Effect of nonlocal-nonsingular Fractional Moore-Gibson-Thompson theory in semiconductor cylinder
Iqbal Kaur,Kulvinder Singh Techno-Press 2023 Advances in nano research Vol.15 No.4
This study is aimed to investigate the electrically conductive properties of epoxy nanocomposites exposed to an acidic environment under various mechanical loads. For simultaneous assessment of the acidic environment and mechanical load on the electrical conductivity of the samples, the samples with and without carbon nanotubes were exposed to the acidic environment under three different loading conditions for 20 days. Then, the aged samples' strength and flexural stiffness degradation under crude oil and bending stress were measured using a three-point flexural test. The aged samples in the acidic environment and under 80 percent of their intact ultimate strength revealed a 9% and 26% reduction of their electrical conductivity for samples with and without CNTs, respectively. The presence of nanoparticles declined flexural stiffness by about 16.39%. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of the specimen were used to evaluate the dispersion quality of CNTs. The results of this study can be exploited in constructing conductive composite electrodes to be used in petroleum environments such as crude oil electrostatic tanks.

This research deals with the study of the Thomson heating effect in magneto-thermoelastic homogeneous isotropic rotating medium, influenced by linearly distributed load and as a result of modified couple stress theory. The charge density is taken as a function of the time of the induced electric current. The heat conduction equation with energy dissipation and with hyperbolic two-temperature (H2T) is used to formulate the model of the problem. Laplace and Fourier transforms are used to solve this mathematical model. Various components of displacement, temperature change, and axial stress as well as couple stress are obtained from the transformed domain. To get the solution in physical domain, numerical inversion techniques have been employed. The Thomson effect with GN (Green-Nagdhi) -III theory and Modified Couple Stress Theory (MCST) is shown graphically on the physical quantities.
Thermoelastic damping in generalized simply supported piezo-thermo-elastic nanobeam
Iqbal Kaur,Parveen Lata,Kulvinder Singh 국제구조공학회 2022 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.81 No.1
The present paper deals with the application of one dimensional piezoelectric materials in particular piezo-thermoelastic nanobeam. The generalized piezo-thermoelastic theory with two temperature and Euler Bernoulli theory with small scale effects using nonlocal Eringen’s theory have been used to form the mathematical model. The ends of nanobeam are considered to be simply supported and at a constant temperature. The mathematical model so formed is solved to obtain the nondimensional expressions for lateral deflection, electric potential, thermal moment, thermoelastic damping and frequency shift. Effect of frequency and nonlocal parameter on the lateral deflection, electric potential, thermal moment with generalized piezothermoelastic theory are represented graphically using the MATLAB software. Comparisons are made with the different theories of thermoelasticity.
Reflection of plane harmonic wave in rotating media with fractional order heat transfer
Kaur, Iqbal,Lata, Parveen,Singh, Kulvinder Techno-Press 2020 Advances in materials research Vol.9 No.4
The aim of the present investigation is to examine the propagation of plane harmonic waves in transversely isotropic homogeneous magneto visco thermoelastic rotating medium with fractional order heat transfer and two temperature. It is found that, for two dimensional assumed model, there exist three types of coupled longitudinal waves (quasi-longitudinal, quasi-transverse and quasi-thermal) in frequency domain. phase velocities, specific loss, penetration depth, attenuation coefficients of various reflected waves are computed and depicted graphically. The effects of viscosity and fractional order parameter by varying different values are represented graphically.

The present investigation has focus on the study of deformation due to thermomechanical sources in a thick circular plate. The thick circular plate is homogeneous, transversely isotropic with two temperatures and without energy dissipation. The upper and lower surfaces of the thick circular plate are traction free. The Laplace and Hankel transform has been used for finding the general solution to the field equations. The analytical expressions of stresses, conductive temperature and displacement components are computed in the transformed domain. However, the resulting quantities are obtained in the physical domain by using numerical inversion technique. Numerically simulated results are illustrated graphically. The effects of two temperatures by considering different values of temperature parameters are shown on the various components. Some particular cases are also figured out from the present investigation.

The present research deals in two dimensional (2D) transversely isotropic magneto generalized thermoelastic solid without energy dissipation and with two temperatures due to time harmonic sources in Lord-Shulman (LS) theory of thermoelasticity. The Fourier transform has been used to find the solution of the problem. The displacement components, stress components and conductive temperature distribution with the horizontal distance are calculated in transformed domain and further calculated in the physical domain numerically. The effect of two temperature are depicted graphically on the resulting quantities.

The homogeneous thick circular plate in presence and absence of energy dissipation and two temperatures has been considered. Hankel transform is used for solving field equations. The analytical expressions of conductive temperature, displacement components, and stress components are computed in the transformed domain. The effects of frequency at different values are represented graphically. Some specific cases are also figured out from the current research.

The present research deals with the time-harmonic deformation in transversely isotropic magneto thermoelastic solid with two temperature (2T), rotation due to inclined load and laser pulse. Generalized theory of thermoelasticity has been formulated for this mathematical model. The entire thermo-elastic medium is rotating with uniform angular velocity and subjected to thermally insulated and isothermal boundaries. The inclined load is supposed to be a linear combination of a normal load and a tangential load. The Fourier transform techniques have been used to find the solution to the problem. The displacement components, stress components, and conductive temperature distribution with the horizontal distance are computed in the transformed domain and further calculated in the physical domain using numerical inversion techniques. The effect of angle of inclination of normal and tangential load for Green Lindsay Model and time-harmonic source for Lord Shulman model is depicted graphically on the resulting quantities.

This research is devoted to the study of plane wave propagation in homogeneous transversely isotropic (HTI) magneto-thermoelastic rotating medium with combined effect of Hall current and two temperature due to multi-dual-phase lag heat transfer. It is analysed that, for 2-D assumed model, three types of coupled longitudinal waves (quasi-longitudinal, quasi-transverse and quasi-thermal) are present. The wave characteristics like phase velocity, specific loss, attenuation coefficients, energy ratios, penetration depths and amplitude ratios of transmitted and reflected waves are computed numerically and illustrated graphically and compared for different theories of thermoelasticity. Some particular cases are also derived from this research.
