      • Sentiment Analysis Approaches on Different Data set Domain : Survey

Shailendra Kumar Singh,Sanchita Paul,Dhananjay Kumar 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.7 No.5

The growth of social website and electronic media contributes vast amount of user generated content such as customer reviews, comments and opinions. Sentiment Analysis term is referred to the extraction of others (speaker or writer) opinion in given source material (text) by using NLP, Linguistic Computation and Text mining. Sentiment classification of product and service reviews and comments has emerged as the most useful application in the area of sentiment analysis. This paper focuses on the comparative study (1997 – 2012) of different sentiment classification techniques performed on different data set domain such as web discourse, reviews and news articles etc. The most popular approaches are Bag of words and feature extraction used by researchers to deal with sentiment analysis of opinion related to movies, electronics, cars, music etc. The sentiment analysis is used by manufacturers, politicians, news groups, and some organization to know the opinions of customer, people, and social website users.

Osmotically regulated asymmetric capsular system for sustained delivery of indomethacin

Dinesh Kumar Jain,Gajanan Darwhekar,Shailendra Singh Solanki,Ravi Sharma 한국약제학회 2013 Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation Vol.43 No.1

The aim of the current study was to develop a sustained release asymmetric membrane capsular system for oral delivery of indomethacin. The capsule membrane was prepared using fabricated glass mold pins by phase inversion technique. Cellulose acetate was used as the semi permeable membrane. The capsule contains pore-forming water-soluble additives, which after coming in contact with aqueous medium, dissolves, resulting in an in situ formation of a micro porous structure. The effect of different formulation variables, like, ratio of drug to osmogen, solubilizing agent and level of pore former, stirring rate on the in vitro release was studied. Scanning electron microscopy of the membrane confirmed its porous, dense asymmetric nature. It was found that drug release rate increased with the increase in amount of osmogen and solubilizer, and independent of stirring rate. Indomethacin release was, directly proportional to the level of pore former, in the membrane. In the present investigation, efforts have been made to increase the release of poorly water soluble drug by means of porosity osmotic pump.

      • Pro-(IL-18) and Anti-(IL-10) Inflammatory Promoter Genetic Variants (Intrinsic Factors) with Tobacco Exposure (Extrinsic Factors) May Influence Susceptibility and Severity of Prostate Carcinoma: A Prospective Study

Dwivedi, Shailendra,Singh, Sarvesh,Goel, Apul,Khattri, Sanjay,Mandhani, Anil,Sharma, Praveen,Misra, Sanjeev,Pant, Kamlesh Kumar Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.8

Background: It has been hypothesized that IL-18 (pro-) and IL-10 (anti-) inflammatory genetic variants at -607 C/A-137G/C and -819C/T,-592C/A, respectively, may generate susceptibility and severity risk with various modes of tobacco exposure in prostate carcinoma (PCa) patients. IL-18 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine expressed on various cells including prostate gland elements, and is a key mediator of immune responses with anti-cancerous properties. IL-10 is an anti-inflammatory cytokine that is associated with tumour malignancy which causes immune escape. Materials and Methods: The present study was conducted with 540 subjects, comprising 269 prostate carcinoma patients and 271 controls. Genotyping was performed by PCR-RFLP and confirmed by real time PCR probe-based methods. Results: The findings indicated that the mutant heterozygous and homozygous genotype CC and GC+CC showed significant negative associations (p=0.01, OR=0.21; 95% CI: 0.08-0.51 and p=0.011, OR=0.43; 95% CI: 0.22-0.81, respectively) thus, less chance to be diagnosed as cancer against GG genotype of tobacco smoking patients. In addition, a heterozygous GC genotype at the same locus of IL-18 pro-inflammatory cytokine may aggravate the severity (OR=2.82; 95%CI 1.09-7.29 :p=001) so that patients are more likely to be diagnosed in advanced stage than with the GG wild homozygous genotype. Our results also illustrated that anti-inflammatory cytokine (IL-10) genetic variants, although showing no significant association with susceptibility to cancer of the prostate, may gave profound effects on severity of the disease, as -819 TC (OR=4.60; 95%CI 1.35-15.73), and -592 AC (OR=5.04; 95%CI 1.08-25.43) of IL-10 in tobacco chewers and combined users (both chewers and smokers) respectively, are associated with diagnosis in more advanced stage than with other variants. Conclusions: We conclude that promoter genetic variants of IL-18 and IL-10 with various modes of tobacco exposure may affect not only susceptibility risk but also severity in prostate cancer.

