        Multi-Criteria Group Decision Making under Imprecise Preference Judgments : Using Fuzzy Logic with Linguistic Quantifier

        본 논문에서는 각 대안의 속성 평가와 속성 자체의 중요도에 대한 평가에 있어 불명료한 선호정보 형태로 주어진 경우, linguistic quantifier를 통한 퍼지논리를 활용하여 그룹의사결정을 지원하는 방법을 제시하였다. 불명료한 선호정보는 의사결정 관련 문헌에서 의사결정자에게 요구되는 선호정보 명시의 부담을 줄여주고, 판단의 모호성을 받아들이고자 하는 시각으로서 다뤄져 왔다. 그러나 불명료한 유형의 선호정보를 허용할 경우 의사결정그룹이 원하는 대안의 명확한 선택이 보다 어려워진다. 따라서 추가적인 정보획득을 위한 의사결정자들과의 상호작용이 요구되지만, 이는 불명료한 선호정보를 허용하였던 초기의 취지를 반감시킬 뿐더러, 반드시 최적의 대안을 보장하는 것도 아니다. 이러한 상황을 타계하기 위하여, fuzzy majority의 의미를 반영하고 있는 linguistic quantifier를 활용함으로써 satisfying solution을 구하는 절차를 제시하였다. 이는 mathematical programming을 활용한 의사결정 기법과 다수의 객체를 집성하기 위한 개략적 해법을 결합한 접근방식이다. The increasing complexity of the socio-economic environments makes it less and less possible for single decision-maker to consider all relevant aspects of problem. Therefore, many organizations employ groups in decision making. In this paper, we present a multiperson decision making method using fuzzy logic with linguistic quantifier when each of group members specifies imprecise judgments possibly both on performance evaluations of alternatives with respect to the multiple criteria and on the criteria. Inexact or vague preferences have appeared in the decision making literatures with a view to relaxing the burdens of preference specifications imposed to the decision-makers and thus taking into account the vagueness of human judgments. Allowing for the types of imprecise judgments in the model, however, makes more difficult a clear selection of alternative(s) that a group wants to make. So, further interactions with the decision-makers may proceed to the extent to compensate for the initial comforts of preference specifications. These interactions may not however guarantee the selection of the best alternative to implement. To circumvent this deadlock situation, we present a procedure for obtaining a satisfying solution by the use of linguistic quantifier guided aggregation which implies fuzzy majority. This is an approach to combine a prescriptive decision method via a mathematical programming and a well-established approximate solution method to aggregate multiple objects.

        배치 트래픽 특성을 고려한 IEEE 802.15.4 비경합구간 성능 모델링 및 평가

        본 논문에서는 저전력 통신 기술인 IEEE 802.15.4 MAC (Media Access Control) 프로토콜에서 지원하는 Collision Free Period(CFP)에서의 전송 성능 분석을 수행한다. 분석을 위해 CFP의 서비스 타겟인 주기적 트래픽을 고려하고 Quality of Service 요구사항에 따라 MAC 계층에 전달되는 패킷전달 형태를 batch와 non-batch로 구분하여 throughput, delay, energy 측면에서 성능을 분석한다. 도출된 분석 결과를 토대로 Pedometer, ECG, EMG와 같이 주기적인 트래픽을 생성하는 헬스케어 애플리케이션에 대해 Collision Avoidance Period(CAP)에서의 전송과 성능 비교를 수행한다. 성능 평가를 통해 헬스케어와 같이 주기적이며 time-critical 트래픽을 생성하는 애플리케이션은 CFP 전송이 에너지 효율적이며 대역폭 요구 사항이 큰 애플리케이션에서는 CAP 대비 최대 46%의 에너지가 절감됨을 확인하였다. In this paper, we performed the analysis of transmission performance for Collision Free Period(CFP) supported by the low-power communication technology, IEEE 802.15.4 MAC (Media Access Control). For the analysis, periodic traffic, original service target of CFP, is considered and, according to the Quality of Service required, packet arrival pattern to MAC layer is categorized as batch and non–batch, and analysis on throughput, delay, and energy is performed for those patterns. On the basis of the obtained analysis, performance comparison with Collision Avoidance Period(CAP) is carried out for the health care applications that generate periodic traffic such as Pedometer, ECG, EMG. The evaluation confirms that CFP is more energy efficient for healthcare applications that generate periodic and time-critical traffic and moreover for the application with high bandwidth requirement CFP achieves up to 46% energy savings compared to CAP.

