Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), a member of the genus Begomovirus, is one of the most important viruses of cultivated tomatoes worldwide, mainly causing yellowing and curling of leaves with stunting in plants. TYLCV causes severe problems in sub-tropical and tropical countries, as well as in Korea. However, the mechanism of TYLCV infection remains unclear, although the function of each viral component has been identified. TYLCV C4 codes for a small protein involved in various cellular functions, including symptom determination, gene silencing, viral movement, and induction of the plant defense response. In this study, through yeast-two hybrid screenings, we identified TYLCV C4-interacting host proteins from both healthy and symptom-exhibiting tomato tissues, to determine the role of TYLCV C4 proteins in the infection processes. Comparative analyses of 28 proteins from healthy tissues and 36 from infected tissues showing interactions with TYLCV C4 indicated that TYLCV C4 mainly interacts with host proteins involved in translation, ubiquitination, and plant defense, and most interacting proteins differed between the two tissues but belong to similar molecular functional categories. Four proteins-two ribosomal proteins, S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine hydrolase, and 14-3-3 family protein-were detected in both tissues. Furthermore, the identified proteins in symptom-exhibiting tissues showed greater involvement in plant defenses. Some are key regulators, such as receptor-like kinases and pathogenesis-related proteins, of plant defenses. Thus, TYLCV C4 may contribute to the suppression of host defense during TYLCV infection and be involved in ubiquitination for viral infection.
Bottom-up Recovery Scheme of Multilayer Network based on Root-Cause Analysis

For self-healing network, it is essential to deploy coordinated recovery scheme among several layers in multilayer network. By doing root-cause analysis of failures, network recovery function can be performed in the origin layer causing other failures on several layers, and as a result of this recovery function, the damage like service interruption can be prevented or minimized. This paper proposes multilayer network recovery scheme and policy, in which root-cause analysis is integrated with hold-off time of bottom-up recovery scheme.

기존 인터넷의 경직화 문제를 위한 장기적인 해결책으로 가상화 기술이 각광받고 있다. 많은 기관에서 가상화 기반의 미래 인터넷 테스트-베드와 연구 프로젝트들을 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ICT(Information and Communications Technology) 환경에서의 통합 자원을 관리하는 미래 인터넷의 가상화 플랫폼을 구축하였으며, 실험-중심 연구를 위하여 가상네트워크와 가상서버로 구성되는 슬라이스 생성의 실현성을 확인하였다. Network virtualization has been concerned as long term solution for ossification problem of Internet. Many organizations have been carrying out test-bed and research projects of future Internet based on virtualization. In this paper, we built up virtualization platform managing integrated resources in ICT environment and checked out the feasibility of slice consisting of virtual network and virtual server for experiment-centric research.
Study of WSN Management Protocol with Message Aggregation

According to the distribution of manager and agent, we reviewed management configurations for the hierarchical WSN (Wireless Sensor Network). Based on the management configurations and .existing management protocols, we defined WSN management protocol with message aggregation mechanism, which could allow cluster head to reduce management traffic to coordinator. We implemented our proposed WSN management protocol in commercial sensor nodes and analyzed the aggregation effect of management messages.
