In this present paper, simple water quality evaluation method using Korean benthic macroinvertebrate 29 systematic groups was proposed from data matrix investigated by authors etc. at 613 sampling units in Korean streams and lakes since 1971. The evaluation of water quality criteria by this method showed identity of 63% in 378 sampling to chemical evaluation. Also we proposed the quantitative index named Yoon-Kong`s GPI (Group pollution index) and this index showed correlation coefficient over 0.9 to Pantle-Buck`s saprobic index S and Yoon-Kong`s Total Biotic Score, TBS.
저서성 (底棲性) 대형무척추동물에 (大型無脊椎動物) 의한 금호강 (琴湖江) 수계의 (水系) 생물학적 수질평가

Keumho river is flowing across Taeku city, which is α-mesosaprobic according to annual and situal average level. Sillyong stream inflowing to upper branch is β-mesosaprobic, and Omok stream is α-mesosaprobic, and Namchon, Pulno, and Palkye stream were polysaprobic, respectively. Then, these streams impact on main branch. But Tonghwa stream is a little clean and dilutes a very polluted middle main branch. Among them, Namchon, Pulno, Pakye, and lower main branch are polysaprobic zones with McNaughton`s dominance DI above 0.8, Kno¨pp`s B.E.O.L. above 90, Pantle-Buck`s S above 3.2, Beck-Tsuda`s BI below 10, Shannon`s diversity below 1.5, Yoon-Kong`s TBS below 30. Therefore these zones seem to be target area to be ameliorated in Keumho basin. In the fluctuation of biotic indices, B.E.O.L., Saprobic index S, SI, dominance DI in last season of 1990 were lower than those in same period of 1991, but diversity H`, BI, and TBS were higher.
대장암 주변에서 관찰되는 백색반점의 병리조직학적 특성과 임상적 의의

Background/Aims: To investigate the difference between colorectal adenocarcinomas with white spots (foamy cells) and those without white spots, clinically and histopathologically, were examined 37 cases of colorectal adenocarcinomas were classified in this study. Methods: Two groups: those with white spots and those without. In each case, evidence of lymph node and liver metastasis was sought. Immunoreactive staining for macrophage was performed. Results: Increased incidence of exophytic tumors was found (73%, p=0.028) in the group with white spots. The incidences of lymph node metastasis were 33% vs. 45% between the group with white spots and the group of without, but the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusions: These results suggested that foamy cells might have a beneficial role in colorectal cancer, although they were not statistically significant. Therefore, further prospective study be warranted.

한국산 풍뎅이붙이과에 대한 문헌의 조사와 1979년부터 남한에서 채집한 표본 및 타기관 소장표본 등 2,000여 개체를 검토하였다. 과거의 기록은 heyden(1887) 이후 최근까지 5아과 16속 43종이었다. 표본의 조사 결과 1아과,2속,3종, 1아종이 새로 밝혀졌으며, 총 6아과 46종에 대한 檢索表, 硏究史, 分??地 등을 열거하였다. 또한 수컷 재료가 있는 23종은 Korean hister beetles had been recorded 43 species from about 40 local faunistic reports and we newly found three species and one subspecies, Notodoma fungorum, Dendrophilus xavieri Hetaerius optatus, and Hypocaccus varians hastsune within about 2,000 examples collected from South Korea since 1979. Total examined taxa of the samples are 31 species of 17 genera in 6 subfamilies and they are explained by the key, recording history, localities and others. And the male aedeagus of 23 species are taken the photos with stereo electron microscope.

한국산 물방개과 중에서 Hydroporinae(알물방개아과)에 속한 5속 6종이 채집 정리되었다. 이중 Coel-ambus chinensis Sharp(가는줄물방개:신칭), Potamonectes hostilis(sharp) (혹외줄물방개:신칭)와 Neonectes natrix(Sharp) (노랑무늬물방개:신칭)는 한국미기록종이다. Hyphydrus japonicus Sharp Guignetus japonicus(Sharp) Coelambus chinensis Sharp Potamonectes simplicipes(Sharp) Potamonectes hostilis(Sharp) Neonectes natrix(Sharp). A Taxonomic Study of the Caddisfly Larvae in Korea (II) - Rhyachophilidae, Glossosomatidae -

본 연구에서는 Rhyacophilidae 상과 내에 속하는 유충을 외부 형태학적인 특징에 따라 분류하였으며, 그 결과 4속 17종을 학인 하였다. 이 중 R. sibirica. R. clemens, R. kuramana, R. shikotsuensis등 4종은 한국 미기록 종으로 본 논문에서 처음으로 추가되었다. In the present work the authors dealt with two families-Rhyacophilidae, Glossosomatidae-which ard included in Rhyacophiloidea and classified 15 species in Rhyacophilidae, 2 species in Glossosmatidae. Among them Rhycophila sibirica, Rhyacophila clemens, Rhyacophila kuramana, Rhyacophila shikotsuensis the first record in Korea.

한국산 왕잠자리 상과(Superfamily Aeshnoidea) 곤충의 성충에 대해서는 Okumura(1937), Asahina(1939), Cho(1969), Obana(1972), Miyazaki(1986) 등에 의해 현재까지 2과 17속 33종이 기록되어 왔으나 유충에 대해서는 거의 그 기록을 찾아볼 수 없다. 뿐만 아니라 성충에 대한 다수의 기록종 역시 국내외 문헌의 분포난에서만 언급되어 있는 경우가 많아 정밀한 검사가 요구되어왔다. 본 연구는 1971년 9월부터 1989년 6월까지 남한의 173여개 지역에서 채집된 유충표본과, 실험실 사육에서 얻어진 성충표본의 동정 및 분류를 통해 총 2과 15속 22종을 확인하고 이 결과를 재정리하였다. Thirty three species of Aeshnoidea have been described from Korea in their adult stages. Larvae of twenty two species collected in South Korea including an uncertain species Anax KUa are described and figured in this paper. Described genera are following; Anisegomphus, Stylurus, Gomphus, Burmagomphus, Trigomphus, Davidius, Onychogomphus, Ophiogomphus, Nihonogomphus, Sieboldius, Gomphidia, and Ictinogomphus in Gomphidae; Aeschnophlebia, Aeshna, and Anax in Aeshnidae.

한국산 물방개과 중에서 등줄물방개아과(Colymbetinae)와 물방개붙이아과(Dytiscinae)에 속하는 10속 21종이 채집정리되었다. 이중 Agabus (Gaurodytes) browni Kamiya(갈색땅콩물방개 : 신칭)는 한국미기록종이며 Hydaticus (Guignotites) pacificus Aube (큰알락물방개 : 신칭)는 한국에서 처음으로 기재되었다. The Colymbetinae and Dytiscinae among the Korean Dytiscidae is studied 10 genera 21 species including 1 unrecorded species Agabus (Gauyodytes) browni Kamiya and 1 undescribed species Hydaticus (Guignotites) pacificus Aube in this paper.
