EXTENDED GENERALIZED BATEMAN'S MATRIX POLYNOMIALS

In this article, a study of generalized Bateman's matrix polynomials is presented. We obtained partial differential equations by using differential operators in the generalized Bateman's matrix polynomials for two variables. Then we introduced some different recurrence relationships of the generalized Bateman's matrix polynomials. Finally present the relationship between the generalized Bateman's matrix polynomials of one and two variables.

Let G be a finite group and nse(G) be the set of numbers of elements of G of the same order. In this paper, we prove that the simple group $Sz(2^{2m+1})$, where $2^{2m+1}-1$ is a prime number, is uniquely determined by $nse(Sz(2^{2m+1}))$ and ${\mid}Sz(2^{2m+1}){\mid}$.

The main aim of this article is to study quantitative structure of finite simple exceptional groups F<sub>4</sub>(2<sup>n</sup>) with n > 1. Here, we prove that the finite simple exceptional groups F<sub>4</sub>(2<sup>n</sup>), where 2<sup>4n</sup> + 1 is a prime number with n > 1 a power of 2, can be uniquely determined by their orders and the set of the number of elements with the same order. In conclusion, we give a positive answer to J. G. Thompson's problem for finite simple exceptional groups F<sub>4</sub>(2<sup>n</sup>).

Absorber is the most important component in LiBr-H2O absorption systems as its operating performance directly influences the performance of the whole system. In simulating absorption heat and mass transfer in horizontal tube absorber, many authors, for simplicity, make some assumptions. One of these assumptions is that the thermo-physical properties of the solution are constant across the absorber. In this paper, LiBr-H2O horizontal tube absorber was simulated with constant and variable thermo-physical properties and a comparison between the performance parameters (solution concentration, solution temperature, absorber heat duty and rate of vapor absorption) was made. Two solution flow rates are used in this simulation (Γ=0.0375 kgs −1 m −1 and Γ=0.025 Γ=0.025kgs −1 m −1) and a computer program was developed to simulate the two cases (constant and variable thermo-physical properties). The comparison results show that, in case of variable thermo-physical properties, the heat duty and vapor absorption rate are less than those in case of constant thermo-physical properties whereas solution concentration and temperature are slightly greater. Also, it is found that increasing solution volume flow rate increases the difference in heat duty and absorption rate and slightly decreases the difference in solution concentration and temperature.
Prevalence of Cigarette Smoking Usage among Adolescent Students in Northern Saudi Arabia

Background: Cigarette smoking is a major public health issue in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in recent years, particularly among adolescents. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of cigarette smoking usage among adolescent students in the north of the country. Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study investigated 305 adolescent students from the Northern KSA population, their ages ranging from 11 to 19 years old. Results: Of the 287 respondents, 56/287(19.5%) were found to be current smokers. Of the 56 current smokers, 14/52 (27%), 29/52 (55.8%), and 9/52 (17.2%) smoked 1-3, 4-10 and 11+cigarettes/day, respectively. For duration most had smoked for 26-36 months. Conclusions: The findings of the present study indicate that cigarette smoking use is still an important risk behavior among adolescent students. The findings of this study found a significant association of cigarette smoking usage and adolescents various believes and attitude for initiation of smoking and perception toward knowledge of other factors that contribute to the burden of tobacco use.

Functional consequences of hypothyroidism include impaired learning and memory and inability to produce long-term potentiation (LTP) in hippocampus. Olibanum has been used for variety of therapeutic purposes. In traditional medicine, oilbanum is used to enhance learning and memory. In the present study the effect of olibanum on memory deficit in hypothyroid rats was investigated. Male wistar rats were divided into four groups and treated for 180 days. Group 1 received tap drinking water while in group 2, 0.03% methimazol was added to drinking water. Group 3 and 4 were treated with 0.03% methimazole as well as 100 and 500 mg/kg olibanum respectively. The animals were tested in Morris water maze. The swimming speed was significantly lower and the distance and time latency were higher in group 2 compared with group 1. In groups 3 and 4 the swimming speed was significantly higher while, the length of the swim path and time latency were significantly lower in comparison with group 2. It is concluded that methimazole-induced hypothyroidism impairs learning and memory in adult rats which could be prevented by using olibanum.