      • Immunohistochemical Profile of Breast Cancer Patients at a Tertiary Care Hospital in New Delhi, India

        Doval, Dinesh Chandra,Sharma, Anila,Sinha, Rupal,Kumar, Kapil,Dewan, Ajay Kumar,Chaturvedi, Harit,Batra, Ullas,Talwar, Vineet,Gupta, Sunil Kumar,Singh, Shailendra,Bhole, Vidula,Mehta, Anurag Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.12

Background: To assess the immunohistochemical expression of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PgR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2) neu receptor in breast cancer and their associations with various clinicopathological characteristics. Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of women who presented with primary, unilateral breast cancer in the Department of Medical Oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, Delhi, India during the period from January 2008 to December 2011. Data were retrieved from the medical records of the hospital including both early and locally advanced cancer cases. ER, PgR and HER2neu expression in these patients was assessed and triple negative patients were identified. Associations of triple negative and non-triple negative groups with clinicopathological characteristics were also evaluated. Results: A total of 1,284 women (mean age 52.1 years, 41.9% premenopausal) were included in the analysis. Hormone receptor positivity (ER and/or PgR) was seen in 63.4% patients, while 23.8% of tumors were triple negative. Only 23.0% were HER2 positive. Around 10.0% of tumors were both ER and HER2 positive. ER and PgR positivity was significantly associated with negative HER2 status (p-value <0.0001). Younger age, premenopausal status, higher tumor grade, lymph node negativity, advanced cancer stage, and type of tumor were strongly associated with triple negativity. Significantly, a smaller proportion of women had ductal carcinoma in situ in the triple negative group compared with the non-triple negative group (35.6% versus 60.8%, p-value<0.01). Conclusions: The present analysis is one of the largest studies from India. The majority of the Indian breast cancer patients seen in our hospital present with ER and PgR positive tumors. The triple negative patients tended to be younger, premenopausal, and were associated with higher tumor grades, negative lymph nodes status and lower frequency of ductal carcinoma in situ.

Xylanase enzyme from novel strain and its immobilization onto metal organic framework MOF for fruit juice clarification

        Jyoti Kaushal,Madhu Khatri,Gursharan Singh,Shailendra Kumar Arya 한국생물공학회 2024 Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering Vol.29 No.1

Bacillus pumilus , a bacterial strain was isolated from agricultural soil and used for xylanase enzyme (Xy) production under the submerged fermentation technique. The (Xy) enzyme had an optimum temperature at 50 (maximum activity from 45–60 °C) and was active at broad pH range (5.0–8.0) with an optimum pH at around 6.3 as evaluated from response surface methodology studies. This enzyme after purifi cation (purifi cation; 2.87 folds, specifi c activity; 64.3 U/mg) was immobilized onto MOF Cu-BTC (a copper ion-based metal organic framework) and was used for clarifi cation of freshly squeezed fruit juice (pineapple and pomegranate). The study revealed an improved catalytic effi ciency ( V max from 1.252.5 to 1.361 U/mL/ mg of support) and greater half-life of the immobilized system (77–99 min). The activation energy decreased from that required for the free system (37.59–25.63 kJ/mol). The reusability of the enzyme improved after immobilization where 61% of the enzyme’s activity was retained after 21 cycles of usage. The MOF Xy-Cu-BTC system showed improved clarifi cation (47.58–57.97% for pineapple, and 15.34–18.3 for pomegranate) thereby showing its eff ectiveness in commercial juice clarifi cation process.
