      • 체육연간 계획에 의한 뜀틀운동 수업후 기능 수준에 관한 연구

        중학교 기계체조 교과의 뜀틀운동을 연간 지정된 수업시간으로 경험을 시켰을 때 어느 정도의 동작표현이 가능한지 또한 동작표현의 가능성을 위해서는 어느 정도 수업시간이 필요한지를 진단하여 현행 체육 교과과정상에 문제점이 있는지를 알아보기 위해 양양군 H중학교 남학생 111명을 대상으로 1992년 6월부터 7월말까지 측정한 결과가 다음과 같다. 1), 1학년의 경우, 연간 배정된 수업시간 후 평균 평점 3.11(62.2%), 추가 3시간 수업 후 평균 평점 3.71(74.2%)로 나타났다. 2), 2학년의 경우, 연간 배정된 수업시간 후 평균 평점 3.16(63.2%), 추가 3시간 수업 후 평균 평점 3.73(74.6%)로 나타났다. 3), 3학년의 경우, 연간 배정된 수업시간 후 평균 평점 2.82(56.4%), 추가 3시간 수업 후 평균 평점 3.53(70. 6%)로 나타났다. 위를 종합하여 보면 1. 2학년은 수업시수 8시간 정도에서 목표수준에 접근되고 있으며, 3학년은 8시간 이상의 수업을 통해서만 목표수준에 도달되고 있음을 알 수 있다. We measured the ability of male students in H middle school of Yan-yang Country from June, 1992 to July the same year. We had outcome as follows after having diagnosed how much expression of action was possible in appointed school hours and how much school hours we needed in order to achieve the possibility of expression of action, in order to observe that there are problems in curriculum now in use. 1. In case of first year, the outcome shows average score of 3.11(62.2%) after assigned school hours a year and 3.71(74.2%) after added 3 hours. 2. In case of second year, the outcome shows average score of 3.16(63.2%) after as signed school hours a year and 3.73(74.6%) after added 3 hours. 3. In case of third year, the outcome shows average score of 2.82 (56.4%) after assigned school hours and 3.53 (70.6%) after added 3 hours. When we put together contents above, we come to know that first year and second year reach the level of target in 8 school hours, third year reaches it only by 8 school year reach the level of targets in 8 school hours, third rear reaches it only by 8 school hours or more. More gymnastics unet is needed in order to reach each item's target level in present curriculum and it seems that more difficult skill is not needed if the target is put on improving the ability of adaptation. That is to say, the degree of difficulty is needed, which is fit to present gymnastics unit and it is neede to reconsider that general curriculum's target level demands the level of professional playe.

        Changes in CuticularWaxes of Developing Leaves in Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.)

        Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is one of the most important oil seed crops, which has been used as a traditional health food. The objective of this study was to investigate the changes of leaf cuticular waxes during plant growth from 5 to 75 days after seedling emergence, and the variation of leaf waxes with different leaf position; top, middle, and lower positions, using four Korean sesame cultivars, Ahnsan, Danbaeck, Hanseom, and Kyeongheuk. Alkanes in lower leaves and aldehydes in top leaves among leaf positions were the most abundant, with alkanes being with major portion in all leaf position of four sesame cultivars. Total leaf wax load decreased around three-fold between 5 and 30 days, and then remained constant up to day 75. The percentages of alkanes and aldehydes increased between 5 and 15 days and then changed little or increasingly, showing minor variation depending on sesame cultivars. The rate of increase of alkanes was slightly higher than that of aldehydes. Chain length of alkanes and aldehydes became longer from 5 to 30 days, and then remained almost constant till day 75. The major homologue in alkanes was the C29 at day 5 and the C33 constituent after day 30, while the major homologue in aldehydes was the C32 constituent continuously during leaf development. The results demonstrated that the chain length for alkane and aldehyde constituents changed increasingly by chain elongation and wax biosynthesis during leaf development of sesame.

        Effect of Seed Priming Treatment on the germination of Sesame

        This experiment was conducted to find out optimum priming treatment conditions to the sesame seed as a preliminary study for enhancing sesame germination properties. Effective priming agents and concentrations for sesame seed were $K_3PO_4$, 200 mM and PEG6000, -1.0 MPa respectively. Optimum priming temperature and duration were $15^{\circ}C$, 4 days in view of germination speed and germination percentage. PEG6000 with -1.0 MPa was selected as an efficient priming treatment condition at $15^{\circ}C$, 4 days. This study suggested that priming treatment to sesame seed would be an effective technique enhancing sesame seed germination and shortening time to the $T_{50}$ at the field condition, but the efficiency of priming treatments to the sesame seed would be strongly dependent on individual or integrated conditions of priming agent, concentration, temperature and duration etc.

