        Down-regulation of microRNA-155 suppressed Candida albicans induced acute lung injury by activating SOCS1 and inhibiting inflammation response

        Acute lung injury caused by Candida albicans could result in high mortality and morbidity. MicroRNA-155 (miR-155) and suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1) have been believed to play a key in the regulation of inflammatory response. Whether miR-155/SOCS1 axis could regulate the acute lung injury caused by C. albicans has not been reported. The acute lung injury animal model was established with acute infection of C. albicans. miR-155 inhibitor, miR-155 mimic, and sh-SOCS1 were constructed. The binding site between miR- 155 and SOCS1 was identified with dual luciferase reporter assay. Knockdown of miR-155 markedly inhibited the germ tube formation of C. albicans. Knockdown of miR-155 significantly up-regulated the expression of SOCS1, and the binding site between miR-155 and SOCS1 was identified. Knockdown of miR-155 improved the acute lung injury, suppressed inflammatory factors and fungus loading through SOCS1. Knockdown of SOCS1 greatly reversed the influence of miR- 155 inhibitor on the cell apoptosis in vitro. The improvement of acute lung injury caused by C. albicans, suppression of inflammatory response and C. albicans infection, and inhibitor of cell apoptosis were achieved by knocking down miR-155 through SOCS1. This research might provide a new thought for the prevention and treatment of acute lung injury caused by C. albicans through targeting miR-155/SOCS1 axis.

        중국인 개별여행객들의 라이프 스타일에 따른 뷰티의료관광선택속성에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 잠재관광객인 중국인 개별여행객을 대상으로 라이프 스타일을 유형화시키고 그에 따라 어떠한 한국 뷰티의료관광 선택속성을 중요하게 고려하는지 분석함으로서 향후 시장을 세분화하고 그에 따른 여행상품을 개발하는데 자료로 이용될 수 있도록 기여하고자 한다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 구통계학적 특성에 따른 뷰티의료관광 선택속성 중요도의 차이는 의료 인프라 및 뷰티의료관광의 품질, 관광 인프라 및 온라인홍보 요인, 환경과 분위기 요인은 성별에 따른 유의한 차이가 있고, 의료 인프라 및 뷰티의료관광의 품질요인과 관광 인프라 및 온라인홍보요 인은 연령에 따른 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 지원 서비스 요인은 교육수준에 따른 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 의료인프라 및 뷰티의료관광의 품질 요인은 직업에 따른 유의한 차이 가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 환경과 분위기 요인은 월 소득에 따른 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 라이프 스타일 유형에 따른 뷰티의료관광 선택속성 중요도 차이는 의료 인프라 및 뷰티 의료관광의 품질 요인, 관광 인프라 및 온라인홍보 요인, 지원 서비스 요인, 환경과 분위기 요인은 라이프 스타일 유형에 따른 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 검증결과를 토대로 볼 때 ‘품질 및 서비스’, ‘시설 및 분위기’ 그리고 ‘오라인 홍보’를 중요하게 생각하고 있다. 뷰티의료관광의 핵심서비스인 신뢰할 수 있는 의료기술과 의료진의 믿음에 더 많은 비중을 두고 있으며, 높은 의료수준, 최신 의료시설, 전문적이고 차별화된 한국의 뷰티의료관광 서비스 질이 중요한 요소라는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 현재 뷰티의료관광 상품의 기술, 시설, 인력 및 홍보를 업그레이드하면 오히려 고가의 상품판매를 통해 수익성이 제고될 것으로 예상된다. 의료 인프라를 가지고 의료서비스를 중심으로 한 중국인의 뷰티의료관광을 증대시키기 위한 마케팅 전략을 실행해야 할 것이다. This study was typed lifestyle Targeting Chinese FIT and how their life styles might cause importance of selection attributes of beauty medical tourism. To accomplish the research purpose, literature analysis was done focusing on lifestyles and selection attributes of beauty medical tourism, research hypotheses were set based on them and proven investigation for verification was done. First, the importance of selection attributes of beauty medical tourism according to the demographic characteristics has found that the factors of health and beauty medical tourism infrastructure quality, tourism infrastructure and online promotion, Environment and atmosphere are the meaningful difference according to gender, health and beauty medical tourism infrastructure quality, tourism infrastructure and online promotion are the meaningful difference according to age. It has found that the factors of support services is the meaningful difference according to the education level, health and beauty medical tourism infrastructure quality, tourism infrastructure and online promotion are the meaningful difference according to jobs and environment and atmosphere is meaningful difference according to monthly income. Second, the importance of selection attributes of beauty medical tourism according to lifestyle types was analyzed that the factors of health and beauty medical tourism infrastructure quality, tourism infrastructure and online promotion, environment and atmosphere, support services are difference according to the lifestyle types.

        Efficient (3R)-Acetoin Production from meso-2,3-Butanediol Using a New Whole-Cell Biocatalyst with Co-Expression of meso-2,3-Butanediol Dehydrogenase, NADH Oxidase, and Vitreoscilla Hemoglobin

        Acetoin (AC) is a volatile platform compound with various potential industrial applications. AC contains two stereoisomeric forms: (3S)-AC and (3R)-AC. Optically pure AC is an important potential intermediate and widely used as a precursor to synthesize novel optically active materials. In this study, chiral (3R)-AC production from meso-2,3-butanediol (meso-2,3-BD) was obtained using recombinant Escherichia coli cells co-expressing meso-2,3-butanediol dehydrogenase (meso-2,3-BDH), NADH oxidase (NOX), and hemoglobin protein (VHB) from Serratia sp. T241, Lactobacillus brevis, and Vitreoscilla, respectively. The new biocatalyst of E. coli/pET-mbdh-nox-vgb was developed and the bioconversion conditions were optimized. Under the optimal conditions, 86.74 g/l of (3R)-AC with the productivity of 3.61 g/l/h and the stereoisomeric purity of 97.89% was achieved from 93.73 g/l meso-2,3-BD using the whole-cell biocatalyst. The yield and productivity were new records for (3R)-AC production. The results exhibit the industrial potential for (3R)-AC production via whole-cell biocatalysis.

        Bipolar modulation of brushless DC motor with integrated control of motoring and regenerative braking

        A simple, effective method to realize the integrated control of motoring and regenerative braking of brushless DC motor is proposed in this paper. This method can automatically switch between the two states of motoring and regenerative braking according to the change of load without a braking command and current discontinuity, and can realize steady speed control. For the convenience of analysis, first, the model of the brushless DC motor and the methods of the existing motoring and regenerative braking are briefly explained. Then, the working principle of the proposed method under the two states of motoring and regenerative braking is analyzed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experiments.
