Co3(PO4)2-Coated LiV3O8 as Positive Materials for Rechargeable Lithium Batteries
Ling-Ling Xie,Li-Qin You,Xiao-Yu Cao,Chao-Feng Zhang,Da-Wei Song,Ling-Bo Qu 대한금속·재료학회 2012 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.8 No.4
Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8 has been successfully synthesized and used as positive material for rechargeable lithium batteries by a facile liquid phase method. The as-prepared powders were characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and the galvanostatic discharge/charge experiments. As-prepared Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8 forms a good layered structure with a poor cyrstallinity. SEM reveals that Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8 has uniform particle distribution and reduced particle size when compared with bare one. The Co3(PO4)2 coating layer is about 33 - 59 nm forming a continuous lumps attached to LiV3O8 particle surface. Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8 electrode shows increased capacity and more stable cycling. The first and 35th discharge capacities of the Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8electrode are 322.8 mAh g−1 and 235.7 mAh g−1 in the range of 4.0 - 1.8 V at a current rate of 30 mA g−1, respectively. The improved electrochemical performance is assigned to the greatly reduced LiV3O8 particle with uniform morphology. Co3(PO4)2-coating further benefits the phase transitions of LiV3O8 during discharge/charge while preventing parasite reactions between electrode surface and electrolyte.
RELATION BETWEEN DEMYANOV DIFFERENCE AND MINKOWSKI DIFFERENCE OF CONVEX COMPACT SUBSETS IN $R^2$
Song, Chun-Ling,Xia, Zun-Quan,Zhang, Li-Wei,Li, Shu-Yang 한국전산응용수학회 2007 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.23 No.1
A necessary and sufficient condition for Demyanov difference and Minkowski difference of compact convex subsets in $R^2$ being equal is given in this paper. Several examples are computed by Matlab to test our result. The necessary and sufficient condition makes us to compute Clarke subdifferential by quasidifferential for a special of Lipschitz functions.
HIF-1α and GLUT1 Gene Expression is Associated with Chemoresistance of Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Aims: Much evidence suggests that increased glucose metabolism in tumor cells might contribute to the development of acquired chemoresistance. However, the molecular mechanisms are not fully clear. Therefore, we investigated a possible correlation of mRNA expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and GLUT1 with chemoresistance in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Methods: Bone marrow samples were obtained from newly diagnosed and relapsed AML (M3 exclusion) cases. RNA interference with short hairpin RNA (shRNA) was used to stably silence GLUT1 or HIF-$1{\alpha}$ gene expression in an AML cell line and HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and GLUT1 mRNA expression was measured by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction assay (qPCR). Results: High levels of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and GLUT1 were associated with poor responsiveness to chemotherapy in AML. Down-regulation of the expression of GLUT1 by RNA interference obviously sensitized drug-resistant HL-60/ADR cells to adriamycin (ADR) in vitro, comparable with RNA interference for the HIF-$1{\alpha}$ gene. Conclusions: Our data revealed that over-expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and GLUT1 might play a role in the chemoresistance of AML. GLUT1 might be a potential target to reverse such drug resistance.
Top-k Algorithm for User Preferences based on Selection Strategy
Song Jin-ling,Liu Guo-hua,Liu Hai-bin,Huang Li-ming,Wu Yun-long 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.9 No.3
In order to deal with multiple user preferences and improve query efficiency, selection strategy is adopted for top-k query to depress the compare operations. Firstly, the kth order statistics are selected randomly along with partitioning the data set basing on it, and the top-k result set can be received after several recursive partitions. Secondly, to select the kth order statistics accurately, the approximate kth order statistics is choose as threshold according to the similarity of user preference and system preference, and the top-k query result set can be accessed through simple comparison. Finally, the time complexities of presented algorithms are analyzed and their correctness and completeness are proved respectively. The experimental results show that our algorithms improve the efficiency of top-k query greatly.

Purpose: Life and Death education is an education that helps people to understand life and death correctly, values the present life, and allows them to live more meaningfully. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of life and death education on meaning of life, perception of death, attitude on terminating life support, and personality of nursing school students. Methods: The subjects of this study were college of nursing students, who was taking life and death classes at first year of college. The contents of classes were prepared referenced by the thanatology, and well-dying education. The education was consisted of 13 weeks and the contents were consisted with history of death education, the different definitions of death, the death problems of elderly, hospice care, life-sustaining treatment decision related act, death-related legal issue, the funeral culture, and bereavement management of family, meaning of life, and happiness and so on. For investigating the effect of the education, we investigated the meaning of life, attitude of death, perception of death, perception of hospice, attitude on terminating life support, concept of good death, and personality. The data were collected at two times that were at the beginning of the education, and after the education. For analyzing the results, we did pared-test analysis, using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: Total 142 students answered the questionnaires. After taking the life and death education, the meaning of life, perception of death, perception of hospice, attitude on terminating life support, concept of good death, and personality have been significantly changed. Conclusion: According to the results, life and death education can help the nursing students to build positive perception of death, meaning of life, and personality, thus life and death class is a necessary and important class for nursing school students.

Background: Several studies have previously focused on associations between the (GT)n repeat polymorphism of the heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) gene promoter region and risk of cancers, but results are complex. We conducted the present meta-analysis to integrate relevant findings and evaluate the association between HO-1(GT)n repeat polymorphism and cancer susceptibility. Materials and Methods: Published literature was retrieved from the PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE and ISI Web of Science databases before November 2013. For all alleles and genogypes, odds ratios were pooled to assess the strength of the associations using either fixed-effects or random-effects models according to heterogeneity. Subgroup analysis was conducted according to ethnicity and histopathology. Results: A total of 10 studies involving 2,367 cases and 2,870 controls were identified. The results showed there was no association between HO-1 (GT)n repeat polymorphism and the cancer risk both at the allelic and genotypic level. However, in the stratified analysis, we observed an increased risk of squamous cell carcinoma in persons carrying the LL genotype and the LL+LS genotype as compared with those carrying the SS genotype. When the LS and SS genotypes were combined, the odds ratio for squamous cell carcinoma in LL-genotype carriers, were also significantly increased. No publication bias was observed. Conclusions: The LL genotype and L-allele carrying genotypes (LL+LS) of HO-1 (GT)n repeat polymorphism are potential genetic factors for developing squamous cell carcinoma. More large and well-designed studies are required for further validations.
