from the urologic surgery department exhibited the same DNA banding pattern, suggesting a possible clonal dissemination. Majority (17/18) of the carbapenem- unsusceptible Enterobacteriaceae species isolates was obtained from the surgery department of our hospital. Conclusions: The main carbapenemase genes of Enterobacteriaceae species in our hospital were blaIMP-8 and blaoxa-1. Prevalence of carbapenem resistance may be existed in surgery department and infection control should be taken for preventing further dissemination of drug-resistant strains. IL-10 Polymorphisms and Tuberculosis Susceptibility: An Updated Meta-Analysis

        Zunqiong Ke,Hui Xiong,Leyong Yuan,Jun Ma,Xiaoyan Zhang,Yi Guo 연세대학교의과대학 2015 Yonsei medical journal Vol.56 No.5

Purpose: The association of interleukin-10 (IL-10) polymorphisms (-1082G/A, -819C/T, -592A/C) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) polymorphisms(-174G/C) with tuberculosis (TB) risk has been widely reported. However, the results are controversial. To clarify the role of these polymorphisms in TB, we performed a meta-analysis of all available and relevant published studies. Materials and Methods: Based on comprehensive searches of the PubMed, Medline, Embase, Web of Science, Elsevier Science Direct and Cochrane Library database, we identified outcome data from all articles estimating the association between IL-10 and IL-6 polymorphisms and TB risk. Results: The results indicated significant association of the allele model, heterozygous model and dominant model of IL-6 -174G/C polymorphism with decreased risk of TB. In the stratified analysis by ethnicity, significantly increased risk was observed for IL-10 -1082G/A polymorphism in Europeans under recessive model, for IL-10 -819C/T polymorphism in Asians under heterozygous model and dominant model and IL-10 -592A/C polymorphism in Asians under Allele model, homozygous model and recessive model. Moreover, significantly decreased risk of TB was associated with Asians for IL-6 -174C/G polymorphism in allele model, heterozygous model and dominant model. We also performed the analyses by sample types in IL-10 -1082G/A polymorphism, and observed significantly increased TB risk in mixed group under homozygous model. Conclusion: The results suggested that the IL-10 -1082G/A polymorphism is associated with increased TB risk in Europeans, while IL-10 -819C/T and IL-10 -592A/C polymorphisms in Asians. However, IL-6 -174G/C polymorphism might be a genetic risk factor that decreases TB susceptibility in Asians.
