An Integrated Business Service Management Model with Security Approaches

In this paper a structure of business service management integrated with security management is offered. Our integrated Busines Service Management (BSM) model with security approach is the hierarchy of data management in any growing business. It creates a logical flow of data from its inception into the organization through the management levels. Thus, allowing for proactive business decisions to be made on a consistent basis. The end result is an increase in both corporate flexibility and profitability. It encompasses the process and use of Customer Data Management, Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Insurance all supported by a robust Service Desk.
Encryption Scheme for Control Systems through Web

The trend in most systems is that they are connected through the Internet. Traditional Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA) is connected only in a limited private network Since the internet Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA) facility has brought a lot of advantages in terms of control, data viewing and generation. Along with these advantages, are security issues regarding web SCADA, operators are pushed to connect Control Systems through the internet. Because of this, many issues regarding security surfaced. In this paper, we discuss web SCADA and the issues regarding security. As a countermeasure, a web SCADA security solution using crossed-crypto-scheme is proposed to be used in the communication of SCADA components.

Calcium carbonate was deposed on bacterial cellulose (BC) never-dried membranes in the presence of different concentrations of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and cetyl trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) by a precipitation reaction between aqueous solutions of calcium chloride (CaCl2) and sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) containing,or not, surfactant in their composition. Different shapes of crystals were obtained from rhombohedral ones to flowerlike,depending on surfactant type and concentration. From the two surfactants tested, SDS has a greater influence on calcium carbonate morphology than CTAB. The only polymorph obtained in all studied cases was calcite. The composite films BC-calcite were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and color measurements. The obtained BC-calcium carbonate composites could be used in paper manufacturing.

<▼1><B>Abstract</B><P/></▼1><▼2><P>Cast-iron (CI) based bulk amorphous alloy with compositions of Fe75.5−<I>x</I>C6.0Si3.3B5.5P8.7Cu1.0Al<I>x</I> (<I>x</I> = 0, 1 at.%) was synthesized by Cu mold casting. As indicated by increased critical diameters (<I>d</I>max) for the amorphization, the substitution of Al enhanced the glass-forming ability of the alloy. However, the onset temperature of crystallization (<I>T</I><I>x</I>) and the range of supercooled liquid region (Δ<I>T</I><I>x</I>) of the alloy decreased upon Al addition from 500 °C and 28 °C to 475 °C and 25 °C, respectively. It was revealed that the decreased thermal stability of the amorphous phase is related to the enhanced crystallization tendency to form primary α-Fe phase. Upon the nanocrystallization of primary α-Fe phase the Al-added alloy shows enlarged <I>M</I>s of 176 emu g<SUP>−1</SUP>, still keeping a reasonable small <I>H</I>c value of 0.086 Oe. The present study revealed that the minor Al addition enhances not only the glass-forming ability, but also the nanocrystallization behavior of the CI based bulk amorphous alloy.</P></▼2>
Collision avoidance and path following for multi-agent dynamical systems

This paper deals with collision avoidance problems while following an optimal trajectory for a group of agents operating in open space. The basic idea is to use the Model Predictive Control (MPC) technique to solve a realtime optimization problem with non-convex constraints over a finite time horizon. Both centralized and decentralized MPC formulations are presented. In a second stage it is shown that velocity constraints can be added to the collision avoidance restrictions in the optimization problem. Following a specified trajectory, the agents move in the same direction and end up eventually in a particular formation. A primer ingredient in the control design is the generation of a flat trajectory, planned in the physical open space. This allows the agents to maneuver successfully in a dynamic environment and to reach a common objective.
Fabrication of Fe-based bulk metallic glass by selective laser melting: A parameter study

Soft magnetic Fe-based bulk metallic glass cylindrical specimens with a diameter of 2mm and height of 6mm have been successfully fabricated by selective laser melting (SLM) and the effect of scan speed v and laser power P on the microstructure, thermal stability and soft magnetic properties has been investigated. The results indicate that low v and high P lead to the formation of SLM samples with high relative densities, which can reach values of about 99.7%. This can be ascribed to the optimal energy transfer during processing at low v and high P. Structural and calorimetric studies prove that the SLM samples are fully amorphous. In addition, magnetic measurements reveal that the amorphous structure of the SLM material is identical to the parent atomized powders. Although additional work is required to remove the residual porosity and to avoid the formation of cracks during processing, the present results confirm that additive manufacturing by SLM represents an alternative processing route for the preparation of bulk metallic glass components with designed geometry having excellent magnetic softness.

<P>The effect of carbon addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Fe-Zr and Fe-Zr-Nb ultrafine eutectic-dendrite composites has been investigated. Addition of carbon leads to the formation of iron solid solution strengthened by carbon interstitials and carbide particles encapsulated by α-Fe dendrites preferentially nucleated on the carbides. Consequently, the ultrafine eutectic Fe-5Zr-5Nb-0.3C (mass%) alloy exhibits high compressive strength (∼1.2 GPa) and large plastic strain (∼24%). The present study suggests another effective way to enhance the mechanical properties of Fe-based nano-eutectic alloys.</P>