        수출입 물류의 e-Seal 적용 방안에 관한 연구

        최근 각 국 정부와 산업계는 테러리스트들의 위협으로부터 국제무역 보호, 특히 해상 컨테이너 물류의 보안에 주목하게 되었다. e-Seal은 수출입 물류에서 컨테이너 문의 비정상적인 개폐, 또는 비정상적인 개폐의 시도를 감지하여 알려주고 그 이력을 유지해 줌으로써 보안 기능을 수행할 수 있다. 그러나 아직까지 비즈니스 분석과 요구 사항으로부터 도출된 e-Seal의 적용 방안에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 비즈니스 프로세스 분석에 기반하여 수출입 물류에 e-Seal을 어떻게 적용할 것인가 하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 수출입 업무 담당자, 관세 업무 담당자, 수출입 지원 정보시스템 운영자 등의 인터뷰를 수행하였다. 수출입 물류 비즈니스 프로세스 분석을 통하여 e-Seal 응용에 관련된 기술 및 비즈니스 요구 사항을 파악하고 e-Seal 적용 방안을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 e-Seal 도입을 위한 비즈니스 프로세스 재설계 및 응용 시스템 개발에 기여할 수 있을 것이다. Recently, governments and industry have given more attention to the security of containerized cargo shipments and e-Seal, an electronic device to check the authenticity and integrity of freight containers at the point of arrival. However, there are few publications on applying e-Seals derived from business analysis and requirements. In this paper, we proposed how to apply e-Seal for logistics in imports and exports based on business process analysis. For this objective, we conducted the study by collecting the necessary information on business process in imports and exports from shipping agents and Korea Customs Service. We figured out both technical and business requirements related to e-Seal applications based on analyzing logistics process in imports and exports. The proposed approach is expected to play a meaningful role as an effective way for developing new e-Seal application.

        With the goal to makes the best decision they can, based on all the information they have, as quickly as possible, with the right level of participation and commitment, many organizations employ groups in decision-making. In this study, the extended group decision-making method of the procedure presented by Choi et al.’s1 is presented. Contrary to prior work, the different dominating degrees are calculated for each alternative based on the different fuzzy majority concepts of each decision-maker, considered individually.

        In recent years, a variety of admission systems has been tested as an attempt to reform university admission system. To scrutinize the influence of admission systems on GPA and defection rate, this study conducted statistical tests with 279 students data in industrial and management engineering major. With this purpose, the types of admission system were categorized into regular admission, nonscheduled general admission, admission officer system, and special admission. The results of analysis of variance and cross-tabulation analysis showed that there are no significant relationship between admission types and GPA as well as defection rate in the context of industrial and management engineering major. Though not significant, it seems that the students admitted through admission officer system show pros of low defection rate and cons of non-improvment in GPA

        Recently, various admission systems have been tested as an attempt to reform university admission system. To scrutinize the influence of admission systems on GPA and defection rate, this study conducted statistical tests with 289 students data in safety engineering major. With this purpose, the types of admission system were categorized into regular admission, nonscheduled general admission, admission officer system, and special admission. The results of analysis of variance and cross-tabulation analysis showed that there is significant relationship between admission types and GPA. However, the relationship between admission types and defection rate is not significant in the context of safety engineering major. It seems that the students admitted through admission officer system show pros of low defection rate and cons of non-improvment in GPA.

      • 화공생물공학전공 대입전형 간 GPA와 이탈률 비교 연구

        In nowadays education policies, as an attempt to improve university admission system, a variety of admission systems have been devised and applied. With the purpose of scrutinizing the relationship between admission systems and GPA/defection rate within chemical and biological engineering major context, this study conducted statistical tests with 317 students data. In this study, the types of admission system were categorized into four types (regular admission, nonscheduled general admission, admission officer system, and special admission). The results of analysis of variance showed that regular admission and nonscheduled general admission have the higher GPA than special admission type. Especially for nonscheduled general admission type, the recent student group showed the better GPA trend than the prior year group. On the contrary, in the case of regular admission type, the recent student group showed the worse GPA trend than the recent year group. The results of cross-tabulation analysis showed that there is significant relationship between admission types and defection rate. The type of special admission showed the higher defection rate compared to other admission types in chemical and biological engineering major. It seems notable that admission officer system type showed zero defection case. In chemical and biological engineering major, thus, it seems worth considering the increase of nonscheduled general admission type portion and the decrease of special admission type portion for better student's academic ability and defection rate.

      • 기계공학전공 대입전형 간 GPA와 이탈률 비교 연구

        As an attempt to improve university admission system, a variety of admission systems have been devised and applied in nowadays education policies. With the purpose of scrutinizing the relationship between admission systems and GPA/defection rate within mechanical engineering major context, this study conducted statistical tests with 451 students data. The types of admission system were categorized into four types (regular admission, nonscheduled general admission, admission officer system, and special admission) in this study. The results of analysis of variance showed that regular admission has the higher GPA than other types. The results of cross-tabulation analysis showed that there is no significant relationship between admission types and defection rate, but the type of special admission showed the higher defection rate compared to other admission types in the mechanical engineering major. Thus, it seems that the customized follow-up services for special admission type is required for mechanical engineering major. In addition, it seems possible to adjust the portion of regular admission type and special admission type for better student's academic ability and lower defection rate.
