In this paper an application of the Monte Carlo method to optimum circuit design is discussed. T.Tsuda and T.Kiyono's algorithm based on the Monte Carlo method for solving multiple simultaneous nonlinear equations is generalized to apply it to finding solutions of the constrained nonlinear optimization problem. The generalized algorithm derived here is directly applied to economical circuit design. In the cirsuit design, the object function is a cost function which is related to the cost of each circuit component. The constraint is the variance of the total system expressed by the variances of each circuit component. The design is to be determined so that the circuit has specified drift reliability with minimum cost. A practical example of economical circuit design and a general nonlinear function minimization is presented with good results.

A spread spectrum multiple access system is not only useful in military communication, but also is becoming important in the commercial applications. In this paper, a transmitter has been realized using direct sequence techniques for spread spectrum multiple access. The input signal is digitized through CVSD modulator, and differentially encoded. The encoded data is then modulo-2 added to the 15 stage PN Gold code. Since Gold code is well bounded and it has low cross correlations, it is often used in multiple access situation. The data rate is 32 Kbps, and the chip rate is 4 Mcps. Therefore, the processing gain is about 21 ㏈. The spread spectrum signal modulates the carrier at 70 ㎒. The power spectrum of the spread spectrum signal is identical to that of the PN Gold code, and the data can be well concealed by the PN Gold code.

반도체 소자의 모델에 대한 특성을 비교하고 체제적인 모데링 기법에 대하여 논하였다. 체계적인 모데링 기법을 이용한 FET의 선형 및 비선형 모델을 구하고 모델을 이용하여 과도해석하는 프로그램을 개발하였다. In this paper characteristics of the Ebers-Mull , charge control and Linvill iumped models are reviewed. A 1%eery for systematically modeling solid state device by F.A Lind helm and D. J. Hamilton is discussed in detail. Nonlinear and linear modeds for the junction field effect transistor are derived from the systematic modeling theory. Computer program for the transient analysis is develooped and application of the program to the RC amplifler shows guod results.
Pipeline Subranging 아날로그 - 디지탈 변환기에 관한 연구

In this thesis, the design of high speed pipeline subranging A/D converter is presented. The A/D converter has the subranging structure in which the 8 bits are partitioned into higher 4 bits and lower 4 bits. The pipeline method is utilized to maintain the conversion speed as fast as that of flash structure. The error correction circuit is added to detect and correct the errors within ±8 LSB error range that may be generated in the 1st comparator. The converter has been designed using a double metal 1.5 ㎛ BiCMOS technology of Samsung Electronics Co. The performance of designed converter was evaluated by using AWB(Analog Work Branch) and SPICE simulator. Results shows a conversion speed of higher than 20 ㎒ and dissipates 390 ㎽ with 5 V single power supply. Its differential nonlinearity error (DNL) is below 1 LSB and integrator nonlinearity error (INL) is below 3.2 LSB for ±2 LSB error detection range and below 2.4 LSB for ±4 LSB error detection range.
