        Fabrication and thermal conductivity of CeO<sub>2</sub>-Ce<sub>3</sub>Si<sub>2</sub> composite

        Various compositions of CeO<sub>2</sub>-Ce<sub>3</sub>Si<sub>2</sub> (0, 10, 30, 50, and 100 wt%Ce<sub>3</sub>Si<sub>2</sub>) composites were fabricated using conventional sintering and spark plasma sintering. Lower relative density, enhanced interdiffusion of oxygen and silicon, and silicide agglomerations from the congruent melting of Ce<sub>3</sub>Si<sub>2</sub> at 1390 ℃ were only observed from conventionally-sintered pellets. Thermal conductivity of spark plasma sintered CeO<sub>2</sub>-Ce<sub>3</sub>Si<sub>2</sub> composites was calculated from the measured thermal diffusivity, specific heat, and density, which exhibited dense (>90 %TD) and homogeneous microstructure. The composite with 50 wt%Ce<sub>3</sub>Si<sub>2</sub> exhibited 55% higher thermal conductivity than CeO<sub>2</sub> at 500 ℃, and 81% higher at 1000 ℃.

        1096년 십자군의 유대인 학살과 히브리 연대기

        교황의 십자군 호소 메시지는 라인란트 유대인에게 전격적이고 참혹한비극을 초래했다. 1096년 유대인 학살은 규모와 정도에서 예외적인 사건이었다. 폭도들의 무분별한 일탈행위로 보이지만, 1096년 학살의 이면에는 기독교 사회의 근본 질서가 변동하면서 찾아오는 균열과 갈등이 감지된다. 히브리 보고서는 1096년 유대인 비극 서사를 전승한다. 드라마 대본 같은히브리 보고서는 역사적 실체에 대한 접근보다는 역사적 서사의 전승으로후세의 기억에 길이 남았다. 그것은 유대인 특유의 역사적 정체성을 찾는방법이었고, 전례 의식 같은 반복을 통해서 당대인들에게 교훈을 전했다. 최근 학계는 보고서의 ‘사실성’에 관한 논쟁을 거쳐 구성된 서사 텍스트라는 인식에 접근해 있다. 19세기 이래 실증주의적 역사인식의 극복이라는측면도 있지만, 유대인의 역사인식이 근대 역사학의 실증주의적 방법론에근본적인 문제를 던지는 것도 사실이다. 그들은 역사보다 예언을 더 사실적이고 객관적이라고 믿기 때문이다. 이것은 향후 역사와 기억의 문제를 함께논하는 자리에서 검토되어야 할 것이다. 1096년 학살 사건은 십자군의 일부이지만, 학살의 책임을 전적으로 십자군에게 돌릴 수는 없다. 십자군을 지휘한 지방 귀족들과 시민들의 동참이없었다면, 십자군은 그토록 무자비하게 폭력을 행사하지 못했다. 폭력 사태는 교회나 제후의 유대인 보호 의무가 미치지 못하는 곳에서 벌어졌다. 1096년 유대인 학살 사건은 이념적 지향성도 없고, 공권력이 개입할 수도 없었던 ‘밑으로부터’ 일어난 무질서한 폭력 사태라 할 수 있다. 그것을 가능하게 한 토양은 봉건적 무정부상태와 기독교 세계의 통일성을 추구하는 교회개혁에 편승한 하층민의 종교적 열정이었다. 1096년 학살은 20세기 초의 홀로코스트의 기원으로 보기는 어렵다. 그러나 유대 민족 수난사에서 1096년은 특별한 주목을 받았고, 다각적인 측면에서 접근은 여전히 필요해 보인다. The crusading message of Pope Urban II caused the Rhineland Jewish Communities to be executed and destructed. The 1096 massacres of Jews were extraordinary in their size and extent. Although it appears to be an indiscriminate act of deviance by the mob, the cracks and conflicts that arise as the fundamental order of Christian society fluctuates are detected behind the 1096 massacre. The Hebrew reports carried on the 1096 Jewish tragedy narrative. They remained in the memory of future generations as a transmission of historical narratives rather than an approach to historical reality. It was a way to find the historical identity peculiar to the Jews, and it delivered lessons to the people of the day through repetition like liturgical ceremonies. Such historical perception raises a fundamental problem in the positivist methodology of modern history. This is because the Jews believe that prophecy is more realistic and objective than history. This will have to be reviewed in the future when discussing the issues of history and memory together. The responsibility for the 1096 massacre cannot be entirely attributed to the crusaders. Without the participation of the local nobles and citizens who commanded the Crusaders, the Crusaders could not engage in violence so mercilessly. The violence took place in places where the church or the prince s duty to protect the Jews did not. The massacre can be said to be a disorderly violence that occurred from below , where there was no ideological orientation and the public authority could not intervene. The soil that made it possible was the religious enthusiasm of the lower class who took the advantage of feudal anarchy and church reform that pursued unity in the Christian world. The 1096 massacre is difficult to see as the origin of the Holocaust in the early 20th century. However, it received special attention in the tragic history of the Jewish people, and a multilateral approach is still needed.

