Analyzing nonlinear vibrations of metal foam nanobeams with symmetric and non-symmetric porosities
Alasadi, Abbas A.,Ahmed, Ridha A.,Faleh, Nadhim M. Techno-Press 2019 Advances in aircraft and spacecraft science Vol.6 No.4
This article is concerned with the investigation of geometrically non-linear vibration response of refined thick porous nanobeams. To this end, non-local theory of elasticity has been adopted to provide the nanobeam formulation. Voids or pores can affect the material characteristics of the nanobeam. So, their effects have been considered in this research and also there are various void distributions. The closed form solution of the non-linear problem has been used that is adopted from previous articles. Then, it is focused on the impacts of non-local field, void distribution, void amount and geometrical properties on non-linear vibrational characteristic of a nano-size beam.
Formation of Magnetic Structures for Trapping of Breast Cancer Cell
Alaa Alasadi,Ali Ghanim Gatea Al Rubaye 한국재료학회 2024 한국재료학회지 Vol.34 No.3
This work focuses on the fabrication of excellent magnetic structures for trapping breast cancer cells. Micromagnetic structures were patterned for trapping cancer cells by depositing 30 nm of permalloy on a silicon substrate. These structures were designed and fabricated using two fabrication techniques: electron beam lithography and laser direct writing. Two types of magnetic structures, rectangular wire and zig-zagged wire, were created on a silicon substrate. The length of each rectangular wire and each straight line of zig-zagged wire was 150 μm with a range of widths from 1 to 15 μm for rectangular and 1, 5, 10 and 15 μm for zigzag, respectively. The magnetic structures showed good responses to the applied magnetic field despite adding layers of silicon nitride and polyethylene glycol. The results showed that Si + Si3N4 + PEG exhibited the best adhesion of cells to the surface, followed by Si + Py + Si3N4 + PEG. concentration of 5-6 with permalloy indicates that this layer affected silicon nitride in the presence of Polyethylene glycolPEG.

Fee vibrational characteristics of porous steel double-coupled nanoplate system in thermo-elastic medium is studied via a refined plate model. Different pore dispersions called uniform, symmetric and asymmetric have been defined. Nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT) containing two scale parameters has been adopted to stablish size-dependent modeling of the system. Hamilton's principle has been adopted to stablish the governing equations. Obtained results from Galerkin's method are verified with those provided in the literature. The effects of nonlocal parameter, strain gradient, foundation parameters, porosity distributions and porosity coefficient on vibration frequencies of metal foam nanoscale plates have been examined.

In present article, a size-dependent refined thick beam element has been established based upon nonlocal elasticity theory. Next, it is used to explore vibration response of porous metal foam nanobeams on elastic medium. The established beam element introduces ten degrees of freedom. Different porosity distributions called uniform, symmetric and asymmetric will be employed. Herein, introduced thick beam element contains shear deformations without using correction factors. Convergence and verification studies of obtained results from finite element method are also provided. The impacts of nonlocality factor, foundation factors, shear deformation, slenderness ratio, porosity kinds and porosity factor on vibration frequencies of metal foam nano-sized beams have been explored.
