Mirizzi syndrome was previously considered an absolute contraindication for laparoscopic cholecystectomy. However, with advances in radiology and increasing familiarity with the pathophysiology, the successful laparoscopic management of Mirizzi syndrome is now increasingly reported. The presence of cirrhosis and periportal collaterals increases the difficulty of performing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Intraoperative indocyanine green (ICG) imaging is very helpful in these complex situations. We present the first published report of ICG-assisted laparoscopic cholecystectomy in type 1 Mirizzi syndrome with Child-Pugh A cirrhosis.
The Samsung Saga: Success Story of Smartphone Giant
Priya Malhotra,Saumya Gupta Academy of Asian Business (AAB) 2019 Academy of Asian Business Review Vol.5 No.1
This paper is a case study on the Samsung’s Smartphones business. It made an attempt at identifying the major factors that led to its brilliant growth, and addressing the challenges faced on the way and how Samsung overcame them. In the first section, the paper highlights and discusses two most important turning points that shaped the success of Samsung- 1993 Frankfurt Declaration in which Kun-Hee Lee conveyed to the team his new vision for Samsung, and 2012 Samsung Galaxy S3 launch with better features and design that helped Samsung become a globally acclaimed smartphones market player. The second section discusses the two most important factors behind Samsung’s smartphones success- Work Culture and Marketing mix strategies. Samsung’s focus on meritorious work culture has helped it motivate its employees. The third section gives a detailed competitor analyses wherein Samsung’s three major competitors namely, Apple, Xiaomi and Huawei are discussed. The section helps the readers understand how Samsung is placed in the market in comparison to its competitors. The last section contains SWOT analyses of Samsung. In the end, a crisp conclusion along with learnings from the case and the future prospects of the company has been presented. The paper will be helpful to business professionals, academicians and students trying to understand the success factors behind a major technology giant. The key learnings are the importance of good work culture and a healthy marketing mix essential for a business in a highly competitive environment.

Conventional coagulation techniques have shown inefficacy for the removal of DBPs precursor i.e. hydrophobic NOM. The present study has used a bio-flocculant named Ficus benghalensis to enhance the coagulation activity of alum for the removal of hydrophobic NOM. The coagulation activity of the augmented treatment (Alum-F. benghalensis) system was validated using spectroscopic analysis. The augmented system had shown an increment in DOC and A254 removal by ~30% and ~16%, respectively. ASI and A272 had shown a continual decrease (from 0.12 to 0.08 and 0.46 to 0.23, respectively) for the augmented system. Chlorine demand was found lesser for the augmented system (1.4 ㎎/L) compared to alum (1.55 ㎎/L) only. The augmented system had shown a drastic reduction (from 0.1459 to 0.0638) in the value of (-ΔA272), which is directly related to the reduction in THMFP. The combined effects of sweep coagulation and charge neutralization were the responsible mechanisms for the augmented coagulation system. The noteworthy anti-bacterial activity of F. benghalensis was observed due to the presence of silver, copper, and traces of chlorine in its structure. Thus, the proposed augmented coagulation system can be used to remove the hydrophobic NOM from the water.
A Note on Continued Fractions and Mock Theta Functions
Srivastava, Pankaj,Gupta, Priya Department of Mathematics 2016 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.56 No.1
Mock theta functions are the most interesting topic mentioned in Ramanujan's Lost Notebook, due to its emerging application in the field of Number theory, Quantum invariants theory and etc. In the present research articles we have made an attempt to develop continued fractions representation of all the existing Mock theta functions.
Crytography Bases Solution FOR Distributed Denial of Service Attack in Manet

In mobile ad-hoc network nodes communicate with each other or forward data by making route with the help of other nodes. Infrastructure of the network does not fix topology change due to movability of nodes that’s why attacking condition in this network become high. There are lots of attacks for this network. In this paper we study about denial of service attack and its prevention and detection technique, in our propose work we give a novel solution to detect or prevent denial of service attack we implement our work in NS-2.35. Efficiency of our work we proof with the help of results.

Plant derived natural products have been the major source for treatment of diseases traditionally but with the advent of modern systems of medicine, there is need to explore the active constituents present in it followed by modification for better therapeutic activity, low toxicity and favorable pharmacokinetics to become a drug molecule. A simple, rapid and sensitive high-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC– MS/MS) method was developed and validated according to Food and Drug Administration guidelines for determination of IS01957, a derivative of naturally occurring para coumaric acid in mice plasma. The extraction of the analyte and the internal standard (Carbamazepine) from the plasma samples involved protein precipitation using acetonitrile. Results of validation parameters were met with the acceptance criteria of the FDA guidelines. Method was highly sensitive (5 ng/mL) that could determine very low concentration of compound in plasma The developed and validated method was successfully applied to determine compound’s metabolic stability in mouse liver microsomes (MLM) and human liver microsomes (HLM). Test compound was found to be stable in MLM and HLM in the experimental conditions. Metabolic stability data was extrapolated which was further correlated to pharmacokinetics study in mice through oral, intraperitoneal and intravenous administration. In-vitro half life was found to be greater than 2 h in both MLM and HLM. Hepatic extraction ratio of the compound was found to be in the intermediate range. Pharmacokinetic evaluations revealed that it is a suitable candidate for intraperitoneal as well as oral administration.
