        Mechanical Properties of High Mg-Content Al-Mg-Sc-Zr Alloy Fabricated by Selective Laser Melting

        The efects of process parameters and aging treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of selective lasermelting (SLM) fabricated high Mg-content Al-Mg-Sc-Zr aluminum alloy were systematically studied. Our experiment resultsshow that the samples exhibit good processability with porosity less than 1%. The increase of Mg content in Al-Mg-Sc-Zris benefcial to reduce the texture of the alloy. The laser scanning speed has a large infuence on the Vickers hardness ofas-fabricated samples. The maximum microhardness of as-fabricated sample reaches 148±2 HV with a compression yieldstrength of 342±7 MPa. After aging treatment, the distinction in microhardness of the samples obtained under diferent laserscanning speed is obviously reduced, and the mechanical properties of the samples are further improved with a maximummicrohardness of 175±5 HV and a maximum compressive yield strength of 476±10 MPa, which are superior to the knownAl-Mg-Sc-Zr alloy with same Sc and Zr content fabricated by SLM. In this study, a novel high Mg-content Al-Mg-Sc-Zraluminum alloy specifcally for SLM with good processability and mechanical properties was reported.

        DIESEL HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE HARDWARE SYSTEM

        A controller for a diesel hybrid electric vehicle based on a V-cycle development approach is investigated in this paper. The hardware and infra program of the Hybrid Control Unit (HCU) are discussed in detail. The hardware system is designed based on circuit simulation; while the infra system is written with assemble language. Time sharing mode, buffer sharing mode and multi-task schedule method are used to ensure real-time communication in the infra program design. Based on multi-thread technology, hardware in loop test system is also designed. The hardware in loop and bench tests show that the controller could meet the requirements of the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and communicate in real-time. Circuit simulation, HCU, infra program and hardware in loop test form the effective V-cycle development platform to design a hardware system for a diesel HEV controller.         Synthesis of Polyamides Containing N-Methylpyrrole and N-Methylimidazole and Their Anticancer Activity

        Three hairpin polyamides were designed and synthesized by a haloform reaction and DCC/HOBt coupling reaction without amino protection and deprotection. Their anticancer activity were investigated with three kinds of cell lines-hepatic carcinoma, lung carcinoma and gastric carcinoma, and the values of $IC_{50}$ were at range of $10^{-7}~10^{-8}M$.

        Reduced Graphene Oxide-Based Assay for Real-Time Monitoring of Cancer Cell Viability

        Viability of cancer cell is an important indicator of physiological state and function of cells, which can be effected by the change of pH in the medium solution, due to the increase of carbon oxide and lactic acid caused by respiration. Although many methods have been developed to detect the viability of cells, mostly based on cytochemical staining and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology are time consuming. In this paper, an electronic device was made by thermal reduced graphene oxide (RGO) for detection of cancer cell viability in real-time. This electronic device could be used to monitor the metabolic activity and viability of cancer cells based on the change in pH value. As the pH decreases, colon cancer cells loose viability and the current decreases. This RGO device is simple, sensitive and label-free and could serve as a platform for detection of cells and drug testing.

        A New Joint Packet Scheduling/Admission Control Framework for Multi-Service Wireless Networks

        Quality of service (QoS) provision is an important and indispensable function for multi-service wireless networks. In this paper, we present a new scheduling/admission control frame­work, including an efficient rate-guaranteed opportunistic scheduling (ROS) scheme and a coordinated admission control (ROS­CAC) policy to support statistic QoS guarantee in multi-service wireless networks. Based on our proposed mathematical model, we derive the probability distribution function (PDF) of queue length under ROS and deduce the packet loss rate (PLR) for individual flows. The new admission control policy makes admission decision for a new incoming flow to ensure that the PLR requirements of all flows (including the new flow) are satisfied. The numerical results based on ns-2 simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the new joint packet scheduling/admission control framework.
