In this paper we study the planetary magnetic disturbance during the magnetic storm occurring on 5 April 2010 associated with high-speed solar wind stream due to a coronal hole following a coronal mass ejection. We separate the magnetic disturbance associated to the ionospheric disturbance dynamo (Ddyn) from the magnetic disturbance associated to the prompt penetration of magnetospheric electric field (DP2). This event exhibits different responses of ionospheric disturbance dynamo in the different longitude sectors (European-African, Asian, and American). The strongest effect is observed in the European-African sector. The Ddyn disturbance reduces the amplitude of the daytime H component at low latitudes during four consecutive days in agreement with the Blanc and Richmond's model of ionospheric disturbance dynamo. The amplitude of Ddyn decreased with time during the 4days. We discuss its diverse worldwide effects. The observed signature of magnetic disturbance process in specific longitude sector is strongly dependent on which Earth's side faces the magnetic storms (i.e., there is a different response depending on which longitude sector is at noon when the SSC hits). Finally, we determined an average period of 22h for Ddyn using wavelet analysis.
Suggested Integrative Approach for Hand Abscess with Cupping Therapy: a case study

A forty-three-year-old male patient was diagnosed with an acute abscess in the dorsum of the right hand. On the 5th day of conventional pharmacological therapy the patient was still suffering, and was referred to the Outpatient department (OPD) to evacuate and drain the abscess and treat the edema around the area with Hijama (wet cupping therapy, WCT). The hand abscess was successfully cured within a week using an integrative approach of wet cupping therapy together with conventional drug therapy.

This study explores the nexus between governance, technology, and resilience in smart tourism destinations, elucidating how smart governance can bolster destination adaptability and resilience. Through a quantitative approach and an extensive questionnaire survey, governance and resilience dynamics, along with ICT roles, are scrutinized across Spanish tourism destinations. Results highlight the pivotal role of adaptable governance structures and strategic planning in driving successful smart initiatives. Diverse adoption patterns and varying effectiveness levels underscore the necessity for tailored approaches. By providing actionable insights, this research empowers policymakers and destination managers to enhance destination resilience and competitiveness through ICT-driven governance strategies.
Lost gamma source detection algorithm based on convolutional neural network

Based on the convolutional neural network (CNN), a novel technique is investigated for lost gamma source detection in a room. The CNN is trained with the result of a GEANT4 simulation containing a gamma source inside a meshed room. The dataset for the training process is the deposited energy in the meshes of different n-step paths. The neural network is optimized with parameters such as the number of input data and path length. Based on the proposed method, the place of the gamma source can be recognized with reasonable accuracy without human intervention. The results show that only by 5 measurements of the energy deposited in a 5-step path, (5 sequential points 50 cm apart within 1600 meshes), the gamma source location can be estimated with 94% accuracy. Also, the method is tested for the room geometry containing the interior walls. The results show 90% accuracy with the energy deposition measurement in the meshes of a 5-step path.

The results of temperature-dependent surface tension calculations of pure liquids aluminium (933e1200 K) and iron (1811e2500 K), in the framework of the theoretical considerations suggested by Eyring, are presented. It is observed that the surface tension decreases linearly with temperature. The calculated surface tension data are fitted as g ¼ 985e0.275(T Tm) and g ¼ 1560e0.387(T Tm) for Al and Fe, respectively. Moreover, the surface tension (gLV) at melting point, surface energy (gSV) and crystal-melt interfacial energy (gSL) are calculated for many metals. The agreement between the calculated and the reported measured values is reasonable.

In this paper, a novel type auxiliary active edge resonant snubber assisted zero current soft switching pulse modulation Single-Ended Push Pull (SEPP) series load resonant inverter using IGBT power modules is proposed for cost effective consumer high-frequency induction heating (IH) appliances. Its operating principle in steady state is described by using each switching mode's equivalent operating circuits. The new multi resonant high-frequency inverter with series load resonance and edge resonance can regulate its high frequency output power under a condition of a constant frequency zero current soft switching (ZCS) commutation principle on the basis of the asymmetrical pulse width modulation (PWM) control scheme. Brand-new consumer IH products using the proposed ZCS-PWM series load resonant SEPP high-frequency inverter using IGBTs is evaluated and discussed as compared with conventional high-frequency inverters on the basis of experimental results. In order to extend ZCS operation ranges under a low power setting PWM as well as to improve efficiency, the high frequency pulse density modulation (PDM) strategy is demonstrated for high frequency multi-resonant inverters. Its practical effectiveness is substantially proved from an application point of view.

The carbonization performance of the iron-containing carbon film resulting from polyimide was examined, Polyimide/Fe composite films were prepared from Iron (III) 2,4-pentanedionate (Fe(acac)) and poly(amic acid) (PAA) based on ODA and PMDA via a solution process in DMAC, followed by carbonization the polyimide film at a temperature range of 600–1600 °C. The organized polyimide/Fe combined fi lms were characterized using a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Raman. The formation of Fe particles and the synthesis of polyimide (PMDA/ODA) in the polyimide matrix is confirmed by FTIR results. Meantime, in the polyimide matrix, Fe particles were well spread which were showed by the SEM images. Kinetic parameters and thermal stability of the degradation methods for the organized polyimide/Fe combined films were examined in N 2 environment by TGA. The results have shown that the values of the calculated activation energies and thermal stability increased of the (Fe (acac)) the activation energy and loading also different with the weight-loss rate for all compositions.

This paper presents a new circuit topology of active edge resonant snubbers assisted half-bridge soft switching PWM inverter type DC-DC high power converter for DC bus feeding power plants. The proposed DC-DC power converter is composed of a typical voltage source-fed half-bridge high frequency PWM inverter with a high frequency planar transformer link in addition to input DC busline side power semiconductor switching devices for PWM control scheme and parallel capacitive lossless snubbers. The operating principle of the new DC-DC converter treated here is described by using switching mode equivalent circuits, together with its unique features. All the active power switches in the half-bridge arms and input DC buslines can achieve ZCS turn-on and ZVS turn-off commutation transitions. The total turn-off switching losses of the power switches can be significantly reduced. As a result, a high switching frequency IGBTs can be actually selected in the frequency range of 60 kHz under the principle of soft switching. The performance evaluations of the experimental setup are illustrated practically. The effectiveness of this new converter topology is proved for such low voltage and large current DC-DC power supplies as DC bus feeding from a practical point of view.

This study aims to evaluate the influence of the input parameters on the resulted cutting quality and dimensionalstability in cutting different thicknesses of sugar palm fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester (SPF-UPE) cut utilizing abrasivewater jet (AWJ) and lease beam (LBM) machining techniques. In this research, broad ranges of input parameter values wereapplied and then evaluated their impact on cutting quality and dimensional stability by means of examination with the nakedeye and microscopic testing to determine the defects resulting in both cutting process, and then determining the ranges ofinput parameters that give the best results which can be used as start points in subsequent studies related to evaluating ofsurface quality, and kerf taper angle, etc. In this study, specific ranges of input parameters were obtained through whichsuccessful cutting process can be achieved that give good cutting quality with stable specimen dimensions. Also, through thisstudy, the ranges of input parameters that result in unsuccessful cutting processes were determined, whether those ranges thatproduce defects represented in the various types of damages at the cutting zone or uncompleted cuts due to the application ofunsuitable parameter values. From the study, it can be concluded that the desired results from both cutting processes can beachieved by applying the appropriate ranges of the input parameters.
