Application of Sealing Tape to Delay a Cold Joint on Asphalt Pavement

Asphalt pavement is covered over 90% of Korea road network. There are various causes for damage to asphalt pavement such as crack, stripping, and joints et al. A longitudinal joint occurs in an asphalt pavement when a new batch of hot-mix asphalt (HMA) is laid adjacent to an existing lane for maintenance of asphalt road. It is required to pave the width of a road in multiple lanes because paving the full width of the pavement in a single pass is usually impossible. The durability of longitudinal joints in asphalt pavements is strongly related with the pavement service life. This longitudinal joint is generated attachment sites where the old pavement surface and the new pavement surface are adhered to each other. In the short period of time, early cracks are generated due to the adherence failure of the new and old pavement. Rainwater penetrates into cracks at the time of rainfall. The cracks are enlarged to be connected by labeling and pothole generation, resulting in durability of the pavement deterioration of its service life. Therefore, there is a desperate need for a preventive material that can prevent the expansion of cracks in the longitudinal joint. Compare performance sealing tape with tack coating material, the research team is adopted freeze-thaw and wheel tracking loading test methods. The sealing tape shows the better performance than tack coating material under traffic loading and freeze-thawing test.

This paper introduces a study on the design improvement of the NVH reinforcement rails of the rear subframe, a vehicle suspension component. The NVH reinforcement rails directly reduce excessive behavior of parts in certain modes in which the NVH problem occurs in the vehicle. The rear subframe is a heavy component and requires an optimal design in terms of the weight and performance of the NVH reinforcement rail to improve NVH performance of the vehicle. In this paper, the performance and weight of the NVH reinforcement rail were optimized, and the effect of the improvement design was verified in terms of its natural frequency.

본 논문은 디스플레이용 OLED의 제작 공정에 사용하는 레이저 박리(laser lift-off, LLO) 장비의 선형빔 광학계에 대한 연구로서, M<sup>2</sup>가 큰 레이저를 사용하는 경우, 단축의 선폭을 작게 만들면서 공정심도를 깊게 유지하기 위한 빔 변환 모듈(beam transformation unit, BTU)을 포함한 광학계에 대한 연구를 진행하였고, 단축 형상을 슈퍼 가우시안으로 만들 수 있는 방법과 flat-top 분포로 만들 수 있는 광섬유를 사용하는 빔 변환 방식에 대하여 제시하였다. This paper reports the study of the line-beam optical system of the laser lift-off (LLO) equipment used in the OLED manufacturing process. To obtain both a long process depth and a narrow width of the line beam, even with the poor M<sup>2</sup> value of the laser source, the research is focused on the optical system, including the beam transformation unit (BTU). We also propose optical configurations for the super-Gaussian distribution and the fiber-based BTU for the flat-top distribution.

본 논문에서는 하나의 입력 사진과 입력 음성으로부터 사실적인 말하는 얼굴을 생성하는 모델을 소개한다. 이 모델은 얼굴 특징점을 중간 표현으로 사용하여 음성과 얼굴 생성 사이의 연결한다. 이를 통해 효율적인 encoder 및 decoder를 구성할 수 있다. 또한 여기서 제안한 StyleGAN에 기반한 구조인 StyleUNet은 입력정보의 skip-connection을 통해 더 사실적인 영상을 생성할 수 있다.

Subframe used in rear-wheel chassis of automobiles has target stiffness values for each behavior mode in order to have the desired handling and NVH performance required during driving. In this study, to facilitate design, there are the main factors affecting increase and decrease of frequency in each mode of the natural frequency among the various shape design factors of the product. Also, the frequency sensitivity of the factors compared to the change of weight is derived by reflecting the weight caused by the change of factor’ level in the sensitivity of the main design factors.

Subframes used in rear-wheel chassis of automobiles have target stiffness values for each behavior mode in order to have the handling and NVH performance required to drive. In this study, to analyze the influence of each part composing the product on natural frequency, we divided the product named subframe into several sub-parts and panels. Then, the values were derived through the natural frequency analysis of the product in various cases where the thickness of the sub-parts and panels was changed. Finally, the influence of sub-parts and panels on the product’s natural frequency was analyzed using the the taguchi method, and the process and conclusion were shown. This study can help to design the stiffness of the subframe.

<P>In this study, we developed functionalized iron oxide nanoparticles for brain tumor targeting. The iron oxide (Fe3O4) particles were stabilized with pluronic F127 and coupled with dopamine-terminated Y-shaped ligands (Tat peptide and transferrin) as a result of the noncovalent conjugation of dopamine (of Y-shaped ligands) and the iron oxide nanoparticles. Here, the hydrophobic domain of pluronic F127 coated on the iron oxide nanoparticles enabled the absorption of a model photosensitizing antitumor drug (chlorin e6) in the core/shell interface of the nanoparticles. The experimental results demonstrated that the Y-shaped ligands on the nanoparticles enabled a significant enhancement of <I>in vitro</I>/<I>in vivo</I> cellular uptake for human primary glioblastoma U87-MG cells as a result of multivalent endocytosis by Y-shaped ligands (transferrin receptor-mediated endocytosis and the following Tat peptide-mediated cellular interaction). Furthermore, the Ce6-loaded nanoparticles showed significant enhancement of <I>in vitro</I>/<I>in vivo</I> photodynamic U87-MG cell ablation under light illumination.</P>

Objectives : Insufficient management of harmful working environment in infantry divisions lead to the possibility of workers being exposed to the workplace related disorders. Through harmful working environment condition investigations, an appropriate management plan is to be suggested. Methods : By conducting interviews with each infantry divisional workplace managers, status of individual workplace environment could be investigated. surveys related to the working environment were given out to the workers. Results : The investigation revealed that the harmful working environment conditions included welding, washing with chemical solvents, soldering of communicative equipment, and woodworking. In the survey, 56% of the workers were satisfied with their working environment, but 19.1% of the workers felt seriously concerned about the harmful conditions of their workplace. 30% of the workers replied that installing ventilation systems could advance the conditions and has the highest priority in terms of improving the workplace. 29.8% of the workers replied that they have received safety and health education. 25.7% also answered that the most desired information to be included in the education was the effect of harmful substances on health. Conclusions : The result of the investigation on infantry division harmful working environment conditions revealed that the working procedures were being carried out in small scales, but harmful factors such as noise, chemical dust, organic compounds, and heavy metals were affecting the workers' health. Moreover, health management of workers has not been carried out until now, and immediate attention of prevention of occupational diseases is needed. Therefore, it is necessary to reinforce harmful factors sampling of the workplace environment, workers' health diagnosis and industrial disease prevention through safety and health education.
