We have uncovered 14 Korean royal astronomers and one scientist who worked in the early and mid-18th century. In spite of their high positions in the government office, all of them but one were not recorded anywhere in the major histories, such as WangjoSillok (王朝實錄) and JeungboMunheonBigo (增補文獻備考). Our search of Bon'gwans for each person has been carried successfully for 13 scientists. Their family relations are also uncovered finding five eminent astronomy families.
A Study of the 1668 Deungrok, Records of Celestial Phenomena from the Joseon Dynasty

This paper will introduce and overview in general the Seongbyeon Deungrok issued by the Gwansang-gam, the Astronomical Board in the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. All the Chinese characters in the 1668 Seongbyeon Deungrok was deciphered at first and these were translated into Korean and English. With these translations and the word ‘white vapor’ in particular we discuss the nature of the main object in this Deungrok. Lastly, names of observers who engaged in the observations of this 1668 celestial, which are made as a by-product of this research, are introduced.
UBV LIGHT CURVES OF $\zeta$ AUR STAR 32 CYGNI

UBV observations of $\zeta$ Aur star 32 Cyg have been made at the Yonsei University Observatory using the 60-cm Goto relflector for five years, 1988-1992. Observations made during these years cover outside of eclipse phase only. No significant light variation which would represent the secondary eclipse of red supergiant by a hot main sequence star is found. The light levels in three passbands do not show any evidence of the proximate effect of this binary system. Some strong light variations, particularly in U, are discussed with no successful explanation.

UBV observations at Yonsei University Observatory (500 and 537 observations each at Ilsan Station and at Campus Station) were made for the latest eclipse of $\zeta$ Aur in 1987-1988. Orbital period of Saijo and Saito has been confirmed and the light and color variations on the night JD 244730 are found.

페르세우스 성좌내의 잘 알려져 있는 식변광성, AG Per와 Algol의 주기 변화에 대하여 연구하였다. AG Per에 대하여 Flower and Cook 천문대에서 관측한 BV 관측은 Semeniuk (1968)에 의하여 주어진 광도요소와 잘 일치하지만 궤도ㅈ기에 있어서는 +0d.00000010의 미소한 보정을 하였다. Popper (1974)가 최근에 얻은 이 별의 질량과 우리의 궤도주기를 가지고도 Semeniuk의 Apsidal constant를 보정할 수는 없었다. Algol에 대하여는 연세대학교 부속천문대의 6-cm 천체 사진의로 한개의 극심시각을 얻었다. 이 값과 Eggen(1948)이 관측한 이후에 알려진 14개의 값들을 여러 문헌에서 수집하여 새로운 광도요소로서 T0=JD 2440953.4552, P=2d8673285을 얻었다.

Storage protein-2(SP2) of Hyphantria cunea(Lepidoptera) was confirmed from hemolymph of the last instar larvae and purified using salting out, cation exchange chromatography, and gel permeation chromatography. The purity of isolated SP2 was monitored by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. SP2 is composed of single type subunit which has a molecular weight of 82.5 kDa. PI value of SP2 was determined to be 6.9. Based on the amino acid composition, SP2 is not regarded as arylphorin. SP2 bears some homology in its N-terminal sequence with the arylphorins of Hymenoptera and Diptera as well as Lepidoptera.
A Study on the Green Function for the Heisenberg Ferro- and Antiferro-magnets

Heisenberg의 强磁性 反强磁性에 대한 統一된 Green 函數理論을 수립하였다. Green 函數의 運動方程式을 Callen의 decoupling 近似方法으로 分離시켜서 解를 求하고 이 解를 利用하여 强磁性에 대한 Curie 溫度 및 그 上下에서 spin의 橫的相關函數를 計算하였다. 이 結果가 다른 硏究結果와 一致하였다. The unified Green function theory is developed for the Heisenberg ferro-and antiferro-magnets. The equation of motion for the Green function is decoupled by the Callen decoupling approximation. The Solution of the equation is used to find the transverse corrlation functions of spins at, above, and below the Curie temperature for the ferromagnets. The results are found to be consistent with the others.
