Demonstrations to deploy high temperature superconducting (HTS) cable to the real gird are actively carried out throughout the world. Power utilities have an interest in the inherent advantage of the HTS cable system, and achieve the expected results from the series of verification test. To embody the reliability in the phenomenon occurred commonly in three-phase system, we simulate the load unbalance. A 22.9 ㎸ large scale HTS cable system with the specification of 100 m-long, 50 ㎹A capacity has been tested with up to 30% unbalance rate. To evaluate the effect of AC loss increase due to the unbalanced load, the cooling loads are measured by the calorimetry method. In this paper, the correlation between AC loss and load unbalance is described and investigated precisely.

A system for the 3-phase 100-m HTS power cable with 22.9㎸/1.25㎄ has been tested at the KEPCO뭩 Gochang power testing center since 2006. The cooling system consists of a liquid nitrogen decompression cooing system with a cooling capacity of 3㎾ at 66K and a closed circulation system of subcooled liquid nitrogen. Heat loads of the KEPCO HTS power cable system for several electrical loads were measured for investigating long-term operating performance such as cooling capacity, heat load, AC loss, temperature stability of the system.

The Busbar is generally fabricated by molding a number of copper plates, that is used for electric system such as low voltage inverter and converter. It is conducted a study on replacing as other low-cost materials because of upsurge in raw materials for industry. In previous studies, numerical approaches were investigated to predict the effect of the temperature distribution of replacing to this busbar from copper to aluminum. In this study, thermal-fluid-electromagnetic coupled numerical analyses are performed to take into account the Joule heat effect on the numerical evaluation of the busbar material characteristics. Comparisons with experimental results show that the proposed coupled analysis provides more reliable results than the conventional analyses in predicting the temperature characteristics.

Open source has many advantages and is widely used in various fields. However, legal disputes regarding copyright and licensing of datasets and learning models have recently arisen in artificial intelligence developments. We examine how datasets affect artificial intelligence learning and services from the perspective of copyrighting and licensing when datasets are used for training models. The licensing conditions of datasets can lead to copyright infringement and license violation, thus determining the scope of disclosure and commercialization of the trained model. In addition, we examine related legal issues.

The increased adoption of open source security management in supply chains is gaining worldwide attention. In particular, as security and threatening situations, such as solar winds, Kaseya ransomware, and Log4j vulnerability, are becoming more common in supply chains using software (SW)-defined networks, SW bills of materials (SBOMs) for SW products should be prepared to protect major countries like the United States. An SBOM provides SW component information and is expected to become required for SW supply chain management. We focus on SW supply chain management policies and SBOM trends in major countries and private organizations worldwide for safe SW use and determine the current status of Korea and ETRI's open source SW supply chain management trends.
