중성자 영상법을 이용한 Heat Pipe 내의 이상유동 가시화

The circular and flat heat pipe were experimentally investigated by using neutron imaging technique. This experimental study was performed at the DINGO of OPAL research reactor, Australia. The diameter of the circular heat pipe is 10 mm and the dimension of flat is 10(width) × 3(thickness) mm2, respectively. We used the distilled water as a coolant. The coolant distributions and 2-phase flow patterns were measured under heating conditions. Experimental results show that neutron imaging technique is a good tool to visualize the 2-phase flow and phenomena in the heat pipe. The coolant distributions and 2-phase flow patterns depend on installation posture of the heat pipe and volume ratio of the coolant. Finally, it was discussed to calculate the void fraction by neutron imaging technique.

To investigate the method of the simultaneous reduction of Sout and Nox, we developed a new conception for dual stratified injection system in a Diesel Engine. Some parts of the injection system, ie. nozzle holder, delivery vale, were remolded to inject diesel and methanol in order from one injector. The quanity of diessel and methanol was controlled precisely by micrometers that were mounted at control tack of injection pump. The real injection quantity ratio of dual fuel was certificated by volumetric ratio at injection quantity experiment. We could confirm the capability that soot and NOx simultaneously were reduced by diesel-methanol stratified injection from the results of combustion and exhaust characteristic.

Natural gas is one of the promising altemative fuels because of the abundant deposits and the cleanness of emission gas. CNG has a lot of merits except lower buming speed has a slow disadvantage. One way to overcome the disadvantage is to raise a turbulence intensity. We give various intake for changing turbulence intensity in the cylinder by three kinds of swirl control valve with a way to raise a turbulence intensity. In the present study, a 1.8 ℓ conventional gasoline engine is modified to use a CNG as a fuel instead of gasoline. We try to verify combustion and emission characteristics in each engine parameters. Parameters of experimentation are equivalence ratio, spark timing and intake flow change. The results of this study are as follows. In the case of adding swirl flow, burning speed and torque are increased. But NOx and THC concentration are increased a little respectively.
