        Investigating the Determinants of Online Consumer Engagement on Multiplex Social Network Sites: A Value Exchange Perspective

        This study is intended for demonstrating the impacts of different factors on the formation of online consumer engagement behavior of young Chinese moviegoer in Korea. Based on Value-Exchange Model [Itani et al., 2019], we build research model to reveal the relationships among perceived enjoyment, perceived movie information value, multiplex-audience relationship quality, multiplex usage satisfaction, and online consumer engagement through experiments on valid data we collected from 186 participants who had lived in Korea and experienced the multiplex pages of top 3 movie theaters, where Smart PLS 3.0 is the tool used for statistical analysis. The experimental results show that both perceived enjoyment and perceived movie information value positively correlate to multiplex-audience relationship quality, and multiplex audience relationship quality significantly influences multiplex usage satisfaction and online consumer engagement. In addition, it is found that relationship quality plays the role of mediator between perceived enjoyment and satisfaction. The findings from this study offer both academic and managerial implications for movie distributors who are interested in developing potential Chinese consumer market in Korea.

        A Fast and Exact Verification of Inter-Domain Data Transfer based on PKI

        Trust for the data created, processed and transferred on e-Science environments can be estimated with provenance. The information to form provenance, which says how the data was created and reached its current state, increases as data evolves. It is a heavy burden to trace and verify the massive provenance in order to trust data. On the other hand, it is another issue how to trust the verification of data with provenance. This paper proposes a fast and exact verification of inter-domain data transfer and data origin for e-Science environment based on PKI. The verification, which is called two-way verification, cuts down the tracking overhead of the data along the causality presented on Open Provenance Model with the domain specialty of e-Science environment supported by Grid Security Infrastructure (GSI). The proposed scheme is easy-applicable without an extra infrastructure, scalable irrespective of the number of provenance records, transparent and secure with cryptography as well as low-overhead.

        A Case Study of SW Expert Training Platform Based on International Cooperation: HRD Center in Cambodia

        In recent years, international cooperation has become important not only at the humanitarian level but also at the socio-economic level. As a result, major foreign countries are increasing capital-intensive international cooperation. In this environment, Korea needs to look for differentiated international cooperation plans centered on sustainable talent cultivation and move away from capital-based international cooperation. In this study, we analyzed the case of HRD (Human Resource Development) center in Cambodia as an international cooperation model between industry-academia-college for training software (SW) workforce. The HRD Center in Cambodia is an educational institution that fosters SW talent and can be viewed as an international cooperation model that can influence the ICT industry in Cambodia as an educational platform. In fact, 190 people who have been hired so far have entered various fields. 97% of graduates have been satisfied with HRD center and 90% of them are willing to recommend the center. In particular, as highlighted in the case study, the HRD Center has had a positive effect on not only cultivating self-initiated learning-based SW talent, but also formulating positive image of Korea and Korean companies thereby facilitating entry into the global market. The HRD Center in Cambodia has developed a virtuous cycle of fostering human resources, providing education, advancing industry and building a cooperative network. Korea has transformed into a platform for international cooperation and human resource development and education by providing active support and aid. This case study will be utilized as a new model of international cooperation with SW expert training platform for Korea.

        National Context as an Important Variable for the Development of IT-based Strategic Capability

        This study was initiated to inquire as to why Wal-Mart failed in the Korean market. For multi-national corporations, environmental differences such as cultural and social differences among countries require business strategies to vary country by country. In Korea, Confucian Ethics are penetrated in every aspect of people's lives. An important aspect of Confucian Ethics is the role and responsibility of women in society. Considering this, businesses need to understand Korean women's preferences as consumers and develop business strategies accordingly. This study emphasizes that IS strategy is one component of the business strategy and, as such, must be rooted in business issues. Understanding that IS strategy should fit to national contexts, this study investigates the underlying process in which IT-based strategic capability is developed according to national context to gain competitive advantages.

        The Activity-Oriented Usability Model of Software

        In this paper, an activity-oriented usability model is proposed. The usability model contains two types of characteristics: special-type characteristics of usability and sub-characteristics of usability. Workability, study-ability, and playability are, but do not exhaust, examples of special-type characteristic of usability. They correspond to working, studying, and playing using the software product, respectively. They represent the goal of using and can overlap each other. They are usability too by themselves. Navigate-ability, data-prepare-ability, data-input-ability, response-wait-ability, output-examine-ability, and output-utilize-ability are typical examples of sub-characteristics of usability. They correspond to navigating, preparing data, inputting data, waiting response, examining output, and utilizing the output data, respectively. They are not usability by themselves. They constitute usability together as a group. Assessing is the fundamental and indispensable aspect of quality. Without assessing, the concept of quality has little practical value. Satisfaction, effectiveness, and efficiency are the most typical sub-characteristics of usability in existing quality models, which correspond to the evaluation criteria of usability. In the activity-oriented usability model, however, only the user's satisfaction is included: Satisfaction is regarded as the operational definition of usability in the user's view. As the result, usability can be interpreted as the 'goodness for using, which is evaluated by the user. 'Three fundamental principles regarding software quality models are proposed too in this paper: Principles of Parsimony, Cohesiveness, and Inheritance. Discussions illustrate well that typical existing usability models violate these basic principles. Many authors have tried to define general usability models which can be applied to most kinds of software. The dream of the general and universal usability model, however, may be an illusion. The activity-oriented usability model is expected to serve as a prototype from which specialized usability models can be derived.