      • Oil Content and Fatty Acid Composition of Seed Oil from Germplasm Collection of Perilla species

        A total of 162 accessions of Perilla germplasm collected from diverse habitats in South Korea. The oil content of the seeds varied from 19.8 to 49.6%, the average being 33.3%. Oil content showed wide ranges of variation. The fatty acid composition of the seed oil showed the following overall ranges: palmitic 4.5 to 8.1%, stearic 1.6 to 7.4%, oleic 13.4 to 23.6%, linoleic 9.5 to 19.5%, and linolenic acid 48.6 to 66.4%. No correlation was found between oil content and fatty acid composition. The results obtained in this study provide useful background information for developing new cultivars with a high oil content and different fatty acid. Several accessions could be used as parental lines in breeding programs aiming to increase perilla oil quantity and quality.

        Establishment of Sesame Cultivation Practices as Succeeding Cropping System of Watermelon in the Greenhouse Condition

        This experiment was conducted to develop optimum sesame cultivation practices as succeeding cropping system of watermelon in the greenhouse condition. We also compared major components in sesame seed cultivated in the greenhouse and open field condition. The adaptable varieties under the greenhouse condition were white sesame 'Pyoungan' and black sesame 'Jinki' which showed higher yield and disease resistance. We also conducted several experiments to determine optimum sowing date, planting density and pinching time. Grain yields were statistically different according to the several sowing dates. In general, sesame sowing on June 30th showed higher grain yields than July 10th, July 20th and July 30th in the greenhouse. We also found out sesame cultivation practice with the row spacing of 40 cm and interplant spacing of 30 cm (a few branch type) or 40 cm (many branch type) showed higher yield than other treatments. Optimum pinching time was 25 days after first flowering in main stem when thousand seed weight and grain yield were highest. In the comparison of major components of sesame at the different cultivation conditions, sesame seeds cultivated in the greenhouse contained 4% much more oil content than open field condition. The lignan compounds, sesamin and sesamolin were also higher by 6% in the greenhouse than open field condition. It was concluded that sesame cultivation practices as succeeding cropping system of watermelon in the greenhouse condition guaranteed higher grain yield with less labor input which is now emerging alternative farming practice system in present aging rural society and will also give sesame cultivation farmers to increase net income in Korea.

        New insights for anti-aging activity of the active molecules that have been encapsulated in living plant cells

        Real Cell-PA<SUP>TM</SUP> 는 살아 있는 식물 세포로 활성 성분이 봉입된 형태의 새로운 소재이다. 본 연구에서는 세포 및 인체 피부에서 Real Cell-PA<SUP>TM</SUP>의 유용한 효과를 관찰하였다. 콜라겐 분해 억제능 시험에서 Real Cell-PATM는 자외선으로 유도된 MMP-1 mRNA 발현을 억제하였고, 콜라겐 섬유의 분비를 유의하게 활성화시켰다. 세포 이동능 시험에서는 Real Cell-PA<SUP>TM</SUP>를 처리한 그룹에서 세포의 이동거리가 증가되었다. 또한 농도 의존적 DPPH 라디컬 소거능 및 세포내 활성산소의 농도가 효과적으로 감소되는 것을 확인하였다. 인체 적용 시험 결과 Real Cell-PA<SUP>TM</SUP>가 적용된 시험군에서 사용 28일 후 사용 전에 비해 유의한 탄력 및 윤기 개선이 관찰되었다. 따라서 이러한 결과는 Real Cell-PA<SUP>TM</SUP>가 피부 노화를 억제하는 효과적인 새로운 소재로서 화장품 및 의약외품에 적용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

        Variation of Caffeic acid, Rosmarinic acid, Luteolin and Apigenin Contents in Perilla Germplasm

        Perilla frutescens, which belonging to the Labiatae family, is widely cultivated oil crop and have been used traditional herbal medicine in East Asia such as Korea, China, and Japan. Especially, the leaves and the seeds of this species are important in Korean traditional cooking, as one of the popular garnish and food colorants. Numerous studies have revealed that the beneficial health effects of perilla are due to its several phytochemicals contents, such as rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid, luteolin, and apigenin. For this reason, increasing the content of phytochemicals in perilla hasbecome a major breeding objective. The genetic diversity of the rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid, luteolin, and apigenin content in perilla seed is poorly documented. We analyzed the rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid, luteolin, and apigenin content of 203 accessions of perilla germplasm by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The rosmarinic acid and luteolin contents ofgermplasms were ranged from 15.7 μg/g to 2717.1 μg/g and from 1.6 μg/g to 582.4 μg/g respectively.

      • Development of Optimum Transplanting Seedling Quality in Sesame

        This experiment was conducted to develope optimum seedling quality for the sesame transplanting system. To determine optimum seedling quality condition, we conducted several experiments. At the optimum pot selection experiment for the sesame transplanting, plastic pot with 105 holes showed relatively better early growth status of sesame than those of other plastic pots with 72, 128, 164 and 200 holes. And the soil combination, 'Bunong + Plant World' which is mixed 50% respectively showed higher germination rate, lower disease and lodging rate than those of other nursery soils at the determination of optimum nursery soil mixtures. We also conducted one experiment to find out seedling duration for the optimum transplanting seedling quality. According to the result, the seedling stage with about 4 or 5 regular leaves which came to 40 days after sowing showed higher number of capsule per plant and yield potential. Those results will help to develop mechanized sesame seedling transplanting system to reduce labor and increase net income for the sesame cultivation farmers.
