<P>This paper describes two types of novel compact low-loss millimeter-wave filters using an overlay coplanar waveguide (OCPW) line for lowpass filters and an inverted overlay coplanar waveguide (IOCPW) line for bandpass filters with periodic defected ground structures (DGSs). The OCPW and IOCPW lines are utilized to reduce the conductor and the substrate dielectric loss of the transmission lines. Also, these lines can provide a wide impedance range by controlling the overlapped area. The DGSs implemented on the transmission line have the role of size reduction and harmonic suppression of the filters. The combination of transmission lines having suspended structures and DGSs can provide great potential in terms of compact size, band rejection property and low-loss characteristics. The proposed filters are fabricated by using a micromachining technology and their RF performances are measured and analyzed. One of the proposed filters is a lowpass filter with a five-section stepped impedance topology having a periodic high–low impedance section. In this filter, the low impedance section is composed of the OCPW line with dumbbell-shaped DGSs and its length can be reduced by 52.7% compared to the OCPW line without DGSs. The measured insertion loss of this filter is lower than 0.2 dB up to 9 GHz, and significant spurious bands are not observed up to 40 GHz, resulting in a wide stop band. The other work that is presented here deals with a pi-shaped bandpass filter. This filter consists of three high impedance sections and two low impedance sections, and the line length of the high impedance section can be reduced by using the IOCPW line with spiral-shaped DGSs. The measured center frequency of the fabricated filter is 19 GHz, and the passband loss is 2.3 dB at the measured center frequency. The use of DGSs on the transmission line also enables us to suppress effectively the third-order harmonic component at 57 GHz.</P>

오희문이 임진왜란이라는 전쟁 중에 기록한 일기인 『쇄미록』에는 전쟁 중의 생활상뿐만 아니라, 그가 보고 들은 정치, 경제, 사회의 모습이 담겨있다. 이 글에서는 그중에서도 전쟁 정보의 전달 양상에 주목하였으며, 대상 기간은 일본군의 침략 상황과 조선 조정의 대응, 명군의 구원군 파견 정보가 교차하던 전쟁 초기로 설정하였다. 이 기간 동안 오희문이 얻은 정보는 사실에 가까운 것이 많았고, 전달 속도도 빠른 편이었다. 이는 그가 가지고 있던 인적 관계망 덕분이었다. 오희문은 양반 관료 가문의 일원으로서, 오랜 기간에 걸쳐 만들어진 인적 관계망 속에 있었다. 그들은 자신이 얻은 정보를 서로 교환하고 있었다. 또한 그의 아들 오희문이 현직에 있으면서 중앙과 지방으로 연결되는 정보를 관리하고 있었다는 점이 중요하다. 정보는 문서 혹은 구두로 전달되었다. 『쇄미록』에 부록으로 실려 있는 문서들은 오희문에게 전달된 정보의 한 형태를 파악할 수 있게 한다. 전라ㆍ충청 지역에서 피난 생활을 하는 중에도, 오희문은 이러한 과정을 통해 의병의 결성과 활동, 정부의 전쟁 대응, 일본군의 움직임, 명군의 참전과 같은 전쟁 전반의 정보를 비교적 상세히, 그리고 사실에 가깝게 파악할 수 있었다. 한편 기밀에 가까운 정보임에도 공개적으로 유통되는 경우도 보이는데, 이중에는 특정한 여론을 불러일으키는 조선 정부의 의도가 개입되었을 가능성도 있다. Swaemirok is a diary recorded by Oh Hui-mun during the Imjin War(Japanese Invasion of Korea(1592-1598). This diary contains not only the life during the war, but also the political, economic, and social aspects he saw and heard. In this article, focused on the transmission of war information. The target period was in the early days of the war when the Japanese army invaded, the response of Joseon, and the dispatch of Ming troops to the relief army were delivered. During this period, Oh Hui-mun"s information was close to facts, and the delivery speed was fast. This was due to the human relations network he had. Oh Hui-mun, a member of the aristocratic(yangban) bureaucratic family, was in a long-standing network of human relations. They were exchanging information they had obtained. His son was in official position, managing information linking the central government to the provinces. The information was delivered either in writing or verbally. The documents in the Swaemirok as appendices allow us to identify a form of information passed to Oh Hui-mun. Through this process, Oh Hui-mun was able to grasp information about the entire war, such as the formation and activities of righteous army, government response to war, the movement of the Japanese army, and the participation of the Ming army. On the other hand, even though it is close to confidential information, it may be publicly circulated, and there is a possibility that the intention of the Joseon government, which evokes certain public opinion, was involved.

Reactions of thianthrene cation radical perchlorate (1) with N-(p-methoxyphenyl)benzenesulphonamide (14) in acetonitrile at room temperature afforded various products : thianthrene (3), N-(p-hydroxyphenyl)benzenesulphonamide (16), benzenesulphonamide (18), hydroquinone (20); 5-(5-benzenesulphonamido-2-methoxyphenyl)-thia nthrenium perchlorate(21), 2-benzenesulphonamido-2'-hydroxy-5,5'-dimethoxy biphenyl(24), 2-benzenesulphonamido-2',5'-dihydroxy-5-methoxy -biphenyl(25), and a traceable amount of p-quinone(23). The formations of part of (3) and (21) can be explained by either disproportionation or half-regeneration mechanism but those of the remainders by diverse reactions of sulphonamidyl radical (27) derived from (14) (through single electron transfer, followed by deprotonation processes). Similar results were observed from the reaction with N-(p-methoxyphenyl)methanesulphonamide (15).

<P>To achieve real-time monitoring of aerodynamic submicron particle size distributions at a point-of-interest, we developed a high-performance particle size spectrometer that is compact, low-cost, and portable. The present system consists of four key components: a unipolar mini-discharger for electrically charging particles, an inertial size-separator for classifying charged particles into five size fractions in terms of their aerodynamic sizes, a portable multi-channel electrometer for detecting femto-ampere currents carried by charged particles at each stage, and a retrieval algorithm for converting the current data into a smooth particle size distribution. The unipolar mini-discharger and inertial size separator were quantitatively characterised by using standard polystyrene latex (PSL) particles. The experimentally determined cut-off diameters at each stage in the inertial size separator were 1.17, 0.94, 0.71, 0.54, and 0.23 μm, respectively. Then, the system was compared with a commercial reference aerodynamic particle sizer (APS) in the environment where the number concentration and the average size of TiO2particles were changing. The present system resolved peak size and geometric standard deviation of particles to within 11.2%, and 6.3%, respectively, indicating that the system can be used to accurately monitor submicron particle size distributions in real time.</P>
후륜 서스펜션 부싱고무에 대한 정/동특성 해석 및 형상 설계

Static and dynamic FEM analysi was performed for the design of TCB which is used in rear suspension system of light-weight vehicle. Engineering sample was made and tested for static stiffness estimation. Dynamic analysis<br/> based on viscous-elasticity theory was done. Based on verified static/dynamic analysis results, system analysis of test vehicle's rear suspension was performed to check current ride performance and find optimum condition. The design of current TCB was modified to give optimized ride performance to test vehicle's rear suspension. Analysis of variance and orthogonal array was used to find optimized shape design of modified TCB.<br/>
