        Wind vibration control of stay cables using an evolutionary algorithm

        In steel cable bridges, the use of magnetorheological (MR) dampers between butt cables is constantly increasing to dampen vibrations caused by rain and wind. The biggest problem in the actual applications of those devices is to launch a kind of appropriate algorithm that can effectively and efficiently suppress the perturbation of the tie through basic calculations and optimal solutions. This article discusses the optimal evolutionary design based on a linear and quadratic regulator (hereafter LQR) to lessen the perturbation of the bridges with cables. The control numerical algorithms are expected to effectively and efficiently decrease the possible risks of the structural response in amplification owing to the feedback force in the direction of the MR attenuator. In addition, these numerical algorithms approximate those optimal linear quadratic regulator control forces through the corresponding damping and stiffness, which significantly lessens the work of calculating the significant and optimal control forces. Therefore, it has been shown that it plays an important and significant role in the practical application design of semiactive MR control power systems. In the present proposed novel evolutionary parallel distributed compensator scheme, the vibrational control problem with a simulated demonstration is used to evaluate the numerical algorithmic performance and effectiveness. The results show that these semiactive MR control numerical algorithms which are present proposed in the present paper has better performance than the optimal and the passive control, which is almost reaching the levels of linear quadratic regulator controls with minimal feedback requirements.

      • Modified algorithmic LMI design with applications in aerospace vehicles

        A modified fuzzy mechanical control of large-scale multiple time delayed dynamic systems in states is considered in this paper. To do this, at the first level, a two-step strategy is proposed to divide a large system into several interconnected subsystems. As a modified fuzzy control command, the next was received as feedback theory based on the energetic function and the LMI optimal stability criteria which allow researchers to solve this problem and have the whole system in asymptotically stability. Modeling the Fisher equation and the temperature gauge for high-speed aircraft and spacecraft shows that the calculation method is efficient.

      • LMI based criterion for reinforced concrete frame structures

        Due to the influence of nonlinearity and time-variation, it is difficult to establish an accurate model of concrete frame structures that adopt active controllers. Fuzzy theory is a relatively appropriate method but susceptible to human subjective experience to decrease the performance. To guarantee the stability of multi-time delays complex system with multi-interconnections, a delay-dependent criterion of evolved design is proposed in this paper. Based on this criterion, the sector nonlinearity which converts the nonlinear model to multiple rule base of the linear model and a new sufficient condition to guarantee the asymptotic stability via Lyapunov function is implemented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). A numerical simulation for a three-layer reinforced concrete frame structure subjected to earthquakes is demonstrated that the proposed criterion is feasible for practical applications.

      • An intelligent fuzzy theory for ocean structure system analysis

        This paper deals with the problem of the global stabilization for a class of ocean structure systems. It is well known that, in general, the global asymptotic stability of the ocean structure subsystems does not imply the global asymptotic stability of the composite closed-loop system. The classical fuzzy inference methods cannot work to their full potential in such circumstances because given knowledge does not cover the entire problem domain. However, requirements of fuzzy systems may change over time and therefore, the use of a static rule base may affect the effectiveness of fuzzy rule interpolation due to the absence of the most concurrent (dynamic) rules. Designing a dynamic rule base yet needs additional information. In this paper, we demonstrate this proposed methodology is a flexible and general approach, with no theoretical restriction over the employment of any particular interpolation in performing interpolation nor in the computational mechanisms to implement fitness evaluation and rule promotion.

      • Optimized AI controller for reinforced concrete frame structures under earthquake excitation

        This article discusses the issue of optimizing controller design issues, in which the artificial intelligence (AI) evolutionary bat (EB) optimization algorithm is combined with the fuzzy controller in the practical application of the building. The controller of the system design includes different sub-parts such as system initial condition parameters, EB optimal algorithm, fuzzy controller, stability analysis and sensor actuator. The advantage of the design is that for continuous systems with polytypic uncertainties, the integrated H2/H∞ robust output strategy with modified criterion is derived by asymptotically adjusting design parameters. Numerical verification of the time domain and the frequency domain shows that the novel system design provides precise prediction and control of the structural displacement response, which is necessary for the active control structure in the fuzzy model. Due to genetic algorithm (GA), we use a hierarchical conditions of the Hurwitz matrix test technique and the limits of average performance, Hierarchical Fitness Function Structure (HFFS). The dynamic fuzzy controller proposed in this paper is used to find the optimal control force required for active nonlinear control of building structures. This method has achieved successful results in closed system design from the example.

      • Hazard analysis and monitoring for debris flow based on intelligent fuzzy detection

        This study aims to develop the fuzzy risk assessment model of the debris flow to verify the accuracy of risk assessment in order to help related organizations reduce losses caused by landslides. In this study, actual cases of landslides that occurred are utilized as the database. The established models help us assess the occurrence of debris flows using computed indicators, and to verify the model errors. In addition, comparisons are made between the models to determine the best one to use in practical applications. The results prove that the risk assessment model systems are quite suitable for debris flow risk assessment.         PDC Intelligent control-based theory for structure system dynamics

        This paper deals with the problem of global stabilization for a class of nonlinear control systems. An effective approach is proposed for controlling the system interaction of structures through a combination of parallel distributed compensation (PDC) intelligent controllers and fuzzy observers. An efficient approximate inference algorithm using expectation propagation and a Bayesian additive model is developed which allows us to predict the total number of control systems, thereby contributing to a more adaptive trajectory for the closed-loop system and that of its corresponding model. The closed-loop fuzzy system can be made as close as desired, so that the behavior of the closed-loop system can be rigorously predicted by establishing that of the closed-loop fuzzy system.

      • Advanced controller design for AUV based on adaptive dynamic programming

        The main purpose to introduce model based controller in proposed control technique is to provide better and fast learning of the floating dynamics by means of fuzzy logic controller and also cancelling effect of nonlinear terms of the system. An iterative adaptive dynamic programming algorithm is proposed to deal with the optimal trajectory-tracking control problems for autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). The optimal tracking control problem is converted into an optimal regulation problem by system transformation. Then the optimal regulation problem is solved by the policy iteration adaptive dynamic programming algorithm. Finally, simulation example is given to show the performance of the iterative adaptive dynamic programming algorithm.
