Research on roll forming process and springback based on five-boundary condition forming angle distribution function

        Chunjian Su,Jiazhen Liu,Zexuan Zhao,Shumei Lou,Rui Wang,Longyun Yang 대한기계학회 2020 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.34 No.12

In the present study, a five-boundary conditional distribution function of the forming angle is proposed. The stress, strain, and springback of a sheet in roll-forming process under three different angle distribution functions are studied. Furthermore, effects of forming angle increment, sheet thickness, and material yield strength on stress, strain distribution, and springback of sheet during roll forming are studied under optimized forming angle. The results demonstrate that stress, strain, and springback of each pass based on increment of forming angle under five-boundary condition during roll forming are less than those achieved by other forming angle distribution methods. The stress and strain in the bending zone increase with increase in the sheet thickness. After roll forming, the springback angle decreases with the increase of sheet thickness, increases with the increase of forming angle and material yield strength. However, springback angle can be effectively reduced by increasing the number of passes or correction rolls.

Experimental research on preparation and machining performance of porous electrode in electrical discharge machining

        Yi Jiang,Linglei Kong,Jianfeng Yu,Chunjian Hua,Wansheng Zhao 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.12

The present describes a porous electrode for electrical discharge machining (EDM) that can decrease the concentration of corrosion products in the discharge gap. The electrode is prepared by high-temperature sintering of copper particles. A large number of red copper particles become connected together through sintering necks to form a structure with a large number of pores that act as flushing channels. By exploring the preparation method, material, sintering temperature, and holding time, a porous electrode is prepared such that copper particles do not fall off during the discharge process. The flow of the flushing medium is simulated in the porous electrode, and the action of the flushing flow field in the discharge gap on erosion products is identified. In agreement with the simulation results, experimental results for the EDM of the titanium alloy Ti6Al4V show that the material removal rate with a porous electrode is 3 times higher than that for traditional EDM with a solid electrode. Moreover, the electrode wear is lower due to the effective discharge of the corrosion products by the flushing liquid. Experimental results when rough machining a complex semi-closed cavity show that the porous electrode can greatly shorten the machining time by 47 %, which demonstrates that a porous electrode improves the machining of a complex cavity in a titanium alloy.

An integrated strategy for extraction and pre-concentration of four astragalosides from Radix Astragali by a formulated surfactant aqueous system

        Suixin Wang,Jiao Jiao,Xinyu Wang,Qingyan Gai,Ping Kou,Wenjing Xu,Meng Luo,Chunjian Zhao,Yu-Jie Fu 한국공업화학회 2019 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.70 No.-

Integrated and environmentally friendly methods for extraction and enrichment of natural products havegained increasing interests. The proposed preparation process provides the possibility that extractionand pre-concentration for astragalosides from Radix Astragali roots can be conducted with the surfactantaqueous system in one single procedure. The formulated surfactant system composing of 2% TX-114 assurfactant and 0.03% (w/v) of Gemini 16-5-16 as co-surfactant showed higher extraction efficiency withultrasonic-assisted method and four astragalosides could be enriched by the cloud point phenomenon ofsurfactant. This work represents a valuable alternative for the eco-friendly extraction and enrichment ofsecondary metabolites from plants.

A new green alternative solvent for extracting echinacoside and acteoside from Cistanche deserticola based on ternary natural deep eutectic solvent

        Fang Nie,Changyin Feng,Naveed Ahmad,Mengfei Tian,Qinglong Liu,Weihao Wang,Ziqi Lin,Chunying Li,Chunjian Zhao 한국공업화학회 2023 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.118 No.-

Echinacoside and acteoside, the representative constituents of Cistanche deserticola Y. C. Ma (C. deserticola),are known for its many important biological activities. In this study, a novel ternary natural deepeutectic solvent (NADES) (citric acid, fructose and glucose in a 1:2:1 molar ratio, 30 % water content)was obtained through the adjustment and optimization of single-factor experiments. And through theBox-Behnken design optimization, the optimal extraction conditions were obtained, at the moment, the yields of echinacoside and acteoside were 6.16 and 2.13 mg/g, respectively. In addition, through computermolecular simulation, it was found that there are strong hydrogen bonds and interactions betweenthe molecules of NADES, and the hydrogen bonds, van der Waals forces and p-p interactions played animportant role in the extraction of echinacoside and acteoside from C. deserticola by NADES. Finally, comparedwith the traditional method, NADES ultrasound-assisted extraction of echinacoside and acteosidehas a shorter time (15 min), the maximum extraction yield is 1.54–2.86 times and 1.26–2.52 times thanthat of traditional extraction methods for echinacoside and acteoside, respectively. This study demonstratesthat NADES can provides a new direction for developing new sustainable alternatives, improvinggreen extraction process and efficiency for extracting natural active substances.
