State filling dependent luminescence in hybrid tunnel coupled dot-well structures.
Mazur, Yuriy I,Dorogan, Vitaliy G,Ware, Morgan E,Marega, Euclydes,Benamara, Mourad,Zhuchenko, Zoryana Ya,Tarasov, Georgiy G,Lienau, Christoph,Salamo, Gregory J RSC Pub 2012 Nanoscale Vol.4 No.23
<P>A strong dependence of quantum dot (QD)-quantum well (QW) tunnel coupling on the energy band alignment is established in hybrid InAs/GaAs-In(x)Ga(1-x)As/GaAs dot-well structures by changing the QW composition to shift the QW energy through the QD wetting layer (WL) energy. Due to this coupling a rapid carrier transfer from the QW to the QD excited states takes place. As a result, the QW photoluminescence (PL) completely quenches at low excitation intensities. The threshold intensities for the appearance of the QW PL strongly depend on the relative position of the QW excitonic energy with respect to the WL ground state and the QD ground state energies. These intensities decrease by orders of magnitude as the energy of the QW increases to approach that of the WL due to the increased efficiency for carrier tunneling into the WL states as compared to the less dense QD states below the QW energy.</P>
Charge carrier mobility study of a mesogenic thienothiophene derivative in bulk and thin films
Mazur, L.,Castiglione, A.,Ocytko, K.,Kameche, F.,Macabies, R.,Ainsebaa, A.,Kreher, D.,Heinrich, B.,Donnio, B.,Sanaur, S.,Lacaze, E.,Fave, J.L.,Matczyszyn, K.,Samoc, M.,Wu, J.W.,Attias, A.J.,Ribierre, Elsevier Science 2014 Organic electronics Vol.15 No.4
A novel mesogenic 2,5-bis-(5-octylthiophene)-thieno[3,2b]thiophene (TT) derivative has been synthesized. The fused-ring thiophene, end-capped with two octylthiophenes, exhibits ordered lamellar mesophases which were characterized by polarizing optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and small-angle X-ray diffraction at various temperatures. The charge transport properties were investigated by time-of-flight technique as a function of temperature. On cooling from isotropic phase, a maximum hole mobility value of 0.07cm2V-1s-1 was measured in the highly ordered mesophase of the bulk films. Field-effect transistor experiments on both solution and vacuum deposited thin films have also been performed. The solution-processed films exhibit charge carrier mobilities several orders of magnitude lower than values extracted from bulk time-of-flight curves and from vacuum deposited thin film transistors. This work provides evidence that the melt-processing route is an efficient alternative to commonly used solution-processing for fabrication of charge transporting layers from liquid crystalline semiconductors, with performances comparable to evaporation techniques.
Theoretical basis for the stabilization of charges by radicals on electrified polymers
Mazur, T.,Grzybowski, B. THE ROYAL SOCIETY OF CHEMISTRY 2017 Chemical Science Vol.8 No.3
<P>Quantum mechanical calculations at various levels of theory indicate that charges (both '+' and '-') on organic polymers can be stabilized by radicals on nearby polymer chains. The stabilization mechanism is based on the formation of intermolecular odd-electron, two-center bonds with possible concomitant spin density redistribution (depending on the polymer and the number and type of proximal heteroatoms). This result is in line with our previous experimental demonstrations that on various types of polymers charged by contact electrification, radicals co-localize and help stabilize proximal charges (of either polarity). The principle of intramolecular charge-radical stabilization we now confirm on a fundamental level might have ramifications for the design of other macromolecular systems in which chemical reactivity is controlled by radicals flanking the charged groups or by charged groups flanking the radicals.</P>
Heterogeneous Catalysis “On Demand”: Mechanically Controlled Catalytic Activity of a Metal Surface
Mazur, Tomasz,Lach, Slawomir,Grzybowski, Bartosz A. American Chemical Society 2017 ACS APPLIED MATERIALS & INTERFACES Vol.9 No.51
<P>A metal surface passivated with a tightly packed self assembled monolayer (SAM) can be made catalytically active upon the metal's mechanical deformation. This deformation renders the SAM sparser and exposes additional catalytic sites on the metal's surface. If the deformation is elastic, return of the metal to the original shape 'heals' the SAM and nearly extinguishes the catalytic activity. Kelvin probe force microscopy and theoretical considerations both indicate that the catalytic domains 'opening up' in the deformed SAM are of nanoscopic dimensions.</P>
VALIDATING DART MODEL WITH DATA FROM THE SURVEY OF POLISH MANUFACTURING AND SERVICE COMPANIES
Jolanta Mazur,Piotr Zaborek 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2014 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2014 No.7
The article aims to quantitatively test the DART model, so far studied mostly with qualitative methods. A multiple measurement scale was employed in interviewing managers. The statistical evidence for adequacy of the model was obtained through CFA. The findings suggest that DART may not accurately reflect firms’ co-creation practices.

Where is the limit of Mis-selling?
Zofia Maria Mazur 국제금융소비자학회 2021 The International Review of Financial Consumers(IR Vol.6 No.1
Financial services are complex and sometimes can be difficult for even the most knowledgeable investors to understand, thus consumers are particularly susceptible to purchase the improper products which are often unethically offered by professionals. Consequently, should be avoided the situation in which professionals benefit from their inappropriate business behaviors. The serious cases of unfair conducts of financial market players have introduced and developed, for the first time in the United Kingdom, a new notion - Mis-selling, consisting of marketing and sales of financial, insurance, pension products and services to customers that do not meet their needs and financial profile. Gradually, such issue and the related legal regime was expanded and further developed in other countries. Mis-selling happens for several reasons, refers to every adult, assumes many forms, and as we could see, the financial crisis has exposed the failure of financial market regulators to identify and monitor systemic risk. The purposes of the paper are therefore to illustrate some of the professional misbehaviors, to present and compare different regulations on mis-selling and enforcement framework in Italy and in Poland and to assess their effectiveness.
