We describe the Haagerup tensor product ${\ell}^{\infty}{\otimes}_h{\ell}^{\infty}$ and the extended Haagerup tensor product ${\ell}^{\infty}{\otimes}_{eh}{\ell}^{\infty}$ in terms of Schur product maps, and show that ${\ell}^{\infty}{\otimes}_h{\ell}^{\infty}{\cap}\mathbb{B}({\ell}^2)$(resp. ${\ell}^{\infty}{\otimes}_{eh}{\ell}^{\infty}{\cap}\mathbb{B}({\ell}^2)$) coincides with $c_0{\otimes}_hc_0{\cap}\mathbb{B}({\ell}^2)$(resp. $c_0{\otimes}_{eh}c_0{\cap}\mathbb{B}({\ell}^2)$). For $C^*2$-algebras A, B, it is shown that $A{\otimes}_hB=A{\otimes}_{eh}B$ if and only if A or B is finite-dimensional.

Wide Range Multi-level DC-DC Converter with TCM for High Voltage Applications

This paper proposes a control method based on Triangular Current Mode (TCM) for a Current-Fed Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converter, which uses a three-level flying capacitor converter in order to accept high voltage(1500V) output. The proposed control method achieves the high-efficiency region in a wide operation range. Additionally, the proposed control performs the Zero Voltage Switching in a wide operation range. Also, the TCM is controlled at a variable frequency to keep the negative current constant. As a result, the operation range is limited because the switching frequency of the power converter is often applied to several kilo-Hz in high-power applications. In order to solve this problem, this paper also proposes that the full-bridge and half-bridge operation is adopted using the multi-level flying capacitor configuration. In the experimental results, the operation range of the proposed control is extended by 70% compared to that of the conventional Current-Fed DAB converter.
NEAR-INFRARED WIDE-FIELD IMAGING CAMERA WITH PtSi 1040 $\times$ 1040 CSD

We have constructed a near-infrared imaging camera which is attached to the prime focus of 105cm Schmidt telescope at Kiso Observatory. The camera is equipped with a 1040$\times$1040 PtSi CSD array developed by Mitsubishi Electric Co. The combination of Kiso Schmidt and the array gives a wide field of view of 18.4'$\times$18.4' with a reasonable spatial resolution of 1.06' /pixel. The system performances of the camera have been evaluated through laboratory and observational tests. Low noise, good cosmetics(no defect pixels), and good stability of the camera system show an excellent performance for astronomical use.

For precise property control of sintered products, it is important to understand accurately the packing density of the powder. We developed a packing simulation program that could make a packed bed of spherical particles having particle size distribution. In addition, the influence of the particle shape of the actual powder on the packing density was quantitatively analyzed. The predicted packing densities corresponded well to the actual data.
MULTI-COLOR PHOTOMETRY OF NEARBY GALAXIES

We have started multi-color imaging program of nearby galaxies since last year and present preliminary result here. We selected 12 nearby galaxies classfied from E to Sab type and observed in BVRIJHK' bands. Photomtric parameters such as isophotal diameter, axial ratio, isophotal magnitude were measured and observed colors were compared with theoritical model. We find a standard evolution model agrees well with observed results.

Purpose: We conducted a prospective single-center study to evaluate the possibility of discontinuation of dutasteride after combination therapy with an alpha blocker for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Materials and Methods: We prospectively treated BPH patients with an alpha blocker and dutasteride (0.5 mg/d). Patients who had been treated with alpha blockers against BPH for more than 2 months were eligible, and 20 patients were included in the study. After 6 months of combination therapy, dutasteride was discontinued. Patients were followed for 12 months after cessation. Prostate volume, intraprostatic architecture determined by transrectal ultrasound, peak urinary flow rate, postvoid residual urine volume, and the serum prostate-specific antigen level were evaluated every 6 months, and the International Prostate Symptom Score and overactive bladder symptom score (OABSS) every 3 months. Patients were allowed to restart dutasteride during the follow-up period according to their desire. Results: Twelve patients (12/20, 60%) restarted the combination therapy from 6 to 12 months into the follow-up period. For patients who restarted dutasteride, the prostate volume and OABSS had increased and worsened after discontinuation, respectively. A visible transition zone with a clear border on transrectal ultrasound at baseline and regrowth of the prostate after discontinuation of dutasteride were risk factors for restarting the therapy (Mann-Whitney U test: p=0.008, p=0.017). Conclusions: Prostatic enlargement after discontinuation of dutasteride differs among patients. Rapid regrowth of the prostate leads to deterioration of storage symptoms and a tendency to restart dutasteride. Baseline intraprostatic architecture may be a predictive factor for whether the patient is a good candidate for discontinuation.
Effects of Electric Field on Raman Spectra in SrTi16O3 and SrTi18O3

Proton ordering phase transition of ice crystal was studied by Raman pectroscopy. The difference of the vibrational modes between Ih and XI phase were detected for the rst time in the translation region and in the libration region. Below Tc(= 72K), in the translation region a new intense peak was observed at 236 cm1 and the peak at 315 cm1 in Ih phase shifted to 325 cm1. In the libration region several new peaks were observed. Assignments of these modes are discussed from the polarization dependence.
Sphingomonas jejuensis sp. nov., Isolated from Marine Sponge Hymeniacidon flavia

A Gram-negative, non-motile, rod shaped, and orange-pigmented chemoheterotrophic bacterium, strain MS-31^T was isolated from the marine sponge Hymeniacidon flavia, collected from near Jeju Island, Korea. The Strain MS-31^T was subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic study. The phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that the novel isolate could be affiliated within the genus Sphingomonas. The strain MS-31^T showed 95.6% of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with the most closely related species Sphingomonas koreensis JSS26T. The DNA G+C content of the strain MS-31^T was 69.4 mol%. The major isoprenoid quinone was ubiqunone 10 and predominant cellular fatty acids were summed feature 7 (comprising C_(18:1) ω7c, C_(18:1) ω9t and/or C_(18:1) ω12t, 39.7%), C_(16:0) (16.3%), C_(14:0) 2OH (15.9%) and summed feature 3(comprising C_(16:1) ω7c and/or C_(15:0) iso 2OH, 11.7%). The polar lipids were sphingoglycolipid, phosphatidylethanolamine,phosphatidylglycerol, diphosphatidylglycerol and unidentified glycolipid. Based on the evidence from the polyphasic taxonomic study, the strain should be classified as a new species of the genus Sphingomonas. As a result, the name Sphingomonas jejuensis sp. nov. (type strain MS-31^T =KCTC 23321^T =NBRC 107775^T)is proposed.
