In this paper, indoor propagation characteristics are analyzed for various environments such as corridors, walls and corners at microwave band. In order to present the statistical model for indoor environments the loss factors of each case are obtained by linear regression analysis method with the function of logarithmic distance between transmitter and receiver. Comparisons of our predicted results to measurements indicate that improvements in accuracy over conventional statistical models are achieved.

In this paper, we present the formula to find field strength under the terrain configurations of the western area of Cheju. The reflection coefficients are obtained by several experiments and the propagation model which includes the terrain configurations and reflection coefficients are presented. To find the field strength for known terrain configurations. we use this model and reflection coefficients. This prediction model play an important role in planning cell site and service area in western area of Cheju.

In this paper. finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) method is employed to analyze a probe-fed cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna. The effect of various parameters on the characteristics of the DR antenna are studied. The impedance matching of the antenna can be accomplished by adjusting the position b and the length l of the coaxial probe. As ε_(r) is increased. the resonanat frequency decreases and the value of the input impedance increases.

In this paper, the printed dipole array antenna is designed and fabricated for an access point of wireless local area network(2.4-2.5 ㎓). After designing a half-wavelength end-fed microstrip patch, this patch is transformed to a center fed dipole antenna. The balun is designed to connect between a microstrip feed line and a radiation element and to obtain sufficient frequency bandwidth. In order to obtain the directivity characteristics and high gain, dipole element is arrayed vertically and attached a conductor reflector. Measuring result, the center frequency is 2.46㎓ and the bandwidth is 19.5%. The 3 ㏈ beamwidth of E-plane and H-plane are 24 and 60 degree, respectively.

In this paper. the rectangular dielectric resonant antenna(DRA) in the microstrip slot feed line is analyzed. Microstrip slot feed line parameters are calculated and then the microstrip slot feed line is designed by using the parameters. Also the rectangular DRA having a value of ε_(r) , = 37.84 is invented for the transmission frequency bandwidth in the range of 2.37GHz to 2.40GHz for WLL(Wire1ess Local Loop) base station. The result showed that the return loss was about -42dB and that radiation pattern was simular to magnetic dipole's. The resonant frequency of simulation result of rectangular DRA which was designed with the value of ε_(r)=37.84 was obtained an error of less than 3 percent in comparison with the theoretical resonant frequency.

In this paper. the rectangular dielectric resonant antenna(DRA) with the microstrip slot feed line is analyzed and fabricated. Microstrip slot feed line parameters are calculated and then the microstrip slot feed line is manufactured by FR-4. Also the rectangular DRA having a value of ε_(r) = 36 is fabricated for ISM(Industrial. Scientific, Medical) telecommunication operating in the range of 2.40GHz to 2.4835GHz. The measurement result had return loss of -44dB. It was -10dB lower than simulation's value with -33dB. Resonant frequency was measured at 2.44GHz.

Finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) method is employed to analyze the rectangular DRA. The return loss and resonant frequency are reported when the stub length of feedline, center position of DRA at λ/2 feed line and εr of DRA are changed. Also DRA in the microstrip feed line compared to DRA in the microstrip slot feed line. The result showed that DRA in the microstrip feed line is better than DRA in the microstrip slot feed line in the bandwidth and return loss.
