This species is distinguished from F. indica of India and the key for discrimination is presented. This is the first record of the genus in the Palaearctic region.

Lysiphlebia japonica (Ashm.) was determined as a dominant and a keystone aphid parasitoid in the ecosystems and agro-ecosystems of Korea. Host range of the parasitoid is reviewed on grounds of original and published records and it is discussed in relation to integrated pest management.

Background This study aimed to determine the magnitude of volume reduction of the latissimus dorsi (LD) muscle after treatment using only postoperative radiotherapy (PORTx) in patients who underwent immediate breast reconstruction using an extended LD musculocutaneous (eLDMC) flap after partial mastectomy. Methods We retrospectively reviewed 28 patients who underwent partial mastectomy and an eLDMC flap, received only PORTx, and underwent chest computed tomography (CT) 7 to 10 days after surgery and 18±4 months after the end of radiotherapy, from March 2011 to June 2016. The motor nerve to the LD was resected in all patients. One plastic surgeon performed the procedures, and the follow-up period was at least 36 months (mean, 46.6 months). The author obtained LD measurements from axial CT views, and the measurements were verified by an experienced radiologist. The threshold for statistical significance was set at P<0.05. Results A statistically significant decrease in the LD volume was found after the end of PORTx (range, 61.19%-80.82%; mean, 69.04%) in comparison to the measurements obtained 7 to 10 days postoperatively (P<0.05). All cases were observed clinically for over 3 years. Conclusions The size of an eLDMC flap should be determined considering an average LD reduction of 69% after PORTx. Particular care should be taken in determining the size of an eLDMC flap if the LD is thick or if it occupies a large portion of the flap.

<P>One-dimensional photonic crystals based on the periodic stacking of two different dielectric layers have been widely studied, but the fabrication of mechanically flexible polymer structural color (SC) films, with electro-active color switching, remains challenging. Here, we demonstrate free-standing electric field tunable ionic liquid (IL) swollen block copolymer (BCP) films. Placement of a polymer/ionic liquid film-reservoir adjacent to a self-assembled poly(styrene-<I>block</I>-quaternized 2-vinylpyridine) (PS-<I>b</I>-QP2VP) copolymer SC film allowed the development of red (R), green (G), and blue (B) full-color SC block copolymer films by swelling of the QP2VP domains by the ionic liquid associated with water molecules. The IL–polymer/BCP SC film is mechanically flexible with excellent color stability over several days at ambient conditions. 본 연구에서는 주류공장 내 고농도 CO₂ 제거 및 포집을 위해 L-alanine 흡수제를 적용하여 CO₂ 흡수, 탈리 효율을 평가 후 재생 성능을 확인하였다. 탈리공정의 효율적인 처리를 평가하기 위해 실험실 규모에서 Hot plate, Steam 두가지 탈리 방법을 비교하였으며 Hot plate는 약 10%, Steam의 경우 약 60%의 재생효율을 확인하였다. 따라서 주류공장 내 100m 3 /min 실증화 규모에 Steam-Tower 탈리공정을 적용하여 최적조건을 평가한 결과 탈리 유량 4L/min 이하, Steam 온도 160℃ 이상, 탈리효율 85.5%로 확인할 수 있었다. In this study, amino acid salt absorbents were applied to remove and capture high concentrations of CO₂ in liquor factories and regeneration performance was confirmed. In order to evaluate the effective treatment of the desorption process, two methods(Hot plate and Steam) were compared at the laboratory scale. As a result, hot plate and Steam. Hot plate methods regeneration efficiency was about 10% and Steam methods was about 60%. The Steam-Tower condition was evaluated by installing a 100m 3 /min flow rate scrubber absorption system in the liquor factory. As a result, it was established that the absorbent flow rate was below 4L/min and the steam temperature was above 160℃. Finally regeneration performance was confirmed as 85.5%.
Effect of Korean Medicine Treatments for Fat Pad Syndrome of Knee Joint: A Case Report

Fat pad syndrome is a knee joint condition/disease where acute or chronic inflammation occurs in the fat pad of the knee joint, and it is a cause of anterior knee pain. Fat pad syndrome usually occurs concurrently with other conditions/diseases to collectively cause anterior knee pain. No study to date has reported the treatment of anterior knee pain solely due to fat pad syndrome. Here, we report a case of fat pad syndrome of the knee joint as the sole cause of anterior knee pain in a 49-year-old woman who received integrated Korean medicine treatments (pharmacopuncture, acupuncture, herbal medicine, deep fascial meridian therapy, and chuna). Using patient-reported pain scale scores, the level of the patient’s pain was relieved, and her mobility improved. Integrated Korean medicine treatments could be effective for patients who have fat pad syndrome of the knee joint.

Aims: Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor λ coactivator 1a (PGC-1a) is a potent regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis and energy metabolism. In this study, we investigated the therapeutic potential of the secretome released from the adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) transfected with PGC-1a (PGC-secretome). Methods: We first generated PGC-1a-overexpressing ASCs by transfecting ASCs with the plasmids harboring the gene encoding PGC-1a. Secretory materials released from PGC-1a-overex-pressing ASCs were collected and their therapeutic potential was determined using in vitro (thioacetamide [TAA]-treated AML12 cells) and in vivo (70% partial hepatectomized mice) models of liver injury. Results: In the TAA-treated AML12 cells, the PGC-secretome significantly increased cell viability, promoted expression of proliferation-related markers, such as PCNA and p-STAT, and significantly reduced the levels of ROS. In the mice, PGC-secretome injections significantly increased both liver tissue expression of proliferation-related markers than did normal secretome injections (P<0.05). We demonstrated that the PGC-secretome does not only have higher antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, but also has a potential of significantly enhancing liver regeneration in both in vivo and in vitro models of liver injury. Conclusions: Reinforcing the mitochondrial antioxidant potential by transfecting ASCs with PGC-1a could be one of the effective strategies to enhance the therapeutic potential of ASCs.
