The Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) system is highly interested in future transportation developments due to its possibilities as sustainable and green transport solutions to meet a need for demand-responsive transport services. In particular, Korean PRT vehicle has been developed including its technical features (e.g., all-wheel drive capability, wireless power supply, and magnetic marker-based guidance control) for flexible applicability on the basis of fundamental requirements and mechanism of conventional PRT system. For this purpose, the specifications and system configuration of PRT vehicle suitable as a new transportation system in Korea were presented in this study. In addition, static structural and fatigue analyses of the structure design were achieved by means of finite element(FE) simulation technique, and their structural stability was evaluated according to design criteria specified in the ASCE-APM standards.