        조직시민행동이 임파워먼트를 매개로 직무만족에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 서울시에 소재한 일반기업의 사무직 종사자 546명을 대상으로 조직시민행동, 임파워먼트 그리고 직무만족의 관련성에 대해 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 21.0을 이용하여 실증분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과로는 첫째, 조직시민행동의 임파워먼트 관계에서 참여적 행동이 자기결정력에 정(+)의 영향을 주었고, 임파워먼트 요소인 자기 결정력과 영향력/의미성이 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 조직시민행동과 직무만족의 관계에서는 이타주의가 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 직무만족에 대한 직접효과와 간접효과를 살펴보면, 조직시민행동의 이타주의는 직접효과가 높았고, 참여적 행동은 간접효과의 값이 더 높았다. 반면에 임파워먼트의 요소인 자기결정력과 영향력/의미성은 조직시민행동보다 높은 값을 나타냈다. 따라서 직무만족에 영향을 주는 요소는 임파워먼트가 가장 중요한 요소임을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 구성원들에게 부여된 임파워먼트의 효과성을 지속적으로 모니터링하고, 교육을 통해 업무 역할에 대한 의미성과 자기결정력을 제고하면 자율성이 높아져 조직의 활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다. We propose a empirically analyzed the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior, empowerment and job satisfaction of 546 office workers in general companies in Seoul city using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 21.0. The results of this study were as follows: First, participatory behavior positively influenced self-determination in the relationship between empowerment and organizational citizenship behavior. Second, altruism had a positive effect on job satisfaction in the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and job satisfaction. Third, looking at the aspect of direct and indirect effects on job satisfaction, it was noticeable that the altruism of organizational citizenship behavior had a higher direct effect, and that participatory behavior had a higher figure of the indirect effect. On the other hand, self-determination and influence/meaning, which are factors of empowerment, showed a higher figure than organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, it is noticeable that empowerment is the most important factor in terms of affecting job satisfaction. that is, continuous monitoring of the effectiveness of the empowerment granted to members and improvement of the meaning and self-determination of the role at the workplace through training will increase the autonomy and it will contribute to the activation of the organization.

      • Emulation of Radiation Damage in Al-B4C Neutron Absorber Used in Temporary/Interim Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility

        Al-B4C neutron absorbers are currently widely used to maintain the subcriticality of both wet and dry storage facilities of spent nuclear fuel (SNF), thus long-term and high-temperature material integrity of the absorbers has to be guaranteed for the expected operation periods of those facilities. Surface corrosion solely has been the main issue for the absorber performance and safety; however, the possibility of irradiation-assisted degradation has been recently suggested from an investigation on Al-B4C surveillance coupons used in a Korean spent nuclear fuel pool (SFP). Larger radiation damage than expectation was speculated to be induced from 10B(n, α)7Li reactions, which emit about a MeV α-particles and Li ions. In this study, we experimentally emulated the radiation damage accumulated in an Al-B4C neutron absorber utilizing heavy-ion accelerator. The absorber specimens were irradiated with He ions at various estimated system temperatures for a model SNF storage facility (room temperature, 150, 270, and 400°C). Through the in-situ heated ion irradiation, three exponentially increasing level of radiation damages (0.01, 0.1, and 1 dpa or displacement per atom) were achieved to compare differential gas bubble formation at near surface of the absorber, which could cause premature absorber corrosion and subsequential 10B loss in an SNF storage system. An extremely high radiation damage (10 dpa), which is unlikely achievable during a dry storage period, was also emulated through high temperature irradiation (350°C) to further test the radiation resistance of the absorber, conservatively. The irradiated specimens were characterized using HR-TEM and the average size and number density of radiation-induced He bubbles were measured from the obtained bright field (BF) TEM micrographs. Measured helium bubble sizes tend to increase with increasing system (or irradiation) temperature while decrease in their number density. Helium bubbles were found from even the lowest radiation damage specimens (0.01 dpa). Bubble coalescence was significant at grain boundaries and the irradiated specimen morphology was particularly similar with the bubble morphology observed at the interface between aluminum alloy matrix and B4C particle of the surveillance coupons. These characterized irradiated specimens will be used for the corrosion test with high-temperature humid gas to further study the irradiation-assisted degradation mechanism of the absorber in dry SNF storage system.
