Boiko, Viktoriia,Liubynskyi, Oleksandr,Strikha, Liudmyla,Zarakhovskyi, Oleksandr Y.,Neilenko, Sergii International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2021 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.21 No.4
The scientific paper studies the impact of tourism and traveling on the economic level of development of countries at the macro level and its relationship with other sectors of the economy. Tourism is one of the budget-forming factors of every economy. This work describes the main trends in the development of tourism. It is determined that about one third of tourism revenues are generated by the food sector, i.e., the culinary niche of tourism. Culinary tourism is a new direction of tourism, but it is developing quite dynamically in the EU. Culinary is an important part of rural tourism in the EU and culinary tourism is actively promoted at fairs and festivals. In recent years rural tourism has been developing both at the international level and in Ukraine, primarily due to its features, which include the implementation of the principles of sustainable community development, preservation of local traditions and cultural values, gastronomic events to promote them. The aim of the article is to study the theoretical aspects of the development of gastronomic tourism in the world, to analyze the actual condition of gastronomic tourism in the EU and Ukraine, identifying prospects and ways to develop regional gastronomic tourism. The methodological and informational basis of the work is analytical reports and researches related to the development of event tourism and statistics. Systematic and logistical approaches to the studied problems were used to achieve this goal. Various general scientific and special research methods were also used. Based on PESTLE analysis, key aspects of the external environment of gastronomic tourism in Ukraine are identified. We took into account the principles of sustainable development: political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental. The main trends in the development of gastronomic tourism in the world are studied and it is found that the greatest development in the coming years will be the trend of combining gastronomic and event tourism on the basis of sustainable development. The main preconditions and possibilities of introduction of this holistic approach to the strategy of development of the tourist branch of Ukraine are determined. A model of sustainable value chain of gastronomic tourism in the region is formed and the main advantages of its implementation are identified: formation of a regional brand, preservation of culinary traditions, development of green farming, minimization of negative impact on the environment, sustainable development of communities.
Measurement method of complex viscoelastic material properties
Boiko, A.V.,Kulik, V.M.,Seoudi, B.M.,Chun, H.H.,Lee, I. Pergamon Press ; Elsevier Science Ltd 2010 International journal of solids and structures Vol.47 No.3
A measurement technique of viscoelastic properties of polymers is proposed to investigate complex Poisson's ratio as a function of frequency. The forced vibration responses for the samples under normal and shear deformation are measured with varying load masses. To obtain modulus of elasticity and shear modulus, the present method requires only knowledge of the load mass, geometrical characteristics of a sample, as well as both the amplitude ratio and phase lag of the forcing and response oscillations. The measured data were used to obtain the viscoelastic properties of the material based on a 2D numerical deformation model of the sample. The 2D model enabled us to exclude data correction by the empirical form factor used in 1D model. Standard composition (90% PDMS polymer+10% catalyst) of silicone RTV rubber (Silastic(R) S2) were used for preparing three samples for axial stress deformation and three samples for shear deformation. Comprehensive measurements of modulus of elasticity, shear modulus, loss factor, and both real and imaginary parts of Poisson's ratio were determined for frequencies from 50 to 320Hz in the linear deformation regime (at relative deformations 10-6 to 10-4) at temperature 25oC. In order to improve measurement accuracy, an extrapolation of the obtained results to zero load mass was suggested. For this purpose measurements with several masses need to be done. An empirical requirement for the sample height-to-radius ratio to be more than 4 was found for stress measurements. Different combinations of the samples with different sizes for the shear and stress measurements exhibited similar results. The proposed method allows one to measure imaginary part of the Poisson's ratio, which appeared to be about 0.04-0.06 for the material of the present study.
Laminar-Turbulent Transition Research and Control in Near-wall Flow
Boiko A.V.,Chun H.H. The Society of Naval Architects of Korea 2004 Journal of ship and ocean technology Vol.8 No.4
A response of a swept wing boundary layer to a single free-stream stationary axial vortex of a limited spanwise extent is considered as an example of typical problems that one can find in laminar-turbulent transition research and control. The response is dominated by streamwise velocity perturbations that grow quasi-exponentially downstream. It is shown that the formation of the boundary layer disturbance occurs for the most part close to the leading edge. The disturbance represents itself a wave packet consisted of the waves with characteristics specific for cross-flow instability. However, an admixture of growing disturbances whose origin can be attributed to transient effects and to a distributed receptivity mechanism is also identified.

Skin frictional drag reduction efficiency of "stiff" compliant coating was investigated in a wind tunnel experiment. Flat plate compliant coating inserts were installed in a wind tunnel and the measurements of skin frictional drag and velocity field were carried out. The compliant coatings with varying viscoelastic properties had been prepared using different composition. In order to optimize the coating thickness, the most important design parameter, the dynamic viscoelastic properties had been determined experimentally. The aging of the materials (variation of their properties) during half a year was documented as well. A design procedure proposed by Kulik et al. (2008) was applied to get an optimal value for the coating thickness. Along with the drag measurement using the strain balance, velocity and pressure were measured for different coatings. The compliant coatings with the thickness h = 7mm achieved 4~5% drag reduction within a velocity range 30~40 m/s. The drag reduction mechanism of the attenuation of turbulence velocity fluctuations due to the compliant coating was demonstrated. It is envisioned that larger drag reduction effect is obtainable at higher flow velocities for high speed trains and subsonic aircrafts.

Effect of Riblets on the Streaky Structures Excited by Free Stream Tip Vortices in Boundary Layer
Audrey V. Boiko,Kwang Hyo Jung,Ho Hwan Chun,Inwon Lee 대한기계학회 2007 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.21 No.1
In this study, experimental investigations were made regarding the effect of riblets on the streak instability in boundary layer. The streak instability is now regarded as a major source of the self-regeneration mechanism for the hairpin type coherent structures in turbulent boundary layer flow. Thus, it is important to control the instability to suppress the drag-inducing vortical structure in terms of drag reduction. Toward enhancing the measurement accuracy and spatial resolution, an enlarged version of riblets was applied to a streak which was artificially induced by a micro wing in a laminar boundary layer. It is found that the rib lets have attenuation effect on the streak instability, i.e., to reduce the span wise velocity gradient of the quasi-streamwise streak in boundary layer.

On the Reverse of Streamwise Velocity Deficit in Formation of Boundary-layer Streaks
Suh, Sung-Bu,Boiko, Andrey V.,Chun, H. H. The Korean Association of Ocean Science and Techno 2005 Journal of Ocean Science and Technology Vol.2 No.1
The phenomenon of transformation of streamwise velocity deficit to excess in a near-wall wake behind a flat-plate roughness observed previously in numerous experiments is analyzed qualitatively by means of theories of optimal disturbances based on linearized Navier-Stokes and linearized boundary layer equations. It is shown that the reverse of the velocity deficit can accompany the excitation of a streak and that the formation of two maxima in the disturbance stream wise velocity profiles also observed in the experiments can be a side effect of the streak nonoptimality. An experimental approach aimed to provide quantitative data for comparison with a numerical solution of corresponding initial value problem is suggested.
