      • Experimental Study on Synchronous Shifting for AMT without Synchronizer Based on Three-phase Induction Motor

        In order to reduce shifting jerks, synchronous shift is needed on transmission with gear ratios. How to achieve synchronous shift has been the difficulty of AMT (Automated Mechanical Transmission) without synchronizer, which is the main emphasis of shift schedule. In this paper, the experimental study on synchronous up-shifting and down-shifting is given by test-bed which consisted of three-phase induction motor and heavy-duty AMT without synchronizer. Based on shift model, the synchronous speed difference is put forward for the synchronous shift strategy. The synchronizing control strategy of up-shifting is proposed on the basis of the braking characteristics of TB (transmission brake). The synchronizing control strategy of down-shifting is given according to the characteristics of the three-phase induction motor. Under the conditions of various synchronous speed differences, the up-shifting experiments and down-shifting experiments are achieved. By comparisons, the best value of synchronous speed difference is discussed in terms of gear-position and working conditions. The results of shifting experiments show that the synchronous shifting strategies for AMT without synchronizer based on three-phase induction can decrease shifting jerks and improve shift qualities.

        Structural and dielectric properties in the (Ba1−xCax)(Ti0.95Zr0.05)O3 ceramics

        Lead-free (Ba1-xCax)(Ti0.95Zr0.05)O3 (x = 0.05e0.40) (BCZT) ceramics were prepared by solid-state reaction technique. XRD results show that the samples in the composition range of 0.05 ≤ x ≤ 0.25 exhibit pure perovskite structures and undergo a polymorphic phase transitions from orthorhombic to tetragonal phase around room temperature. The biphasic structures are detected at x ≥ 0.30 and the dielectric peaks become broad and dielectric constants decrease with increasing Ca content. Ca replacement at Ba site leads to diffuseness, whereas Ca occupancy at Ti site leads to decrease of the Tc.

        Improved PCA method for sensor fault detection and isolation in a nuclear power plant

        An improved principal component analysis (PCA) method is applied for sensor fault detection andisolation (FDI) in a nuclear power plant (NPP) in this paper. Data pre-processing and false alarm reducingmethods are combined with general PCA method to improve the model performance in practice. In datapre-processing, singular points and random fluctuations in the original data are eliminated with varioustechniques respectively. In fault detecting, a statistics-based method is proposed to reduce the falsealarms of T2 and Q statistics. Finally, the effects of the proposed data pre-processing and false alarmreducing techniques are evaluated with sensor measurements from a real NPP. They are proved to begreatly beneficial to the improvement on the reliability and stability of PCA model. Meanwhile varioussensor faults are imposed to normal measurements to test the FDI ability of the PCA model. Simulationresults show that the proposed PCA model presents favorable performance on the FDI of sensors nomatter with major or small failures.

        Novel arylhydrazone derivatives bearing a rhodanine moiety: synthesis and evaluation of their antibacterial activities

        A series of arylhydrazone derivatives bearing arhodanine moiety have been synthesized, characterized, andevaluated as antibacterial agents. Some of these compoundsshowed potent antibacterial activities against several differentstrains of Gram-positive bacteria, including multidrug-resistant clinical isolates. Of the compounds tested, IIkand IIIk were identified as the most effective, with minimuminhibitory concentration values of 2–4 lg/mL against multidrug-resistant Gram-positive organisms, including methicillin-resistant and quinolone-resistant Staphylococcusaureus. None of the compounds exhibited any activityagainst the Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli 1356 at64 lg/mL.
