This case study covers the Knowledge Management research paper that explores the clear idea about the knowledge practicesthat are used in the corporate sector to achieve the strategic advantage over the competitors. The quoted example of the three manufacturing firms TATA MOTORS, BHEL, and M&M have tried to compare the Knowledge practices in these firms, which explores the concept clearer that the competitors can use the same or the different type of knowledge practices to achieve the competitor advantages. In order to help knowledge management goals, an integrated knowledge management system consisting of the knowledge management techniques and technologies are used. The knowledge Management is supported by different techniques and practices whichare knowledge content, people skills, technology and strategy based. The technology and techniques supports these factors of knowledge management. The paper discuss different techniques and processes adapted by three Indian organizations and a comparison is made to suggest the guidelines of KM practices to manufacturing Industries.
Hemihypertrophy with hypomelanosis of Ito: A new syndrome combination

A female hemihypertrophy patient with hypomelanosis of Ito is presented as a rare case combining classical features of both the syndrome. Chromosomal profile has been based on longitudinal study of repeated lymphocyte cultures during 1984-1992. The propositus has exhibited chromosomal mosaicism both hypoploid ($42{\pm}1$) and hyperploid ($48{\pm}2$ chromosome) counts, but the major stem line presented 46XX chromosomes. Ring chromosome with simple and complex translocations with marker dots appear to be the major cytogenetic assemblage of this child to posses unequal left and right halves of the body. Each and every organ from toe to the head has grown up unequally and lately the patient had been exhibiting different dark and light shapes of melanin on the skin. We believe that the patient had inherited, through her male parent, "a few" mutated loci on some chromosomes so as to generate different cell lines within the developing child. All sibs and the mother showed normal karyotype with no apparent aberration.

The present research aims to examine whether learning from the supervisor influences readiness for change with the mediating impact of planfulness. Drawing upon the theory of planned behavior, it is hypothesized that learning from the supervisor positively impacts planfulness ability in individuals, which in turn enhances the readiness for change. Through using convenience sampling, the sample of 451 was collected from employees working full-time in the manufacturing and I.T. service organizations in India. Structural equation modeling and regression analysis indicate that learning from the supervisor is positively associated with readiness for change and planfulness. Additionally, planfulness fully mediated the relationship between learning from the supervisor and readiness to change. The findings of the present research highlight that continuous support and learning from the supervisor enhances the planfulness ability of the individual and consequently enhances individual readiness for change. The current research is pioneering in testing the hypothetical model associating learning from the supervisor, planfulness, and readiness for change.
Conflict Levels in Indian IT and Manufacturing Sectors: A Comparative Study

The present study highlights the conflict management levels in Indian manufacturing and Information Technology (IT) sectors. Nearly 110 samples from different organizations of manufacturing and IT have been collected using convenient sampling technique. Standardised scale on Organisational Conflict developed by Dhar U. and Dhar S. [2003] has been used which consists of twenty items on a four point scale. The study has shown that miscommunication at organizational level has been a reason for conflict in manufacturing organizations whereas intrinsic motivation at organizational as well as individual level has been found a reason for conflict in IT sector. The study bears implications for HR managers to develop policies and conflict management strategies so as to deal with the situations constructively at a particular level of conflict.

This paper aims to propose a conceptual model that empirically examines the relationship of psychological empowerment & role satisfaction and their dimensions with motivation in an Indian context. 176 executives/managers from many public sector organizations in India were approached. Cronbach alpha, correlation and regression analyses were applied to check the research hypotheses. Only meaning was found to be important predictor of motivation. Interestingly, achievement and extension were also observed to be the determinants of motivation. This paper would help researchers and practitioners to work on these variables in some other sectors also. Improvement in the psychological empowerment and role satisfaction will enhance the motivation among Indian business executives/managers which will improve the overall performance of the organization. It is an innovative attempt to utilize psychological empowerment and role satisfaction independently to improve motivation in an Indian framework.

A number of organizations have had big interests in studies concerning leadership and in academic areas, in not only management but also psychology. Until now, leadership has been accentuated by managers or team leaders especially. Recently, however, the concept of self-leadership directing one's own activities through self-control or self-management is being focused on in practices and in academia. This study is to investigate the influence between self-leadership strategies and learning performance in IT classes mediated by attitude of attendance focused on the social science students in two universities (Korea (121 samples) and India (106 samples)). And this research tried to compare difference between two university students. Research results can give us direction of task-taking attitudes in firms or learning attitudes in teaching organizations and implications to human resource managers who are in charge of improving learning performance or productivity.
