In the current life, the Internet is playing a key role in transferring diverse information. As the performance of the Internet has been growing, transferred information has the form of multimedia streams such as video and audio. However, in current computing and internet environment, multimedia streaming service can't be accomplished smoothly due to the various factors such as internet bandwidth, computing power and so on. In this paper, we are proposing an efficient system, called SMART (Server for Multimedia Applications for Residence community) including hardware and software in terms of the design concept and system architecture for the multimedia streaming service. We also present the implementation result for the system.
BIOCHEMICAL ASPECTS OF METHANE PRODUCTION FROM CO_2/H_2

Biological methane production, which produces methane from carbon dioxide and hydrogen is being examined as an alternative process for solving global warming and the diminishing supply of fossil fuels. In the article, we have reviewed a large body of the recent work regarding the biochemical aspects of methanogens used to increase the productivity of this biological methane production. In this review we included explanations on which routes carbon dioxide is reduced into methane, the enzyme and coenzyme involving the CO_2-reducing pathway, the synthesis of the methanogen cellular materials, and the mechanism of ATP.
DC 서버를 위한 무정전 전원 공급장치 결합형 전원분배장치

본 논문은 기존의 데이터센터의 전력 인프라의 변화를 최소화 하며 전력효율을 극대화 할 수 있는 고효율 DC UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) 결합형 전원분배장치의 구현과 설계에 관한 내용이다. 본 논문이 제안한 노드 준위 UPS 결합형 전원분배장치(uPDB)는 서버의 전원 공급장치(PSU)와 UPS를 대체할 수 있으며 전력효율은 최대 97%에 이른다. 또한 uPDB를 사용한 데이터센터의 전력효율은 기존의 고효율 AC 데이터센터 전력전달효율 보다 최고 부하에서 2%, 낮은 부하에서는 10% 향상된 전력효율을 나타내며, AC 전력전달 기반의 데이터센터 전력 인프라를 변경하지 않고 데이터센터 준위 DC 전력전달방식에 근접한 높은 전력효율을 제공할 수 있다. This paper presents the highly efficient rack-level DC power architecture combined with nodelevel DC UPS. Proposed system, uPDB can replace PSU and UPS system and provide almost power efficiency of 97% without any changing exsiting power infrastructures. Data center power efficiency using uPDB system is higher 2%~5% at maximum load and 10%~15% at low load than high efficient AC data center. Proposed uPDB system can provide high power efficiency nearly up to data center level DC power delivery system without changing AC power delivery infrastructure.
