        Design of a Light and Small Dual-band Airborne Despun Optical System

        In aerial cameras, image quality is easily affected by weather, temperature, and the attitude of the aircraft. Aiming at this phenomenon, based on the theory of two-step zoom optical systems, a dual-band optical-despun two-step zoom optical system is designed. The system has a small field of view of 2.00° × 1.60°, and a large field of view of 4.00° × 3.20°. In the zoom process, the wavelength range is 0.45– 0.70 μm and 0.75–1.10 μm, and the size of the optical system is 168 mm (L) × 90 mm (W) × 60 mm (H). The overall lens weight is only 170.8 g, which has advantages for miniaturization and light weight. At the Nyquist frequency of 104 lp/mm, the modulation transfer function of the visible-light optical system is more than 0.44, and that of the near-infrared optical system is more than 0.30, both of which havegood imaging quality and tolerance characteristics in the range of −45 to 60 ℃.

        Overexpression of OsVP1 and OsNHX1 Increases Tolerance to Drought and Salinity in Rice

        Drought and salinity are major abiotic stresses affecting rice production. To improve plant tolerance to salinity and drought, we overexpressed rice Na+/H+ exchangers (OsNHX1) and H+-pyrophosphatase in tonoplasts (OsVP1) in a japonica elite rice cultivar, Zhonghua 11. Compared with our wild-type control, transgenic plants overexpressing both genes incurred less damage when exposed to long-term treatment with 100 mM NaCl or water deprivation. Under high-saline conditions, the transformants accumulated less Na+ and malondialdehyde in the leaves,thereby allowing the plants to maintain a low level of leaf water potential and reduce stress-induced damage. Those transgenics also had higher photosynthetic activity during the stress period. Under those conditions, they also showed an increase in root biomass, which enabled more water uptake. These results suggest that OsVP1 and OsNHX1 improve the tolerance of rice crops against drought and salt by employing multiple strategies in addition to osmotic regulation.

        The Steady‑state Analysis of DC Distribution Network Embedded Droop Control and Power Flow Controller

        Aiming at the DC distribution network based on the droop control, this paper proposes that the intersection of the internal characteristics of the node converter droop control and the external characteristics derived from the parameters of the DC distribution network is the actual node operation point. The quantitative relationship between the droop control characteristic parameters and the converter functions is discussed, and the comprehensive droop control characteristics of the multiconverter node is analyzed. The automatic adjustment method of droop control, containing the secondary adjustment and the third adjustment, is presented, and the power fow algorithm of DC distribution network, which considers the impact of power fow controller, droop control and automatic adjustment method, is derived. Finally, three cases about power fow controller, the secondary adjustment and the third adjustment are used to verify that droop control and its related regulation methods can optimize the operation conditions of DC distribution network.

        Effects of Fengliao-Changweikang in Diarrheapredominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome Rats and Its Mechanism Involving Colonic Motility

        Background/Aims This study was designed to investigate the effect of Fengliao-Changweikang (FLCWK) in diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) rats and explore its underlying mechanisms. Methods IBS-D model rats were induced by neonatal maternal separation (NMS) combined with restraint stress (RS). In in vivo experiments, the model rats were randomly divided into 5 groups: NMS + RS, FLCWK (low dose, middle dose, and high dose), and pinaverium bromide. The normal control (no handling) rats were classified as the NH group. The therapeutic effect of FLCWK was evaluated by fecal characteristics, electromyographic response and abdominal withdrawal reflex scores. In in vitro experiments, the model rats were randomly divided into 2 groups: NMS + RS, FLCWK (middle dose), and no handling rats were used as the NH group. The differences in basic tension and ACh-induced tension of isolated colonic longitudinal smooth muscle strips (CLSMs) among the 3 groups were observed. In addition, different inhibitors (nifedipine, TMB-8, L-NAME, methylene blue, and 4-AP) were pretreated to explore the underlying mechanisms. Results In in vivo experiments, fecal characteristics, electromyographic response, and abdominal withdrawal reflex scores significantly improved in the FLCWK group, compared with the NMS + RS group. In in vitro experiments, the basic tension and ACh-induced tension of CLSMs in IBS-D rats were significantly inhibited by FLCWK. After pre-treatment with different inhibitors, the ACh-induced tension of CLSMs in each group showed no significant difference. Conclusions FLCWK manifested curative effect in IBS-D rats by inhibiting colonic contraction. The underlying mechanisms may be related to regulatory pathway of nitric oxide/cGMP/Ca<sup>2+</sup> and specific potassium channels. (J Neurogastroenterol Motil 2018;24:479-489)
