Spin-Lattice Relaxation in Pyridazine Perchlorate (C4H4N2)HClO4
Junko Hatori,K Tanigawa,S Ikehata,T Kato,Y Yoshida,Y. Mastuo,Z Czapla 한국물리학회 2007 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.51 No.2I
We have carried out dierential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements in order to investigate the change in the molecular dynamics accompaning by the phase transition at Tc = 343 K. We found that drastic decrease in the line width of the 1H-NMR absorption line was observed at Tc. Moreover, a decrease in the 1H spin-lattice relaxation time that accompanied the phase transition at 343 K was also observed. These results indicate that a re-orientational motion of the (C4H5N2)+ ion appears above Tc. In addition, an anomalously large thermal anomaly (10.6 kJ/mol) was observed at Tc. From these results, we deduced that the phase transition at 343 K was caused by the appearance of a re-orientational motion of the (C4H5N2)+ ion.
Machine-learning-based approach to improve the positioning accuracy of large industrial robots
K. Yoshitsugu,D. Kato,T. Hirogaki,E. Aoyama,K. Takahashi 제어로봇시스템학회 2020 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2020 No.10
In this study, a system to reproduce the positional relationship of two flanges to be connected using an industrial robot and enable the manufacturing of the connecting pipes was developed. The objective was to ensure that the robot can exhibit a high absolute positioning accuracy even when trained offline so as to reproduce the space accurately. The error in various postures of the robot was measured using a laser tracker, and the servo information was simultaneously acquired by using the OpenNR-IF framework. The relationship between the positioning error and servo information was examined. It was noted that the relationship between multiple parameters such as the joint angle obtained as the servo information was highly complex. Therefore, the random forest approach was employed in machine learning to examine these relationships. Subsequently, the positioning error was predicted based on each parameter and corrected. Although the correction was inadequate, the mechanism to select the data to enhance the prediction accuracy was clarified, and several relevant key parameters were identified.

We investigate the ^(17)O(n,γ)^(18)O capture reaction cross section at the astrophysical energy using a microscopic ^(16)O+n+n model. The data of this reaction cross section for the s-process nucleosynthesis becomes important. The ^(17)O(n,γ)^(18)O reaction cross section is not measured by the experiment, because the natural abundance of 17O is the 0.038%. We consider that it is necessary to estimate the ^(17)O(n,γ)^(18)O reaction cross section by a theoretical approach. In this paper, we apply the available wave function obtained by the microscopic ^(16)O+n+n model to the estimation of the ^(17)O(n,γ)^(18)O reaction cross section.
Wear mechanisms and applications
KATO, K ENGINEERING TRIBOLOGY RESEARCH INSTITUTE KYUNGPOOK 1998 INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON HIGH PERFORMANCE OF TRI Vol.1998 No.-
Following a brief review of our understanding of the present and future needs of wear control in some industrial applications, the paper outlines the development of the wear theory of metals, especially mechanical wear and tribochemical wear. Metals are chosen as good traditional materials for illustrating the historical development leading to our present understandings of wear mechanisms. The four empirical wear laws are confirmed and the expressions for the various types of wear are explained. The mechanisms of representative wear modes in mechanical wear are then explained, supported with recent results, ro form a foundation for various other types of wear. Finally, the good progress in our understanding of wear mechanisms in the past 40 years is confirmed and outstanding problems are discussed.

<P>We present the results of a search in the Super-Kamiokande (SK) detector for excesses of neutrinos with energies above a few GeV that are in the direction of the track events reported in IceCube. Data from all SK phases (SK-I through SK-IV) were used, spanning a period from 1996 April to 2016 April and corresponding to an exposure of 225 kiloton-years. We considered the 14 IceCube track events from a data set with 1347 livetime days taken from 2010 to 2014. We use Poisson counting to determine if there is an excess of neutrinos detected in SK in a 10 degrees search cone (5 degrees for the highest energy data set) around the reconstructed direction of the IceCube event. No significant excess was found in any of the search directions we examined. We also looked for coincidences with a recently reported IceCube multiplet event. No events were detected within a +/- 500 s time window around the first detected event, and no significant excess was seen from that direction over the lifetime of SK.</P>

<P>We have searched for proton decays into a charged antilepton (e(+), mu(+)) plus a meson (eta, rho(0), omega) and for neutron decays into a charged antilepton (e(+), mu(+)) plus a meson (pi(-), rho(-)) using Super-Kamiokande I-IV data, corresponding to 0.316 megaton . years of exposure. This measurement updates the previous published result by using 2.26 times more data and improved analysis methods. No significant evidence for nucleon decay is observed and lower limits on the partial lifetime of the nucleon are obtained. The limits range from 3 x 10(31) to 1 x 10(34) years at 90% confidence level, depending on the decay mode.</P>
Characteristics of Carrier-generated Field-effect Transistors with Pentacene/Vanadium Pentoxide
M. Minagawa,K. Nakai,A. Baba,K. Shinbo,K. Kato,F. Kaneko,이천 한국물리학회 2011 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.58 No.51
In this paper, the driving mechanism of carrier-generated organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) with pentacene and vanadium pentoxide (V_2O_5) layers is discussed. In this study, large on-currents were observed in an OFET with a 35-nm V_2O_5 layer. Devices with aluminum (Al)/pentacene/V_2O_5/Al layer structures were also prepared. These devices exhibited a large current density in spite of their high carrier injection barriers between each layer and the Al electrodes. Moreover, new absorption bands corresponding to the radical cation absorption of pentacene were observed within the absorption spectrum of the pentacene and V_2O_5 mixed layers. It was inferred that the charge transfer (CT) complexes that formed at the interface between the pentacene and V_2O_5 layers were dissociated by the applied gate voltage and that the generated holes contributed to driving the OFETs.

A project on the comprehensive nuclear data research for the development of the advanced reactor systems had been executed successfully by eight organizations from 2005 to 2009. In this project, we constructed a pulsed neutron beamline that was aimed to obtain neutron capture cross-sections of long-lived fission products and minor actinides accurately. The energy spectra, spatial distributions, and pulses of the beam were studied by measurements and simulation calculations, and they were found to be consistent with those of the beamline design. In this paper, we present the overview of the project and the properties of the neutron beam provided by this beam line.