        Developing a Decision Making Model for Selecting an IT Post-Merger Integration Strategy

        M&A (Merger and Acquisitions) is a standard corporate strategy frequently used by companies seeking to secure new growth engines and gain a solid foothold in their markets in order to become more globally competitive. To achieve the original goals of M&A, the two involved parties need to invest significant time and resources in integrating all aspects of the companies. A well-planned post-merger integration of information technology (IT PMI) by the two M&A parties is considered a crucial and difficult process because IT provides a fundamental infrastructure for integration. Considering various internal and external factors, the two parties normally formulate an IT PMI strategy. The many IT PMI strategies can be categorized into four major types: Renewal, Takeover, Standardization, and Synchronization. This study aims to develop a decision making model to help merger company and IT managers select the proper IT PMI strategy. More specifically, we identify key determinants that need to be considered when selecting a proper IT PMI strategy. The relative importance of each determinant is defined by analytic hierarchy process (AHP) analysis. Finally, this study evaluates each IT integration strategy under the identified determinants.

        A Study on the Influence of Digital Experience and Purchase in the 4<sup>th</sup> Industrial Revolution : Focusing on Differences between Satisfied, Neutral, and Dissatisfied Groups

        One of the most considerate phenomena of the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is the use of digital devices. Digitalization is rapidly advancing through all areas of industry and life. Customer journey with digitalization is looking totally different from previous customer journey. The research targets were users of fashion, automobiles, cosmetics and online shopping malls. We analyzed 300 people for each valid questionnaire. The results of the study are as follows. First, it has been proven that digital experience affects positive (+) impact on purchasing intention and positive (+) impact on recommending intention and negative impact (-) on switching intent and subsequently affects positive impact (+) to purchase and incase of switching intent, negative impact (-) to purchase. Unlike traditional methods such as SPC(Service Profit Chain), the Digital experience to Purchase process Chain (DPC) has been identified to be suitable in the digital age. Second, the digital satisfied group (5 score-very satisfaction) has shown same result as above. However the digital neutral group (even though 4 score- satisfaction in five-point scale), specially in a highly competitive industry, has different from the satisfied group and 3 score-normal is same as dissatisfied group. It means that this group is that If there is a high level of attractiveness of substitute goods, there is a high possibility of switching them. It has supported Jones and Sasser [1995] that there have been two types of loyalty of true long-term loyalty and what we call false loyalty in the highly competitive industry zone which is commoditization or low differentiation, many substitutes, low cost of switching. Identifying true loyalty and false loyalty is crucial to establishing a customer experience strategy. it is necessary to actively utilize long-term digital experiences strategy to increase the total satisfaction of digital experience through all of customer purchasing journey in order to enhance the digital customer experience. It is difficult to see the effect as a one-time event. It should be scaled over the entire customer purchase process over a long period of time, which can positively affect purchase intention, recommendation intention, and conversion intention. This is also why it is difficult for second-runners to overtake first-runners in a short period.

        Determinants of Business Process Outsourcing in Human Resource Function

        The management of organizational Human Resource is steadily shifting away from pure hierarchical to market mechanisms that involve external vendors. HR Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) has recently emerged as a significant administrative innovation in an organization's strategy. Our paper attempts to understand firm-specific factors influencing the scope of HR BPO needs. Study results show that IT maturity and firm size are influential factors on the scope of HR BPO needs. We hope that our attempt at empirically examining and predicting this emergent phenomenon will stimulate others to look at this important strategic challenge facing firms from a theoretical perspective. Such research initiatives will allow us not only to better understand this complex phenomenon, but also to drive useful management prescriptions grounded on theory-based research.

        Offshore Outsourcing Success : An Integrated Framework

        As the digital economy goes global, firms are trying to find suppliers that can address their managerial goals and strategies. The alternatives are not confined to domestic firms. Firms have been trying to connect to foreign partners worldwide. Although offshore outsourcing grants firms various benefits, they present big cultural challenges. However, there is little research on the impact of cultural or country factors on outsourcing. The goal of this paper is to synthesize the outsourcing success literature and develop propositions for outsourcing success in the context of offshore outsourcing. This paper proposes that cultural effects should be included in evaluating the success of offshore outsourcing. Knowledge sharing and the scope of outsourcing are adopted in the base outsourcing success model from previous literature. In the extended model partnership quality is included as a mediator and organizational capability and outsourcing relationship type are also included as moderator. Finally, the integrated framework of offshore outsourcing success includes cultural factors as moderators of the relationships between outsourcing success antecedents and the success of offshore outsourcing. Reasoning for propositions, managerial implications, and future research directions are discussed.

        A Multi-Agent Negotiation System with Negotiation Models Changeable According to the Bargaining Environment

        Negotiation is a process of reaching an agreement on the terms of a transaction. such as price, quantity, for two or more parties. Negotiation tries to maximize the benefits for all parties concerned. instead of using human-based negotiation. the e-commerce environment provides such an environment as adopting automated negotiation. Thus. choosing agent technology is appropriate for an automatic electronic negotiation platform. since autonomous software agents strive for the best deal on behalf of the human participants. Negotiation agents need a clear-cut definition of negotiation models or strategies. In reality, most bargaining systems embody nearly one negotiation model. In this article. we present a mobile agent negotiation system with reusable negotiation strategies that allows agents to dynamically embody a user's favorite negotiation strategy which can be preinstalled as a component in the system. We develop a prototype system, which is fully implemented in compliance with FIPA specifications, and then. describe the benefits of using the system.
